I still remember what Kimi said after that Canadian GP: "Everything was going well until some woodeneye crashed into me on pitlane"
That's a calque translation of the Finnish insult for someone who can't see properly. If you look up "puusilmä" on the English wiktionary, Kimi is actually quoted there.
Fkn ham
I hate Kimi he mocked people like that what a frickin rude guy
No wonder kimi is hated, he literally stopped for what? Lmao
@@tilentgamer8758
Kimi ain't in F1 to 'pretend' to be nice to everyone, and that's why he's so popular. It was a pretty silly move from Lewis running into him.
Then he says I'm sorry 'IF' I ruined Kimi's race. What do you mean IF?
So Heyer got a DNQ, DSQ, DNF and technically a DNS in one race? What a legend...
Emil Halonen Exactly correct
Even Maldonado would be proud of him.
raghunathun is probably going to do that if he could get into f1
What does DNS stand for again?
Tristan Blikman Did Not Start
"I apologise to Kimi if I've ruined his race" um well yes Lewis you did.
Well, it's basically like he won the championship. Very soon Ferrari started focusing more on Massa.
I always thought Lewis heading towards Kubica then swerving into Kimi, combined with his lack of contrition was pretty telling.
@@mcrecordings Well he was only heading towards Kubica because he and Kubica were on the normal pitlane line. It's pretty obvious the collision happened because he didn't notice the red light and saw Kubica too late, but I don't believe he swerved left to take out Kimi.
If he stayed straight, he's certain to hit Kubica because he's obviously not going to stop in time.
If he swerved right, he's going right into the wall and the marshals stood there.
If he swerved left, there's more road on that side of Kimi's car.
@@mcrecordings He swerved left as a reflex because there was a gap on the left. There was no gap on the right. Unfortunately he wasn't able to avoid Kimi while trying to place his car in the gap.
Not only has Hamilton had massive problems recognizing other cars around him during the beginning of his career in F1, he also made an asshole statement at 4:08. He was a true asshole back at that time.
Lewis: *crashes into Kimi and ruins his race*
Also Lewis: "I apologise to Kimi IF I ruined his race"
Hey, at least Hamilton had to pay a penalty with a 10 place grid drop the next race.
The same can not be said of Raikkonen, who the FIA gave no penalty, for completely ruining Sutil's race in Monaco.
Those were the days when Max Mosley's FIA agenda to favour Ferrari was clear as day.
The Priti Patel apology.
@@MT-pv2rf did Rosberg got a penalty too?
@@andreaswiesheu2240 yeah
@@MT-pv2rf Yeah because Kimi made a driving error on a rainy Monaco track during race conditions and did not ruin someone's race by trying to exit a pitlane which was closed. There is a reason why Hamilton's crash is on this list. It's probably the most embarrassing thing that's happened in his amazing career.
Kubica in Russia
Reason for DNF: saving parts
That's more sad than weird though, to be fair.
But then he crashed in the FP sessions twice in a row afterwards, so not many parts saved.
@@markhenley3097 Because they were saving them for Russell. Russell crashed out first, then he got Kubicas parts for the next race and Kubica got scrap parts from winter tests, to which Williams showed up with no car. Kubicas car was undriveable in both FP1's because nothing worked.

I think Heyer’s attempt to start a race he wasn’t supposed to be in goes down as the funniest disqualification in F1 history. I’m sorry, but I can’t stop laughing at that moment.

Clark and Hamilton can eat their hearts out, THAT is a grand slam
Just driving out on track without even qualifying is still one of the biggest boss moves in f1 history. Sure, it was illegal, but I feel he deserves more praise for doing that lmao.
I love how the guy at 0:10 doesn’t even look up from his phone, like drivers raging is just an everyday thing 😂
That nonchalant dodge is everything!
He should have shouted at him and told him to have more respect. The driver saw that he was standing there. Emotions ok, but thats unrespecful.
It's Haas so ...
I heard a cool story once about Senna. After craving out of a race he said that the wall had moved. People thought he was just making excuses, but when they checked it turned out that someone had brushed that wall on a prior lap and moved it a few centimeters out of place.
Oh yeah, it was a concrete barrier yeah?
I feel like Buemi's exploding tyres would also count as weird

Maybe Kimi at Europe 2005 get's an honourable mention.
I was hoping for Nigel Mansell's DNF in Canada when he was leading with great advantage and then stalled his car in the last lap, because he was waving for the crowd
The Williams team saved Nigel"s embarrassment by claiming it was an electrical fault, the truth was he hit the kill button.
Too bad only room for one pre 1995 retirement?!
Also, what about Mika Hakkinen's astonishing mis-shift causing his McLaren to spin out in Italy? He also broke down in tears by the side of the track and even though I wasn't a big fan, I still felt sorry for him. But then it reminded me that despite all the technology and money being poured into the sport, it's still the human side of the sport that matters.
I think that goes on a different list anytime soon.
Maybe we can hope for a list of dished out victories xD

@@DrJReefer I won't argue him being done with racing.. he wouldn't have been the first to walk off mid-season but atleast finish the very race you're driving.. THEN walk away.. don't park it mid-race and go ''fuck you guys, i'm out'' .
He was suffering from anxiety and depression at the time. A motor race was quite futile in comparison to his family.
