I figured I would be part of the gamine family because all my life I have been told how cute and doll-like I am. My aunt would call me a porcelain doll. It is a bit annoying to have more of a baby-face sometimes because I never feel sexy like a theatrical romantic or as balanced as a classic. But there are ways to be happy and accepting of the way you look.
What your type is is just what is naturally present in your structure, you can still channel the essences of these archetypes just in lines that work for your body type.
I'm SG but no pointed/pronounced chin and I don't have these boxy shoulders always spoken of . I think some SGs will be more soft or delicate than others. I agree with the lines spoken of in this video , much better than any other recommendations I have seen/heard
I love your channel! I feel it is quite difficult for us women under 5’6” to find our Kibbe type since we can 10 out of the 13 types, or 7 out of 10, eliminating the pure types for Natural, Classic and Gamine. I am 5’4 and feel I am either SG or SN. I think my essence is more gamine than natural but I feel right smack in the middle of the two sizes. What I mean, is I don’t feel ‘built’ or substantial enough to be SN, but also don’t feel petite enough to be SG. What tips do you recommend to discern between two types? Thank you for your content and feedback!
I feel the same! But I'm stuck between SG and SC. I don't look petite, delicate or short, but many have typed me online to be SG because I look good in SG lines. I just think I look bigger compared to a SG.
I am in the same boat. I've oscillated between soft classic, soft natural, dramatic classic, and theatrical romantic (I have a lot of romantic flesh features, large chest, petite bone structure, but broad shoulders) and now I am wondering if I'm a taller gamine bc I am such a combination. Even in the bone structure part of the test, I'm all classic answers, and when I try to lean toward a less moderate part of the scale for each question, every single letter for the four bone structure questions is different*face palm*. I look fantastic in most outfits, excluding over sized clothing bc I am petite with a large chest and large shoulders, and I don't always look great in tank tops bc of my shoulders. Ugh. Identifying myself has been a nightmare. I don't look like the build of these stocky soft natural women either. I'm longer with broad shoulders, petite bone structure, but when I build muscle, it carries like flesh. Help!!!
It makes me wonder. Kibbe system really isn’t enough helpful sometimes. This is why I tend to rely more on Kitchener. I also want to learn more if Dwyn Larson system. But she too has no books at all. Her system seems good actually
I'm petite. I have flat bust line but curvy hip line and definite waistline. My arms, legs, hands and feet are longish. So I am stuck in between gamine and soft gamine.
I could be a soft gamine however I don’t have a pointy chin, have a smaller chest and don’t really think of myself as having a “doll like” face. However the body characteristics and some of the face ones match me perfectly. What are the types similar to soft gamine?
You don't necessarily need to have a pointy chin or any particular individual feature, it's about having a mix of yin and yang features (but not moderate or middling features all the way through, that'd be a classic). You could have very angular shoulders with an hourglass waist/hipline, or huge round eyes with broad angular cheekbones etc. The most similar type to soft gamine is usually theatrical romantic, but look into all the other types.
I am 5'2" with shoes on. I believe I am soft Gamine. I have size C/D chest. 52 years old. Wear size 14 jeans. Do not LOOK obese. I have a hard time keeping my jeans up on my waist. I was typed Romantic, but I don't feel WOMANLY enough to take on the title Romantic. My coloring is exactly like YOURS!!!! Maybe my dad's ancestors came from Russia or Ukraine before Ireland!!!!🥰
Hello Tammy ;) Yes, you definitely need to feel what type fits the best and by your description it does seem like Soft Gamine ;) Romantic might be still present but not dominant, the main feature would be Gamine.
am 5'2 and 107 lbs, size 7 shoe with wide feet, I'm pretty symmetrical except I only have 1 cheek dimple lol. When I gain weight I get pretty round, I have a short torso. I've been told I have long legs for my height. My eyes are kinda small, half moon shaped. I kind of have an hour glass but not by much. It's the general shape. Am I soft gamine?
thank u for helping me finally understand which type i am - i think ive had a phase of believing that im the soft one of every type at one point or another just because i didnt think gamines couldnt have prominent bones along with a little flesh
i’m only 5 foot 2 and pretty sure i’m a soft gamine, and i am around average weight, about 50kg. however my weight seems to sit at the bottom of my stomach, even though it is relatively flat above my lower stomach. any advice on what clothing would flatter this?
@@FilosoFashion i’m not exactly sure, even though i hold my weight at lower hips and stomach, my legs and arms are very long (in proportion to my height) making them quite skinny, and therefore my torso appearing ‘stubby’. i’m not sure if i’m a pear, is so maybe a petite pair, i’m not what you’d consider curvy
As a gamine, back during quarantine where they won't let minors out-- they would always apprehend and look for my ID even if I am almost 30! I'm wearing a mask, they couldn't tell. But they think my body structure is that of an older teen! My face tends to be a little boyish, but everywhere else I am a little fleshy. I'm trying my best to look less like a boy, but I can't :c
i’m 5’3 with double curves, slightly overweight so i’m more fleshy i guess you would say. While listening i thought i was this type based on the face and body proportions however i have a few problems. I have average sized hands with longer fingers which make my arms more in the long side then the short. I’m rather busty for my height and i haven’t seen a soft gamine on the larger size without being a more full figured perspective (for examples I have to shop plus size for tops, but I shop for medium or large bottoms, my shoulders and hips match up but my bust is too big i think??) I also have almond eyes not rounded eyes, even if they are on the bigger side. so if anyone sees the problem like maybe i’ve picked the wrong type or maybe there are soft gamine like me i haven’t seen yet?
Im 5'1 but i have double curves, small hands n feet... im not boyish at n never doll like... however my shoulder quite broad...am i soft gamine or romantic or soft natural? Confused
I have everything except a medium to large bust. I'm not flat but I'd say small to small-medium. if that is the only difference, could I still be a SG?
She does say charcoal. I saw the word written out in her blog and she uses the exact same words in this video and I have no idea what charcoal lines are. I looked it up and couldn’t find anything. I wonder if it’s something that doesn’t translate well into English.
Can someone approve this for me? I am not too sure if I am a Soft Gamine but I am 5'4 with small-ish hands yet I have an oval face but I have big eyes and medium-sized lips. My pant size is around 6 or 7 which means my waist is small. I don't think I have a long vertical line yet some people think I look taller even though I highly doubt it. Sometimes I do think I am chubby even though I am petite in bone structure and am fleshy on upper arms and thighs. Can someone please clarify this for me?
Absolutely the same for me. I'm about 5'5 or 5'6 and even though I am pretty skinny I sometimes feel kind of chubby, especially on my legs. I did the kibble test several times and the soft gamine is what I resonate with the most. I always love to extenuate my neck and my waist, so the styling tips for the SG make sense to me
@@elenabachner That's interesting. All the Kibbe Test I tried all say I'm either Soft Dramatic or Theatrical Romantic so idk if I'm a Soft Gamine as I feel like im too tall to be one but I feel like Soft Dramatic fits me the best now because of my angular edges on my face and hips along with my shoulders.
