It's very personal to the band as it's aimed towards the haters which say they're not heavy anymore because their previous two albums were more poppy, electronic and industrial sounding. Sam Carter is a talented vocalist and sounds pissed in this song.
@NXT_LVL not exactly. Every band this good ultimately gets a cult following. And out of those there is always gonna be people bitching about everything that doesn't resemble their favorite song/album. I personally like their last two albums alot. They had to find a new direction after Tom passed. Sam is easily one of the best front men out there.
this song is basically Sam saying a massive f"k you to the haters that say they weren't heavy enough is their last album. they basically had a list of stuff to tick off that fits the metal core genre: the blegh, lows, 1-0-0 cord, the ding. this song is genius
@jackieberg5232 I had heard they had gotten death threats. Also there were comments like they were better before one of the band members passed which is particularly hurtful. I don't understand how some people can be such d****.
I always liked variety in metal. I don't mind if a band has a softer phase or goes more heavy. People change and so does their music. Architects are definitely on my list to see live one day.
The Gojira pick scrapes are just on point, and pulling them off so consistently in a riff is just fucking amazing! Also, not Eric fucking drink beer out of a wine decanter lmao
A little Story Time for you guys about Architects/Seeing Red they lost their Main Lead Guitarist and Songwriter Tom Searle (Brother from Dan Searle/The Drummer) in 2016 due to Cancer. Their Albums "Holy Hell" and "All Our Gods have Abandoned Us" are i think still regarded as on of the best Metalcore Albums and i think you guys even reacted to "Doomsday" were the Main Riff was so often ripped off that i cant even count it. So now to Seeing Red the Song is basically a Big FUCK YOU to the "Fans" which criticized them for the last 2 Albums which were a little more Experimental and more Industrial/POP? so ofc People on the Internet hated them for it writing shit on Forums/Comments even a "Fan" jumped up on Stage in Australia and said through the Mic that they were letting Down their Dead Bandmate/Brother Tom. And while i think its good that this Song gets the recognition it deserves it really puts the Line "Are you a junkie punk medicating for free?" in perspective. I know you guys want to react to Stuff that clicks well but i personally gotta tell you check out the last 2 Albums and "Holy Hell" and "All our Gods..." out some of the Songs on there are just crazy good. If im missing something here take this with a grain of Salt i just wrote all that on the top of my head.
No, you're pretty much on point with this. To add on, the guy in Australia who jumped on to the stage also said to play an old song to commemorate Tom as they were playing the oldest song on the set. Sam even pointed this out and how the deluded fan also went to scream at Josh Middleton who is now a former member of the band.
You’re sleeping on the album before “All Our Gods”, the album “Lost Forever//Lost Together” is where that sound/vibe started and is considered a part of a kind of loose trilogy with the other two albums you mentioned. Probably my favorite arc of the band although my personal favorite album is “Dayseeker” from them. I enjoyed their last two albums as well, they helped my partner finally get into the band for the first time
You are right on. I stumbled across architects through Nik Nocturnal so I didn’t hear anything before For Those That Wish To Exist. Animals and Impermanence was my first exposure, but I’ve also really enjoyed their older music too. Love a band with killer screams AND cleans.
I get the fans wanting bands to go back to their original heaviness (i.e. Asking Alexandria), and I get bands wanting to progress musically...but this is a BANGER and kudos to Architects!
Yes!! Thank you! Also, I live for Kyle’s facial expressions when he’s caught off guard with the heavy. For example, when Viking by Slaughter to Prevail takes off 😂
Yesss lads. Architects are sick.. middle finger to the people who said they cant be heavy anymore. Cant wait for the new album . You definitely should do more. Plenty of bangers in the catalogue.
I'm so sad that you guys didn't have the lyrics pulled up for this one. The lyrics make this whole song 1000x times better. Glad to see you react to this though!!
This is AWESOME!!! Is it weird that I pause and rewind also, just to see your reactions again??? I can't be the only one 😂😂 Thanks for introducing me to this one and the great reaction guys!

