    I liked that the first entity really didn't make any scary, horrifying noises aside from its own movement.

    I love the detail when the spider reaches the end of the hall, doesn't find its prey, and then turns around to run back up the hall at speed. It suggests that it might be blind, or even that its perception of space itself is much different than ours.

    everyone is really scared for the spider entity, but I find the second one to be more terrifying.
    At first glance it looks to be some spindly creature, but distorts itself with it's movments and the low grumbling hum as it approaches without another sound is honestly pretty terrifying!
    i love how these entities aren't exactly a certain "shape", they're distortions, living glitches, that do god knows what-

      What scares me aswell is the censoring of the entity once its closer to us in the doorframe. Why is it censored? Would we go insane if we saw it in detail? Or is there another reason? We might never know. I tried to pause the video right at the second where it's uncensored for a very short moment, and I feel like I can't sleep well anymore :')

    • @josephcheeseinthebanana
      @josephcheeseinthebanana ปีที่แล้ว +5

      If you slow down the video to 0.25x speed, it _is_ possible to see just what this entity looks like. I think it might've been some sort of shape-shifting entity, which took the molding, decaying form of its previous victim. Or, it might've been the entity that bald man from Frag2's "Insanity" transformed into when he was going mad in his quarters. Either way, this entity has a shadowy form, partly wearing clothes with "skin" exposed here and there. It has a face similar to the first entity in the video, it seems, or perhaps it's some sort of deformed skull. The thing that has morbidly interested me is...has _anyone_ escaped a direct encounter with an enemy in the Frag2 universe? Equally so, what _was_ in the removed footage?

    What I find so terrifying about the concept of the backrooms is that everything is shrouded in such a dense fog of mystery. Especially the entities encountered.
    I know that technically speaking, almost no information would theoretically exist about the entities because there is a such a high risk of death if a wanderer encountered one. But in the context of these "found tapes", even then we don't see them for more than a few frames at a time. The last entity in the video is what I find especially terrifying. The way it stands, and how it "wills" itself along without moving. The viewer is supposed to be protected because they're just viewing a recording. *Supposedly" watching a video posed no threat. But when it breaks through the door and the entity is censored after just one frame? That adds a while new layer of depth for me.
    What is it? What does it want? Why is it censored??
    That means that they're physically and psychologically dangerous. Just gazing on one can cause your mind to break. What do they do to you when they catch you? The mystery is so unnerving.

    Something I think a lot of people make the mistake of in this series is making the monsters/threat too known. What makes a lot of monsters scary or at least within the backrooms is the vagueness and the unknown knowledge about them. I think you did an excellent job of creating monsters that are explained enough to be threats but still not giving away what they are and what they do. With the spider identity, you can tell it's a spider like creature. But you still don't exactly know what it does. The spider creature entering through the top creates this paranoia and questioning over what it can do. along with this is it's very quiet nature when crawling through the ceiling. Can the creature crawl through anywhere and appear anytime? Does this creature already know where i am? is it above me and I don't know it? is it trying to wait till my back is turned? that is what I think makes a good backrooms monster is using the sense of paranoia and the fear of the unknown. To wander around this senseless place and not knowing if you're safe or if something is following you. The same could be said for the last monster. It's hard to see what the creature is from a distance but as soon as it starts chasing you, you can tell its a threat. But based on my assumption, another creature appears at the end that's either A) The creature from before but it teleported to the other side of the door or B) another version/clone/entity of the same kind. It can work both either ways. If its a teleportation situation, it can be similar to the first creature's situation where you don't know where this monster will appear. But this time, when the monster chases you, you don't know if the monster will suddenly teleport in front of you as you're running away from it or if it plays tricks on you and constantly teleports around so that you can't escape. But if its another entity of the same kind or a clone, it brings even more questions of paranoia. a new line of questions appear over how many are there in each level? how many of this entity are there? if there's more, does that mean I'll run into them much more quicker? does that mean I can be overwhelmed much more quicker? by adding more questioning and more situations where the possibility of dying seems to increase every time a new ability or creature is introduced is what creates a scary atmosphere. the uncertainty over whether or not you'll be safer or if the situation will get worse is what keeps a person on their toes. A very excellent video on the backrooms!

    I remember that I had weird dreams (or visions, fantasy) about pool rooms that looked like this in my childhood. The places in my dreams looked similar to these in the video, white tiled cold rooms with deep blue water pools (often very deep and connected with thalassophobia).
    Its very interesting to see that apparently many people can relate to these kind of places.
    Maybe its because as children, we often visit public water parks/swimming pools and they often look so different from the places we normally see, so its something thatgets deeply engrained into our subconscious minds and this is why these pool rooms feel relatable to many people.

    ok i like THIS one a lot and ive only seen 2 videos so far!
    this series is sudden and punchy with the fear yknow, but it doesnt feel cheap like actual jumpscares, and the creatures look like actual corrupted 3d models!
    when not running away from the creatures and just going through the levels, especially the pool one, i even felt relaxed!
    i love this!
    im sure you're sick and tired of kane pixel comparisons, but kane pixel's series makes me feel absolute dread at every second, making just getting through 1 video too hard for me lol--
    this hits just the right spot between comfort and discomfort! weird way to describe the backrooms, but i feel like it fits for this series.
    though i just wanted to point out that a constant feeling of fear is not necessary for each and every horror series, especially not the backrooms! just because one person set the precedent or popular format doesn't mean that it holds for every video. likewise, different feelings of atmosphere and not following the same cast fear-wise gives a lot of uniqueness and personality to each backrooms content creator and series!

    I loved the entity's design, nature, and just feel in general. The way it just gunned after him/her was so well made and also gotta say the detailing is so good it almost looks real

    This is one of my favourite backroom videos, hands down. I loved especially the Poolhouse - so surreal and eerie without needing much. Please keep going, you are incredibly talented!

    the "remaining footage" was of course a scooby doo style chase scene through that very scooby doo looking hallway.

  • @candied_dealer
    @candied_dealer 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    why is no one talking about the hallway entity? that is what scared the most about this whole entire video, don't get me wrong, ceiling spider did get me to jump, but it's just the fact that around a corner, a completely stiff figure just floats towards you, faster than you can run. your literal best option is to do what he did, try to hide behind a door, but even then THAT didn't work. pretty unnerving

    Well this guy just debunked MatPat's theory of hiding in the ceiling tiles, that is creepy no joke.😅
