  • This story has had everyone in a vice grip since release, but why is that?
In this video, I interpret why we're all so drawn to this story, mostly using my experiences as a vehicle to explain why we may be drawn to this story.
Been working on it for a few weeks, and totally missed any of the new developments that have released afterward (including rl Martha and why the Internet is having a witch hunt).
Let me know if you'd like a follow up, down in the comments!

This was very well done. Thank you for sharing that, it was very brave of you to do so. I was able to relate to the show for similar reasons as well. We all go thru shit we don't share, but being able to somewhat move past it to a stage where you can use that to empower others positively is a blessing. I agree the show was well done.

Thanks so much for sharing!!! That was so brave of you! You are deserving of so much grace and I’m glad you are giving your self that. Some loads definitely should not have been carried for so long but we learn that just cause we are used to it doesn’t mean it isn’t heavy. I honestly loved this show for how raw it was. Several times he admitted to the audience that he got himself into this situation and that he..honestly was probably just as bad Martha, a part of him wanted to be worthy of being stalked that way. He craved fame so much and had already lost so much of himself, that in way it’s like.. at least there’s Martha. I do feel bad for her in different ways. It’s just nuts how pain unravels it’s self in ourselves and others.

I don’t know to me it was barely interesting, and it kind of seemed like Donnie was also stocking her. I don’t know and they didn’t even do a real psychological thriller thing that they could’ve done. It wasn’t really up to snuff.

If you're looking at it through a horror/thriller lens, then yeah, it's pretty tame comparatively. For me, it was more so all the dark facets of humans that was most horrific to see, and the lasting damage it can leave behind.
The parts with him engaging unethically with his stalker definitely had a gross effect for me, but I think it speaks to the fact that in order to be victimized like this, there has to be a level of mental illness that you also possess. I think that's what stuck out to me. And his behavior definitely gave off the impression that there was a lot wrong in him for this all to have transpired.
thanks for your comment tho, it's interesting to see that something can resonate for some of us and just not land at all for others.