just in case you didn’t get told earlier haha, i love your work guys amazing reaction as usual. The song is about saying Fuck you to the people that turned their back on the band after their most recent album saying it wasn’t heavy enough. hence the breakdown call-out “Are you happy now?” it’s just such a funny way of saying grow up, we’re gonna change get used to it otherwise, there’s the fucking door 😂.
I love watching your guys reactions to this song. He's definately sticking it to the man in this song. I love his voice and the little bell before , "are you happy now." The string slide throughout song is really amazing to. Great song!
I think this song should be always remembered in music history as the most professional and creative way to say for haters stfu. This is definitely more powerful song if to be in context why it was created at all.. Good job, Architects. Applause 👏🏻
Hey guys, speaking of “Seeing Red”. In 2003 Killing Joke released a song with the same name, well worth a listen. “The Death and Resurrection Show” from that same album is a unique track, nothing else compares to it! Both tracks feature David Grohl on drums! 🤘🏻
Kyle when you gave the first fatality I was like oh man, he's gunna wish he saved that for the breakdown. But of course you gave the double fatality 🖤🖤 Architects are so deserving of that🤘
I would recommend diving into their older stuff since you only reacted to the most recent one. I can't recall if you searched the meaning behind their song Doomsday but Architects have been threw some really deep and tragic shit, so I would recommend taking care of the lyrics like you do with Sleep Token. Different in the subjects for sure ^^, but still really important and worth noticing. Seeing Red for example, is a big "fuck"' to all people who went pretty hard to express how they didn't like the recent change of sound, going from death threats to shitting on Tom Searle's memory. "We only love you when you're seeing red" means that these people only love Architects when they're angry and depressed in their music. "We're like one big family, still thanks so much for the death threats" could be about the Metal, or Architects only, community who pretend to be all about love and respect but once you do something different, you receive some strong shit in the face. Like, do you think you're a good person when you basically wish that someone goes to depression again because if's the only time where he makes good music to your taste ? So yeah, Architects are a band worth the time. Either for the lyrics or for some good music, if not the all in one. Here are some recommandations : These Colours Don't Run, Naysayer, Gravedigger, Broken Cross, C.A.N.C.E.R, Gone With The Wind, Nihilist, A Match Made in Heaven, Memento Mori, Death is not Defeat, Hereafter, Royal Beggars, Holy Hell, Animals, Discourse is Dead, Dead Butterflies, Dying is Absolutely Safe
The whole song is a tongue in cheek F you to the haters for them not being heavy enough anymore. So they brought in all the stereotypical elements that people expect to hear from a cookie cutter metelcore song. They even touched on fans using the death of Tom ( one of their members) to criticize their recent work. Its brilliant.
I may be one of the only ones that like every album by the sound of it. I honestly think architects are an absolute belter of a band and when people hate because of a change of pace kills me, it's their music delivered to those who like it, if you don't then move on.
you know the song is good when Eric is just saying «oh. oh!» for a whole minute :D btw, guys, Samurai Pizza Cats just dropped a new song, it's a cover of «Last Christmas», it'll definitely give you a laugh!
Yeah it's a good song, but y'all need to check out more deathcore. Something like Brand of Sacrifice, Whitechapel, Signs of the Swarm, or Shadow of Intent
Someone else already did a good cover of their story and why this song is such a middle finger to those who not only threw hate their way but actual effing d3ath threats. Architects live are incredible and they are touring in spring in the US! Can't wait to see them in May
I think you guys would like While She Sleeps. From the same town as BMTH and a little less heavy/more melodic than Architects. 100% here for the UK metal hype!
His singing voice reminds me a lot of Sum 41's singer. This is, I think, my first time hearing Architects. Sounds great. Definitely getting added to my list.
you mentioned live architects videos. if there is ONE architects live video worth watching, it's their performance of Gone With the Wind live at Alexandra Palace in 2018. A deeply personal song performed after the loss of Tom Searle to cancer, of whose struggle the song is written about. If you ever wanted to see an emotional performance, that's the one
Kyle, you took the words right out of my head "even after you microwave" I was about to literally say that out loud and then you did. hahaha! But on the video note, again guys, a band I've heard in my MiW station on Pandora but never really paid attention to. Like those bands that you like the song and you've heard it before but you can't name the band or song name, like that kind of band. But this song, especially after reading the comments about this being towards the haters, is something that got my attention enough to want to dive deeper. Just like you guys have done with Bad Omens. I spent all day yesterday while doing deliveries for my job, listening to the Death of Peace of Mind album. AMAZING! Back to these guys- YES to the 2000s angry rock because at first I was thinking to myself that I don't really listen to stuff like this, but then I thought back to Papa Roach, Linkin Park, Disturbed, and others, in the early days, and I was like "wait. nevermind. yes I do." So yes, absolutely agree that's the vibe here. Thank you yet again for expanding my music knowledge. Question for you guys- Are all the blind reacts done by the both of you in the metal/rock genre or have I missed hip hop blind reacts by both of you?
You guys should check out Dance Gavin Dance more. Some songs that I recommend is Death of a Strawberry from Instant Gratification, Son of a Robot from Artificial Selection, Young Robot from Mothership, and Turn Off the Lights I'm Watching Back to the Future Pt.2 from Acceptance Speech 2.0
At this point, I'm here to see from what will Eric drink next :D Great reaction, as always guys! Probably the best notification bell I hit since I got on YT.
You definitely needed the lyrics for this banger of a song! As others have previously said, this song was the Sam and the band giving the middle finger to all the haters! Great reaction guys, I am hoping for more Architects!
I love the difference in how Architects and BMTH did the same thing. In Heavy Metal, BMTH just kept on their same vibe and said "fuck you, we don't care". Architects put every stereotypical element to basically say "Here's your bone, now go sit in the fucking corner and leave us alone". And made a fucking banger in the process!
Been awhile since I've really enjoyed an Architects track like this one. Last couple albums hadn't hit with me (though there were a couple certified bangers in them)
Selbzjustiz by Consvmer is probably the heaviest song I've heard myself, but regardless this is still an awesome song. Love your reactions! Keep up the great work, guys!
You guys should check out some of the new Staind if you guys liked the old staind, Aaron Lewis is back in the band. Cycle of hurting, lowest in me, in this condition, are 3 I haven't seen many people react to those.
It's very personal to the band as it's aimed towards the haters which say they're not heavy anymore because their previous two albums were more poppy, electronic and industrial sounding. Sam Carter is a talented vocalist and sounds pissed in this song.
Yep, those are the fans who want 20 years of Nickelback doing the same album, or the old boomer shouting, ".45 ACP, TWO WORLD WARS!!!"
@@NXT_LVLwho the hell listens to nickleback 😂
I listen to Nickleback xD@@luiswiley372

