Such an awesome bike, I have a 1998 one with the retro purple and green. It’s still in the family my kids took it and they’ve been using it for a while the bike never let me down and when my son took it and had over 25,000 miles on it and still ran like a top
Awesome!! It's a great bang for the buck and probably one of the most reliable bikes out there as long as you keep fresh gas in it and start it up at least every other week. Thank you so much for watching! I really appreciate it!!✌️✌️
@@warnermerritt9742 I think Yamaha did a great job on every color. There's really not one I don't like 😅 Thank you so much for watching! I really appreciate it ✌️
That looks like a very well maintained XT225 and it has some great farkles. If the price was anywhere as sweet as the accessories, you might be charged with theft. :-) I'd always ridden small displacement dual sport thumpers. I now have a G310GS and I'm loving it. It's a more road oriented version of a dual sport thumper. I'm glad to no longer have a carburetor or drum brakes. At the next tire change, I'd convert the XT225 rims to tubeless.
@@ADV_Agenda - I wanted a 4WD Japanese mini truck. To register it for road use, federal regulations require an imported vehicle to be 25+ years old and therefore exempt. I bought a 1996 Daihatsu Hijet. I love the little thing, although it has a carburetor and distributor cap. :-o
im the same size and 200lbs, i love mine super fun and so light weight you can lift it and flip it around. speed is not the point I can get it to 75mph with the wind blowing the wright way;) I can sit feet flat on the ground on it. you will never regret buying it it will take you places something bigger cant, great for the country side woods beahes etc, I wonder how much you would pay for one now, let me know if you find one
Currently working on a 225 actually thinking of getting another just to have two lol since they are just so friendly and indestructible. Also building / repairing a couple other bikes ATM. I'm in RB. I right out in Ramona as well.
My friend in high school had one, we beat it to hell on the local trails around temecula, it was a blast to ride.
I had no idea that bike came with a 6-speed. I was really cool
I have two of these bikes nothing better great review
I totally forgot how much fun this bike was,I can't wait till I get another one!!!!
I am really interested in getting one of those bikes , thanks for the review

One of the best value bikes ever made, Japanese quality....love the black wheels
I have the same year bike with 11k miles on it and she is still running like a top, change the oil and check the valves and it will last forever
Such a great entry level unit! I've never sold mine it's just one of those bikes you keep.
Great review!!
Cool bike---I swear I remember riding one of those before--such a sweet bike. New sub!

She's the last of my carbureted bikes. I cannot wait to have all fuel injected bikes. The carburetors are so finicky on the little Yamahas

There are always at least 10 of these on yard sale now all different years and colors
It's a great bike for sure!
Is yard sale a website??
@@ADV_Agenda yes its like Craigslist but on Facebook

I paid 2800 about two years ago.
I sold it last month and bought a CRF 250 Rally
