Very nice video showing how more and more impressive Greater Manchester is! And there are still places for development in near future in Salford shown here.
Thank you for the update. 🙂 👍 Very classy, colourful and descriptive. Can see Trinity Islands coming on. Be landmarks. Ordsall Chord is impressive structurally but a bit of a white elephant. Built as part of the Northern Hub which was promised to be built and paid for by the government to alleviate the rail bottleneck in Mcr and beyond, which also included two new platforms (15 & 16) at Piccadilly and the upgrading to main line standard and electrification of the line from Ashburys Midland Junction to Philips Park Junction, the heavy rail line that runs right past the Colin Bell Stand at City's Campus. Government then just U-turned on most of it. As a result the Ordsall Chord sees a derisory about one train per hour each direction over the Ordsall Chord. That green building in New Bailey, Salford, is the highest living wall in Europe. Middlewood Locks behind seems in stasis. Used as a surface car park from your video and wasteland. Plans for the next phases include more residential towers. Viadux2 was due a planning decision three weeks ago after formally being lodged after public consultation. Part of Viadux2 near the Beetham Tower includes plans for the largest residential tower in Europe at 76 floors. Decision seems to have been delayed. English Heritage objected to the proposals. Best be on standby. 😉