Im fairly certain that is a dig more directed towards the people giving Them deaththreats for being less heavy.
The chants
I'd say it's both, the death threats are actually lyrics in the song
@jackieberg5232 I had heard they had gotten death threats. Also there were comments like they were better before one of the band members passed which is particularly hurtful. I don't understand how some people can be such d****.
@samcrorie Yeah,Tom Searle, founding member, was the main songwriter up until his passing,he was the twin brother of drummer Dan Searle.
I always liked variety in metal.
I don't mind if a band has a softer phase or goes more heavy.
People change and so does their music.
Architects are definitely on my list to see live one day.
Saw them live about a week ago and it was honestly the best experience of my life. Definitely worth it.
The Gojira pick scrapes are just on point, and pulling them off so consistently in a riff is just fucking amazing!
Also, not Eric fucking drink beer out of a wine decanter lmao
I love that right when the BLEGH hit, Kyle almost instantly slapped the fatality button!

These lyrics are a mix of everything and perfect. The words said sound like what’s going on in the world as we speak since Covid
This song is such a fuck you to the 'fans' who said they were becoming too generic and popular. love this response!

He's definately sticking it to the man in this song. I love his voice and the little bell before , "are you happy now."

Great song!
Hell yeah!!! This is such a killer song. I hate that I can only hit the like button once. Awesome reaction guys
I'm in love with this song, and I LOVE that they are calling out the haters. I'm seeing them in Philly in May and I'm SO EXCITED.
Eric saying “NO, NO, NO” while repeating a part a thousand times is totally fucking me 😂
The hot pocket bit got me dying. That was great 😂
I was soooooo excited that you guys reacted to this!! Such an awesome song!!! And FATALITY X 2 !!!!! YESSSSSSSS 🤘🏼🤘🏼🤘🏼🤘🏼🤘🏼
I will give youuuuu a fatality lmao. 😘😘😘
Guys, it is so much fun watching you react to music that I am addicted to! Keep it on! Sending love from Germany! Have a wonderful Christmas Time! 🖤🎅

Good job, Architects. Applause 👏🏻
Something you guys do right is you never pause for too long and it's very much appreciated.

