I originally purchased a Sunday Driver SW for clean boost for my archtop to amp rig. I had heard it on stage and used by a Jazz player. When I purchased and installed it, I heard an amazing improvement in sound quality. I eventually picked up two switching pedals and the volume pedal for use on my "big board" with dual amps. I got one more switching pedal for my acoustic board. They are superb quality and I realized they had more functions than I originally understood. These pedals are highest quality and more versatile than I expected.
Have a DUAL for years and years now, also added a P-Split later. More on the expensive side, but you'll never need another one in your life... IMO the best way to save some money. And in use by guys like Joe Perry / Aerosmith etc., so they kinda stood any road test imaginable.
Henning, these boxes are amazing. Most of the time, honestly, the high end devices don't quite cut it for me. Overpriced and not as good as they claim to be. Lehle is really cool. It looks like quality all the way through. Definitely worth the money. You know how cheap I am. I would buy these for sure. I hope they start to make effects pedals as well. They are well on the way with the expression pedal! Thank you Henning.
HENNING!!! Not sure if you will see this, but I just heard "Last Chance to See" while watching your video on the Schmidt Array pedalboard. When it started playing I didn't know what I was listening to, and then I heard the music from the BBC TV series of Hitchhikers and I instantly gave it ALL of my attention. What a fantastic song and beautiful tribute. The lyrics left me with a tear in my eye. Now I understand you better, HP42.
ForViewingOnly Thanks man, Douglas Adams means the world to me on so many levels and when he died I realized that I would never have a chance to hear him read love... and just a month before he died he read at a university an hour away from my house... I missed my last chance...
Hi people, just wanted to give everybody a heads up on this company. I bought a pedal of theirs and the micro switches went south on this pedal. Contacted Lehle and they were very evasive about having my pedal repaired. Their products are pretty good when working, but if something goes south on one of these pedals, good luck on getting it fixed. There are no generic parts that can be replaced. Customer service is so so. I will buy some things made in Denmark or Germany in the future. But you know what, nothing is perfect, things do go on the bum eventually. Still a very good product.
@Chese 311 , just an update on this pedal. I got a friend of mine to install the two push buttons on the Lehle 1@3. They are the small buttons. These are soldered onto and through the circuit board. Not an easy task to replace. Then the LED light failed. These lights are surfaced mounted, so you really need someone qualified to do the work on circuit boards. It took me a lot of searching to find a guy who does this kind of work. I finally found a guy in Toronto and finally got the pedal back. Total cost to me was a little over a $100.00. 90% of all repair guys in Canada are total hacks. Don't get me wrong, Lehle does make good pedals, but like anything that is made with transistors and capacitors and switches can eventually go south. Getting it repaired is another story, finding someone who is competent. Yes Lehle answered all of my emails, but it took a long time to get those switches. They don't offer a repair service. But I would still highly recommend their pedals. The only thing is that they are pricey. A while back when Gregor Hilden was pushing these Okko Diablo overdrive pedals from Germany, I wound up buying one at a whopping price of $400.00. Got the pedal. No big deal and certainly not worth the price. Just another generic pedal. Same with a TC Electronic Vintage delay, I bought a few years back. Paid $400.00 for this delay, yeah It's an ok pedal, but hardly worth the price That I paid. So yeah we all live and learn at own expense. Two of the best companies that I have found that really gave you a bang for the buck is Catalinbread and the defunct company now was Jack Brossart from Prescription Electronics. This guy really knew his shit. And customer service was second to none. Can't say enough about this guy. He dropped out of sight back in 2003 or so, to never be heard of again. His pedal , the Yardbox as it was called, was a bang on copy of the old British fuzz called the mk2 by Sola Sound in London back in the 1960's. Jimmy Page pedal in Zeppelin. And Catalinbread effects are some of the best well thought out, brilliant effects on the planet. Sheer genius with these guys. Pretty much anything to do with amps and pedals going south in Canada, you're screwed. Only option is to send it to someone in the States. I wouldn't trust anyone here.
cool switch! It reminds me the boss type switching system. Its the same idea, really! Oh... i almost forgot this... I had the ernie ball pedal. The string broke and I had to buy the string replacement kit that ernie ball offers with a brand new string, springs egt. It took not much time to replace it myself (at home, not on stage :D) but I am good at those stuff. ...and I clicked on the video because I watch your channel, didnt know lehle before...
