Chopping the garnish moldings to fit roof chop ✂️

- We're putting Nathan to the test today... he's going to chop the interior garnish moldings to fit the roof chop. The tops of the doors are not only 8" shorter but they've been leaned in towards the roof which means the garnish moldings will need to be leaned in as well. While he tackles that task Chad is applying body filler on the doors and quarter panels. Hats off to Nathan for being under the microscope today 🧢

Both Nathan and Doug have come a long way in a short time.
Both I think we're a little camera shy, unsure how to act, but have very quickly realised that all they have to do is be themselves.
The only area Nathan could improve, and I'm really scraping the barrel here to find something, would be to maybe take 20 seconds to explain a bit more what he's doing and why, explain the purpose of why he does what he's doing. Other than that very very minor point, he's brilliant.
Doug has also really opened up, cracking jokes, having a laugh, just being what I imagine is his normal self. The joker in the pack, but a guy who also puts in the graft.
I do feel a bit sorry for him sometimes when he's sort of left out, painting signs, painting the spray booth, cleaning up, fetching/carrying, etc etc, but damn that guy works his ass off, and never complains. He's virtually the perfect guy to have working in the shop. Gets his head down and does the work. He certainly doesn't mind getting his hands dirty.
The whole team makes this channel great.
Long may it continue.
Koodos to Chad and Jolene on allowing Nate to take the lead on the interior passenger's door top molding downsizing and refitting. Nathan did an incredible job and did well to explain his plan to us viewers. When you become the center of attention on camera it's not as easy as you would think.
Nathan is doing a great job on making the windows functional. If you are building a car, and leave off any of the original equipment to make it function as designed, it ceases to be a car. Do all the fab and changes to suit the taste, but retain the necessary components to make it do what it was designed for.
Nathan looks to be an excellent mechanic and fabricator. Go Nathan!
Nathan is a real old-school master craftsman. It is just a day in the shop, not a"test", lol.
Nathan is a humble man with amazing skills . He just goes at the job and gets her done " A" I do really like seeing Fina wandering into the shots , what a great dog. Regards.
Nathan is a true craftsman
Can’t see Nathan failing at anything he sets his mind to
Hate is amazing. He got that piece fabricated in just few minutes Chad you made an excellent choice with Nate
Nathan is a real asset, both in the mechanical and fabrication area. I hope, Jolene and Chad, you are looking after him, if you know what I mean.
And, let's not forget Douglas. He is a big contributer to the team.
Go Hiltz team
Nathan could really start his own TH-cam channel and get a lot of followers doing the same thing Chad is doing, fixing, restoring, buy, sell, etc old cars. He could make a “spin” off of the show for himself and be very successful at it. Doug is an awesome “GO-FOR”, he will do anything you ask him to do and don’t have to go back over his work. You know he got it done and done the best job possible. People like Doug are invaluable to have on your payroll, no matter what the task is, he will do it with a smile on his face and never complain. The whole Bad Chad team being brought together has proven to payoff for Chad and Jolene, smart move. Now you might get some of these projects done and we can finally see the final product. Like the Bugatti, it’s been how many years that car has just sat around not getting touched? Maybe, finally, possibly some of the projects will come to fruition.
Chad should never let Nathan or Doug get away. They make great team addition
they just need to get a bodyperson/painter on the team
Before Chad got Nate and Doug he was working way to hard and it looked like the hard grind was taking a toll on him physically . Now he seems like a different man and is really enjoying the help and is in a great mood. They are great help and even help the channel flow smoothly. Your channel may grow faster with them taking some of the weight off your backs. Good judgment guys greatest channel in my opinion on you tube.
Nathan is also a talented guy. I like having him working on your team.
Nathan is talented, meticulously goes about the tasks what ever it is he's working on. Enjoyed watching!
How awesome was that of Chad and Jolene to give Nate some "Air" time. He is a beast!! Awesome fabricator and mechanic. Awesome job with capturing both Nate and Chad doing their work Jolene. Chad you are a beast too brother!!!!
Awesome work Nathan, Chad is lucky to have you on his team 👍👍👍👍👍
Nathan knows his shit, He will pass with no problem. I love his honesty. Chad has taught me so much even when I have a different design in mind. I am not a world-famous custom car builder so I remember that and wait for the finished result. I always worry Fina is getting welders flash, please address that at some point.
It’s obvious Nathan has been fabricating a while. He went at that trim with a plan and made a near perfect piece quickly. He’s so good it’s deceptive, multiple profiles, unknown angles and he just laid it in there. Hopefully you can all work together for a long time.
i really admire Nathan ! he is a wizard at any engineering feat he touches ,he's the one go man ! show him what you need an he Will make it happen cheers buddy your work is Awesome !!!
Wish I knew what Nathan knows. !