Just came across this song today on Sirius. Came to TH-cam to see if the sounded same live. They do. Giving me Linkin Park vibes. Nice!
Eric has quite the taste in shirts they always crack me up lol
The variety of cups do too
Kyles grin when he knows there is a breakdown coming makes me happy!
I love how the first 5 seconds of the song turned Kyle french for a moment
That 8D moment almost felt personal. XD (left, right, ka-ching; are you happy now?) I absolutely adore 8D audio, and it's kinda hard to find.
Rykerroad: heaviest song ever!
Meanwhile Slaughter to Prevail and Knocked Loose are like: hold my beer
Got the stank face in the first 5secs of the song. Wowser
Kyle when you gave the first fatality I was like oh man, he's gunna wish he saved that for the breakdown. But of course you gave the double fatality 🖤🖤 Architects are so deserving of that🤘
This is such a killer song! They have been putting out great music the last few years.
2:25 I love you guys for that reaction! I was the same way!! That drum DUN DUN DUN was so fucking sick
Damn! This is so good. Went straight to the playlist!
Man! I’d love you guys to do some the plot in you reactions!! If you haven’t heard don’t look away yet man!!! It’s fucking AWESOME
I would recommend diving into their older stuff since you only reacted to the most recent one. I think the high pitched singing parts are supposed to be the fans as well I think.
I may be one of the only ones that like every album by the sound of it. I honestly think architects are an absolute belter of a band and when people hate because of a change of pace kills me, it's their music delivered to those who like it, if you don't then move on.

btw, guys, Samurai Pizza Cats just dropped a new song, it's a cover of «Last Christmas», it'll definitely give you a laugh!
Eric: i love your shirt 😂🤘🏻🍻
Hell yeah i was waiting for you to react to this song
Never heard of them but like coming to this page to check out new music
Love Architects. Keep doing more 🤟
Cheers y'all....heres to 200k in 2024!!! 🤘🎶💜
big architects W
The more I hear this song, the more I like it. 👏👏👏👏✅
It’s the beer or whatever in the wine thing for me 😂
What I would do to listen to this for the first time again... I think the might be Architects' best song
Yeah it's a good song, but y'all need to check out more deathcore. Something like Brand of Sacrifice, Whitechapel, Signs of the Swarm, or Shadow of Intent
Hell yeah 🤟
Erics drink-ware is totally ridiculous and absurd. I love it! LMAO
Guys, you gotta react to Spiritbox’s Yellowjacket (feat. Sam Carter)!
Once again a great reaction from you guys.
They snapped!

His singing voice reminds me a lot of Sum 41's singer. This is, I think, my first time hearing Architects. Sounds great. Definitely getting added to my list.
Sam is regarded for having one of the best sing-scream voices in the genre (or any genre for that matter) it's such a distinctive tone.

I love that you guys enjoyed it! Coming out with the slammin suggestions on Patreon 😉 😂
And hot pockets should be called bipolar pockets😂
This won the Nik Nocturnal awards for most angry song of 2023 lol Architects got pissed off so they wrote a fuck you song.
Love this band. If you ever react to them again, I’d highly recommend their song Memento Mori. It gives me chills every time I listen to it
Eric's shirt... 😂🤣👌
My own personal song of the year by a mile
More Architects please?
Been awhile since I've really enjoyed an Architects track like this one. Last couple albums hadn't hit with me (though there were a couple certified bangers in them)
Guys react to ready for love music video !!!!
Being that you’re into the sing/scream combo check out Periphery please
Request : you should try two bands, Invent Animate and Currents
whats the worst object i can drink out from. Hip hop dude: Hold my normal glas i got this useless glas thing
It’s called a decanter! Normally used to serve red wine!
Maybe I’m crazy but the melodic vocals sound so similar to Chester Bennington
Why are you drinking out of a wine decanter? Is it somehow linked to the t shirt?
Selbzjustiz by Consvmer is probably the heaviest song I've heard myself, but regardless this is still an awesome song. Love your reactions! Keep up the great work, guys!
uff god!!
this is like architects version of heavy metal by bmth 😭
You guys should check out some of the new Staind if you guys liked the old staind, Aaron Lewis is back in the band. Cycle of hurting, lowest in me, in this condition, are 3 I haven't seen many people react to those.
