J Jason - Thank you for your feedback. Cst.al recommends never to caulk the inside of a shower door. Only caulk the outside of the enclosure where the metal or glass meets the wall. Its always best to let the water drain back into the shower rather than letting moisture to become trapped. Once that happens the caulk will mildew, and water will be forced up and into the installation screw holes caulking big problems down the road... especially on 2nd stories

Well, you don't need to drill the bathtub to secure the threshold, or sill. It is fixed there by the jambs from moving back and forth. Caulking outside, though giving chance to trap water underneath, it does prevent from water dripping to outside, since some water getting through joints or screw holes. I guess you can caulking both inside and outside and joints.
@ 25 mark 🤔If your are watching this video to learn how to install or looking for tips . Do not use the toilet as a stand to cut your metal . If your cutting in the house use a 5 gallon bucket and a drop cloth . Respect the work area.

he forgot to explain how to secure the threshold piece. Also, you should caulk the INSIDE portions.
@dekydoodoo. There isn't a threshold piece needed with this unit.

And he forgot to secure and seal the base. proof? here! 1:53 see how the base is moving and not sealed. Imagine water passes by while you taking shower.