Glad that you're showing these little things that also need to be done when you do this in-depth work
I like how Chad gave Nathan the recognition for the excellent work he’s doing. The car is really coming together.
I previously referred too this car as the green hornet but now with the upside down bumper revealing the fangs I'm gonna call it "VAMPYRE" would love too see this sprayed in a dark colour Definately with flames 😎 Nate's doing a Great Job 👍 Go for it Team Hiltz 👁 🐅 👌
That is a wi ked name for this build. Got my vote lol
Ya ghost flames lol
Black cherry metallic.👍👍
Mike lavalle real flames! Find a good local airbrush guy
@@johnmaclachlan6818 Hate flames.js
These guys are a great team , together they do great work ! Good shops have those that work together well and think alike ! Everyone needs to stop criticizing ! 💀
Nathan is top man will go far and do a good job
A continental kit on the back would look awesome on this car with chop proportions , give it the lead sled look.
Nathan & Doug are fab guys perfect for the show , no test but simply a walk in the park for Nathan
Chad, Jolene, & Nate are all doing great work! Chad I know that body prep is not your favorite thing to do however, you do a really nice job of it. Nate is doing fantastic work it seems that if the work involves a vehicle he is quite capable no matter what the job is. Chad is fortunate to have Nate between the two of them they can really knock out the work. Jolene what can I say awesome work as always although, I can say congratulations you have reached 287K viewers and climbing! I believe having Nate & Doug is helping you alot the comradery along with being able to complete the vehicles is making a big difference in your viewership in my opinion!
Great job, Nate! You make it look easy. I enjoy your straightforward, systematic approach to your work. Chad's "mud" application is soothing to watch. I wish I had his steady hand. And Jolean, always putting the camera where we want to look too! I can't wait to see this project's finished paint coat. Great job!!
Nathan is a great person to have on your team. In fact, EVERYONE on your team brings a lot to the table. 👍👍
Time after time the 4 members of the team work perfectly together and in their own individual way, as and when required. Chad is the genius with the visions in his head while Nate is the mechanical wizard who makes the solutions appear so simple. Doug is great at following whatever instructions he is given as well as voicing some really good ideas. Jolene is a master with the camera and quite easily interacts with the other team members. The fact that they have come together and work so diligently to create what one can only describe as pure unique pieces as a small but highly motivated workforce is nothing short of incredible. Well done
I really like Nathan. He’s a mechanic body man fabricator he is calm and patient.
That’s funny, Chads testing Nate😂 Nate works circles around Chad with way less effort.
Jolene’s future money tree.
Nathan’s Garage
Next will be Finas❣️ house
Nathan makes short work of the garnish molding. It's Friday.
Nathan can run circles around Chad both in design and workmanship
Must be that he's more patient.....
I totally disagree with your comment. It's like comparing Apples and Oranges. Chad is a Artistic Fabricator and Designer and Nathan strengths are Mechanical and Engineering and Problem Solving.
@jacklietzau9893 get out of here with your noise. Chad is a beast. And so is Nathan. But let's not go crazy and say he can run circles around Chad.
@Aaronlewis8846 why because he's speaking the truth, and you can't handle it.
What's this guy on?🤔✌
No fly's on Nathan
Love how you have the glass working...many comments about you chopped to much and the glass wouldn't work properly. Great job guys proving that with hard work you can do it
Nathan is earning his keep..good job!
Here in the Maritimes, Nova Scotia, and more so Canning... we have some wild talent. Bluenose strong.
This is great showing what Nate is doing with him and Chad together they make a great team! Not taken anything away from Chad it makes a good video and shows the skills of them both. I hope this will continue. They seem to complement each other.
Well done Nathan 👏👏
Nathan is the MAN
You are a lucky man chad to have nade he's an asset to you amazing skills!
Please re-think those headlights
A very multi talented crew. Seems like everyone just gets on what needs to be done. This build is turning out pretty cool. Looking forward to the prime and paint.
Chad - here is my wish list for your 50 Ford, although my wish list may not be to your taste. But if I put it out there, maybe some ideas will stick…..black cherry paint w/metal flake. And per the merc in stallones movie cobra, give the car some moon wheel covers, on bf Goodrich radial t/astires and 2 chrome search lamps by the a pillars…….Car is looking cool, keep up the good work.
It's good to see you guys get along so well and Nathan he's the man he's not just a mechanic he's a all around car building guy
I haven't even watched this episode yet, and I am absolutely sure Nathan breezes through any test of his skill. Now Doug may not pass every test, but he sure has a good personality and is a very likeable and valuable character at the shop.
It's FRIDAY . 🐓in the 🏡.Ready for today's Lesson 👍
Heyyo Guys !!!! "Nathan Superstar !!! Incredible Works !!
Nate has some mad skills there. Great job!
Nathan is very talented . He should have his own show. He is a problem solver and a master fabricator and very good with anything mechanics. It's the thinkers like Nathan that get things done.
