It’s so crazy how prices change depending on where you live. The grey philodendron are called silver sword where I am and go for $$$. Same for some of those calathea varieties. But then I got a sansevieria sayuri the same size she showed for $30 at my local nursery. So crazy!
i was about to comment $5 for a silver sword is CRAZY!!!!
I thought the same exact thing 😭 I love in New York and silver swords can be up to 90 dollars

I'm not a plant person, but it seems so intriguing and it is beautiful with lots of plants in a home, so I would love some videoes, where you show how the plants live in your house and how to care for them 😅 I could use some encouragement to get started. I usually forget about the plants and kill them 🙊
My first plant (when I had 0 plant experience) was a sweet potato vine I grew in water. Its still in water, in an empty kombucha bottle..you just add more water when it starts getting low (from the top). A sunny window.

Today is the first time I watched your videos (four of them) sewing your own wedding dress, your wedding, thrift store shopping and plant shopping. I loved them all. I’m a plant person… 30 in my two bedroom apartment…. My living room, dining area, kitchen, master bedroom and porch. If we all had “lots” of plants we probably wouldn’t have a problem with Global Warming. I have them to clean the air in my apartment. Thank you for your videos! I subscribed! Linda

Oh, I agree about the ferns! They're everywhere in the Lower Mainland and don't do it for me either. But I did come across a button fern last week and bought it because it was so beautiful! Great video, I really enjoy watching your channel 😊

Could you do crop tops and dresses, maybe other stuff from crochet blankets at the thrift store? I’ve seen other people do, but they aren’t as good as your videos. Maybe crochet decor? I am just unsure after you cut a blanket, how do you do edges so it sent unravel? Your ideas are always the best! Love your videos, keep going!

Calathea with the beautiful leaves, the leaves kinda match the fabrics in which you make your outfits from lol it was meant to be. The indoor fern ‘Boston piker’ leaves are also kool.

My first indoor plant that I had started growing last autumn was actually a sweet potato vine! They make great indoor plants. I have 4 of them now. I also have a Majesty Palm (ravenea), arboricola/capella (schefflera arboricola), aloe vera, a plant that looks like grass but grows from these bulbs, a margarita dragon tree, a huge boston fern and this other tropical plant thay has a very thick wooden stem with green leaves that grow in a 5 star pattern. I originally had problems with the capella but now he is doing fine as well! Had a definite learning curve with that one!
Supermarkets and hardware stores here sell plants too. In fact the one little ethnic supermarket here sells HUGE plants for under $20! I really should try to find out the names of these other plants...

"Philodendron Grey" is Philodendron Silver Sword and I am so jealous! $5 for a SS is ridiculously good. I just bought a 3 leaf, hardly rooted one for $45. The ones at that greenhouse are almost, if not twice as big! What an absolute steal.
I enjoyed the plant shopping and haul. I couldn't justify spending $300 on a plant myself, but each to their own. Love the variegated plants also.
Wow, 300 for a plant is a lot) I have about 70 houseplants and I grew most of them from cuttings.

the spathiphyllum is a peace lily, that’s just it’s Latin name. I have a beautiful variegated one (I think it’s a diamond variegata), would reccomend!

I have a plant eating cat so cacti are the only plant I can still keep now because not even he is stupid enough to bite into one.
I grew up having a lot of plants, my moms apartment always looked a bit like a jungle and now it's just a bit sad.
I love ferns! That one is amazing! and the Constellation is gorgeous!! omg.... how is it doing now? I have my eye on one too but I am yet to dare getting one!
You repot the cactuses but tipping out from bottom :)) and then propgatw with gloves too , I’m more of a succulent & cacti girl atm

I would love more plant videos. I'm trying to learn more about what plants would be the easiest for me to start out with indoors bc I have never had any luck but I wasn't hardly ever home to care for them so if anyone could recommend a easy starter plant to have indoors bc I'm home all the time and have the time to learn and care for them. Just a couple suggestions would be great. I love the plants you picked and I love your videos!!!
jade or golden pothos are perfect :) not too picky, can tolerate low light but will grow insanely fast if you put it on a windowsill, only needs to be watered when the leaves start looking wilty instead of firm, cheap and available everywhere, and super easy to propagate and share :)

OMG yes, the tags that come with plants are either 1) unhelpful (sun ... or shade ... or both. No watering instructions.) 2) say "tropical plant" and nothing else, 3) straight up LIES! :*D The best resource I've found is old farmer's almanac, they surprisingly have a lot of indoor plant care tips that seem like actual specific expertise rather than generic crap that contradicts other generic crap online.
Boston Tiger Ferns are gorgeous, but they're so hard to keep alive for me. They get sunburnt sooo easily because of the varigation.

The reason why I subscribed was because we have same stuffs in common about plants lol I also worship thai constellation and basically other vining or trailing plants because non vining plants sometimes just bore me lol. I'm also not a cactii/cactus/succulent type of person and sometimes I also buy plants only for their pretty leaves without knowing how to really take care of them 😭 feels like I'm meeting a new friend hahaha

Feel like i should tell you, I’ve always been a very creative crafter and have wondered if I should start a TH-cam channel and I found your channel like a week ago and after like two vids I got so much FOMO because your vids are so well put together that I started filming and editing my first video. I’m sure it’ll take a while before it’s out but j wanted to say thanks for the push and you obv were meant for this job!
