The seahorse pitcher wanted to go home with me and I was so tempted. Seashells and art glass galore for the perfect souvenirs. Lots of unique finds and plenty of vintage glass. Thank you for showing those violet dishes- I inherited my grandmothers "violet set" because no one in the family wanted them because they discovered none of the pieces were from the same company, but no one knew until after she had passed.

Thank you Lady Mary Beth for the tour, that looked like a fabulous shop to browse around. I just bought a complete set of eight of the Liberty Blue China online and I love it. I will be using it for the 4th of July, each piece is unique, features include Paul Revere riding his horse to warn the British are coming, The Old North Church, the Minute men leaving home, and Independence Hall. I just love this entire set. I watch My take on Home and Garden channel as well, thank you for including that information in your video. I hope you enjoy the rest of your vacation in Florida.
Strangely here in Canada the Liberty Blue could be bought in the OK Economy which was a nation-wide grocery chain. It was for the American Bicentennial. I was part way through university then so my mom started collecting it for me. You could buy dinner plates one week, luncheon plates the next, etc. She bought me four place settings. Some years later a lady whom I babysit for when I was in high school was getting rid of all she had as she wanted “real china.” She sold everything to me for $125 which gave me 12 place settings, numerous serving bowls, platters, teapot, tea cups, coffee mugs, etc., etc. I have used them as my everyday dishes since 1978 and even through kids and grandkids have lost only two cereal bowls to chipping. I love it.
I have a passion for the Liberty Blue set. Growing up one of my friend's Grandmother had a set in her china cabinet. I thought she was so rich to have such fine things in her cabinet. I found out years later that they were promotional pieces from the grocery store. You could buy them for a good price once you collected so many stamps or spent so much money at the grocery store. When I moved overseas I found I could purchase them quite cheap via Ebay from UK sellers. The year prior to Brexit I worked on getting my collection together. I have most of the pieces but am lacking things like coffee pot, tea pot, butter dish...that sort of thing. I'm so grateful to have been able to buy them when I did. I use mine for 4th of July and Memorial day but they are versatile enough to use year round. They are a true staple and I like the idea that it represents an American story rather than just the usual romantic scenes you see in transfer ware. I also collect Fair Winds by Alfred Meaken. These feature brown transfer ware with ships with American flags on them. Very patriotic. I hope you enjoy your Liberty Blue set as much as I love mine.

What a lovely tour-thank you so much for that! As usual, we're reaching for the same things. A friend and l were antiquing, and decided to stop at the Salvation Army. I just figured l'd check out the books and cookbooks. But! Came home with a lusterware set-2 cruets, S & Ps, mustard jar, all lids, and the underplate in perfect condition. The backstamp is very old. Plus salad and mid-eastern cookbooks that evidently, no one ever opened! A good find! Hope you're surviving the heat, and blessings to you and yours! 🌷🌿🌷

That Japanese tea set looks very 1950s. Love that milk glass cake stand. Was expecting to display pear and almond tart for a dinner party tonight. Might not as I left out an insignificant ingredient in error…..OK, it was the almonds. X
Tell guests you are debuting a new pear tart. They don’t have to know you forgot the almonds. If it falls flat, serve in a dessert bowl with a scoop of vanilla. 😉
That milk glass cake stand wouldn’t fit in my carry-on. Need to drive next time. 🚙
@@LadyMaryBeth it was a tragedy in an instant! Input the tart in the oven, turned around to find the almonds and by that time the butter had melted into a hot pool! It’s now going to be baked bananas with a rum sauce! X
I just bought a silvercrest milk glass cake stand withvspanushblace design by Fenton on eBay. I love cake stands and have acquired four since starting my collection in May. It's hard to find videos on vintage cake stands makers, patterns. I

Oh I loved your visit to Florida today! That big shell wreath you showcased is partially finished in my garage, I’ll be finishing it now…lol Also, when I moved to NC, tobacco central, I was in an antique store and saw a round one. I asked how much it was and she said $10.00and I got it for $8.00. Mine is a much tighter weave and she told me it was called a presentation basket & the best of the best leaves would be presented in it to the tobacco buyers for their viewing pleasure.❣️

I love that.
However,I own a citrus juicer from my grandparents wedding gifts,so very art deco,it’s got these subtle lines and art,gosh,it’s a little gem😊
I should mention,they were married in 1936,and the depression was happening,so a simple gift of a citrus juicer was a honored gift,amongst the Italians.😊

Gosh, I just gave a couple of pieces of “poppy trail” to a church thrift shop. I didn’t know it went for such prices. I bought mine at the Salvation Army for a dollar or so each. I don’t sell, merely thrift for things I like. I’m trying to pare down now, however. I wasn’t using those. Hopefully someone else will get them and appreciate them.