Chad barely understands the fabrication techniques Nathan suggests. In addition, Chad is far more sloppy, imprecise and often uses a short cut. I don't like this patronizing attitude
Then don't watch nobody is forcing you.
Why? I appreciate them all, they are great as a team and I have followed Chad for a very long time. I'm just saying that ego is not needed here
He let Nate take the lead on the show today if that's "patronizing" I guess they changed the definition. 😉✌
Super skills on the door mouldings
i dont know much about customizing cars so plz forgive me if this is a dumb question but are you going to use the original steering wheel or use something smaller? im just curious. the original looks to be right in line of your sight out the front windshield.
Nathan has a lot of talent. He's a huge asset to the shop👍💯👊
Hay Nate we love seeing you on the big screen. Keep up the good work! Keep on talking to yourself and don't be scared because your work is good but we like to know what you are thinking and how you see it!
Use a long board for very strait panels😊
Nate is GREAT !
Great job Nathan! Always a pleasure to see all of you work. And recently saw a clip showing Jolene's freehand cinematography! lol, i would have everyone puking from vertigo in less than 20 seconds! I can't even get a non-blurry photo with my phone. dang shakes. Love y'all... HNY btw
it looks like nathan has got it going on. good job nathan.
Nathan is badass. you are lucky to have him, Chad.
In my mind Nathan, Doug and Chad are an excellent team. They all bring complimentary skills to the collective.
I'm excited to see what happens when they get a little more gelled and really start rolling!
As always they wouldn't be anywhere without Jolene. What a Grand collection of characters.
Nate knows what he is doing he’s a good man to have on your team Chad and Jolene 👍👍
Great build! EXCEPT the front headlights r OUT to FAR! My Belly Button!!
Nate is definitely a skilled craftsman.
The Bad chad and Queen Jolene intro is getting old. Very old!!!
My own personal thought would be a bright coloured car. To make it and it's profiles to stand out. Surly it would look longer and not so tall. The colour of the fibre glass looks great on the lower and roof and an off white in the middle. I sure do think it would look super. However I am sure many have their thoughts about this. Not sure about all black! whatever is to be, the car has started to show it shape and style. Looking really great.
Yes. How about Opal white metallic?
test Nathin? From what i have seen he is a very capable builder and i hope he can get great benefit from his work on Chads channel.
Nathan is both a great mechanic and fabricator, good to have both Nathan and Doug on your team
If you use plexiglass put heavy, clear film on both sides. This and new felt almost eliminates fine scratches. I have been doing this for years. It is cheap and very effective.
You did an excellent job on the windows and the moldings Nathan. Your a jack of all trades. Chad and jolene the build is really coming together now it's really taking shape. Keep up the great work all of you 👍 👏
It would be nice to see the bumpers colour coded to match the body of the car instead of relying on old chrome. That way the bumpers (especially the front one) could be trimmed in tighter to the body and any weld marks could be shaved and hidden under the paint.
Nathan very professional
Nice change up cool seeing camera on Nate
Nate is doing hell of a good job
Thank you for the free schooling and your time to show us how to do this stuff. Most appreciated.
Nathan is a talented skilled craftsmen, he has great vision in seeing what needs to be done and how in order to make something work, a privilege to watch :)
I think you've got a great team right here! You guys can do anything you set your mind to 👍
edit - So have you decided on what color you're going to paint this masterpiece?
Great video thank you.
You should know Nathan to get the job done
Fina has her own problem to fix ! Get it Fina !
Great Nate
So glad to see that this car will be finished and ready to drive.
WOW GREAT JOB NATE, CHAD & HIS WIFEY JOLE IT GET BETTER & BETTER LOVE FORD COUPE
I'll give Nathan credit he knows what he's doing
You know, there are literally hundreds of thousands of Nate's out there. That you never knew was there cause they don't shine like others. Ronnie.
Attention to detail is what sets people apart this guy has it not many do nice work buddy
Nathan and Doug are good workers .chad keep your team on your TH-cam channel . good 👍 job 👍
Talking to yourself is a good way to understand it, but also so the viewers know what you are thinking. 😊😊😊😊😊
Nate is Awesome. Great Addition
Nates damn good at fabricating....also i dont know him so cant say for sure but he seems like a stand up fellow
I really enjoy , it when the guys are there working with Chad!!
Hello from Marion, Ohio
Looks good Chad hi Nate Fina and Jolene. Better video with both doing separate jobs and Jolene filming each as needed.
You're doing a great job Nathan.
Nathan is so talented he could probably start his own youtube channel. Bill
Chad, you really should be wearing a mask for that job😢 Joe
Nate is awsome , good mechanic and looks like builder to in most all things. And well Douge is awsome too, he knows More then he lets on , very humble
Nathan well done .4 professionals working together and Fina the boss lady keeping an eye on them all.
