This is great, been a worship drummer for about 15 years and your playing/Bethel drummers have been a real inspiration to me. God bless you guys, love it all.
Awesome song love his drumming but you can tell on the drums with beginning of song that camera person has never been a drummer we need those tom fills
nah man it's the snare itself with some post processing. 14x8 brass, powerstroke 4 coated, 42 strand wires, dampened and all that. then it's just the tuning, and they probably put some eq and gated reverb.
On Lukes Template he uses Steven Slate Drum Triggers .... So of course he uses Triggers ... Can't believe people think you can just get that snare sound xD
Nathan Nemeth could be one of two things. He could be doing it for beefy tone - more wood contact to the head gives a deep, warm tone; compared to the tip, which would be a more pointed, articulate tone. He also could be doing it because he likes holding his snare stick backwards.
Hey Aaron! A couple things that bethel uses to get their snare sound that you can do to your snare today: remo powerstroke 4 batter head, 42 strand snares, o-ring for the overtones (moongel as well optional) and tuning-super tight reso, finger tight and then quarter turn around better head with the snares somewhat loose. I did it to my snare and it sounds great
It helps create a fat tone with those big hits. Try not to let something that is comfortable to another musician bother you so much. We all have that weird thing we just do :-)
Bud, I just watched a video you posted where you said 10 hours was a long time to be offline from fortnite......I doubt your "mechanics" (whatever you're actually referring to, I can't tell you were so vague about it) are as good as David's. Whatever makes you feel good though :/
Oh my gosh!!!! That snare sounds amazing!!! What a sound
David, quick question.
WHY ARE YOU SUCH A BEAST
haha, so true!! :)
This is great, been a worship drummer for about 15 years and your playing/Bethel drummers have been a real inspiration to me. God bless you guys, love it all.

Thanks for this video. Can you tell me how your snare and kick are tuned?
Actually it's the head that sounds like that it's a Remo powerstroke 4
Wow what a song
Could you do "in over my head" please?
my guess would be it's available on their website if not on youtube
Can anyone help me identify what Snare head he is using? I know its REMO but what type ?
It’s a remo powerstroke 4
@@gabe_lima thanks dude
Crazy Good!
GREAT Thank You

Awesome song love his drumming but you can tell on the drums with beginning of song that camera person has never been a drummer we need those tom fills
Would love to get the exact specs on the cymbals you use, David!
All Istanbul. 24" Joey Waronker ride, 20 and 22 Traditional Dark crashes and 16" 30 anniversary hihats.
Its actually a 24 right crash, 22 left crash
Do you always play with the butt of your left stick? Why? Is it just to get more power on the snare?
That Snare!!
Song starts at 2:51
Can you play resurrection Power
Plzzzz doTutorial on resurrection power
May i ask what snare that is?
Great drummer hillsong 🔝🔝🔝💪🙋
How much compression and reverb do you actually run on that snare?
A lot
liked it
Is he layering snare triggers?? Sounds huge
Not completely sure but I know he uses a huge 8x14 snare with like a 42 strand snare wires.
nah man it's the snare itself with some post processing. 14x8 brass, powerstroke 4 coated, 42 strand wires, dampened and all that. then it's just the tuning, and they probably put some eq and gated reverb.
No triggers or samples at all!
On Lukes Template he uses Steven Slate Drum Triggers .... So of course he uses Triggers ... Can't believe people think you can just get that snare sound xD
What is the left stick upside down?
Nathan Nemeth could be one of two things. He could be doing it for beefy tone - more wood contact to the head gives a deep, warm tone; compared to the tip, which would be a more pointed, articulate tone.
He also could be doing it because he likes holding his snare stick backwards.
Bruhhhhh does anyone know what ride he is using please ?
Tom Pitcher agop 24” dark ride i think 😬
Istanbul Agop 24" Joey Waronker. I use the same. Killer cymbal!
Snare tune tutorial pleaseeeee
Is that ludwig snare??? Please answer me .....
뿡뿡뿡 Truth snare
I'm guessing it's a snare by Truth drums.
✌
PLEASE SOMEONE TELL HOW DOES THE SNARE SOUND LIKE THAT?!?!
Hey Aaron! What mic are you using on you´re tam?
Dat snare doh
is there sheet music for this? I can find lead, piano, vocal, rhythm, but no drums. There is music for drums too you know.
Dude that snare
HOLY CRAP!!! YOUR INASANE!!!!
Thankss! So cuute (^。^)
that snare tho
2:54 4:20
68 bpm or 136?
dmpsodapop 68 in 16th notes
68 in 8/8
Lol why’d ya’ll change the thumb nail?
jason moldovan it’s joe haha
How to get that snare sound? :(
The way you hold your left stick really bothers me
Mike Portnoy from Dream Theater does this. People who do this swear that it gives more power to the snare hit thus creating a bigger sound.
It helps create a fat tone with those big hits.
Try not to let something that is comfortable to another musician bother you so much. We all have that weird thing we just do :-)
fatter snare sound bro
Kyle Thurman what are you doing here boi
Amazing drummer, but that upside down snare head is making me cringe...
This did not help me at all
Cristopher Diaz why?
Great tutorial but your mechanics are sloppy
Bud, I just watched a video you posted where you said 10 hours was a long time to be offline from fortnite......I doubt your "mechanics" (whatever you're actually referring to, I can't tell you were so vague about it) are as good as David's. Whatever makes you feel good though :/
