Thank you for a fascinating program!!
I used to be a baptised member of the WCG in Johannesburg, South Africa until I moved away because of a new job. I was there from 1969 until 1973. I really enjoyed my time there and there was no Church split yet.
I now live in New Zealand and am 75 years old.
I very much miss my old Church friends and sometimes pray for them. I also remember the Spokesmen Club and the wonderful Feast of Tabernacles in the coastal town of George, South Africa. I only have happy memories of the Church.

I watched/listened to the entire interview. Mark is a great guest! I love how you two kept the conversation going which kept my interest high. I stumbled upon RCG in March and have read several of their books and have watched online videos with great interest. However, something just didn't seem right and I'm thankful Dawn took the time to look into this and again, for Mark being brave enough to be as open as he is. Looking forward to Part 2.

My religious knowledge is too long to explain. However, my belief in the True Christ, The begotten One of God The Father began late in my life.
I believe Christ Jesus ran a tight group, and I recall the expectations placed on men and women by God's Holy inspired words through His Prophets.
Before and much after Christ's time, tithing was observed and encouraged. Problems arose in the heart's of men given charge over the tithes + offerings it was called Greed! Christ Jesus caught one in His own group of twelve.
If we are not members of any organized Christian churches where would we choose to place our 10 percent or offerings???? 🤔
Folks please be very careful, we don't live in old testament times, we do tend to repeat history unfortunately.
The booklets are very educational and true to God's Holy words, we can help spread the truth of God's coming kingdom. Save your magazine's and gently used literature from these good folks. A donation is an offering, and helpful because paper and ink are not cheap 😁

I grew up in the world wild church of God. I was 8 years old in 1993 when the apostasy of the church happened,I kept the truths as a could over the years ,I went back to church/RCG with my family back in 2015/2016 and left when pack when off into his crazy preaching about the first Dominion ,my wife was Catholic before I should her truth of the bible ,and she saw something was of with what he was preaching. Now we are attending the living church of God ,things could be better.....but they have the truth of the bible and preach the word of God. As good as United Church of God.

I agree, Daniel . To me, being a member of WWCG in the 80's (Jan 11 85 baptized). Today, i find that the LCG group (humanly speaking, GOD knows '' who are his '' apart from human divisions, and a mutitude of names.) DOES IN FACT do what Mr Herbert Armstrong taught FIRSTLY, '' the kingdom of GOD ''. (the great ''' commision '' as we are TOLD BY JESUS TO DO ) I also find, that UCG is doing basically the same thing, BUT NOT IN SO A DIRECT - IN THIER FACE way.........(probably targets a more timid, less proud audience, such as introverts, various addictions of human beings, CUT OFF from thier maker ) . my constant prayer, is that our FATHER will truly, truly '' gather the hens under his ONE wing ). before HE sends Jesus to save us, (mankind) from ourselves......Psalm 133 '' how good and how pleasant for brethren to dwell in U N I T Y .) ..... a new word......'' unitified '' under one banner/title. Take care, bro !

I grew up in the WWCOG my parents are heavily involved in a splinter. My sister converted to Islam why it’s even harder. They all love they are working hard to get to Heaven. It has caused so much division in our family since I was a child. This year we were band from my parents thanksgiving why my daughter has a piercing and another has pink hair. I tried to join this church twice. Praise the most high i didn't. Although i know alot of their doctrine is true to this day im very grateful for them. But they do behave like a cult. i never look up to people or churches i look for the message not the messenger. The pastor said i couldn't join the church because i wasn't married and living in sin. I said i consider myself married and they shouldn't leave me out because of that. The pastor was about 400 pounds and i said gluttony is a sin as well. And before this he demanded i got to church every Sabbath in canada over 3 hours away and said i didn't have faith because i said that's impractical, even though i had 2 jobs and going to school the Sabbath was my time to rest not to spend it driving.

I have never been a member ir had any interest in becoming one. I am so thankful for this interview as what it has taught me, is that we witness a recurring phenomenon. How a recently established church having been seemingly founded on Biblical teachings, then starts to diverge from those fundamental teachings to some extent. This, I believe is because Satan, in his quest to prevent believers and would-be converts alike, from finding and living those truths, he targets the 'trusted' leadership. He allows the church to thrive, so the members are already in more thrall and awe of that leader than to God himself. He then targets that leader utilising the very same proven successful psychology he has always employed to recruit his own warriors against the Lord in preparation for the final showdown . By exploiting the basest of man's sinful desires, the primary ones being power, wealth and control, his powers of seduction are achieved; he has captured not only the leader but also the majority of the congregation. Satan has averted what was a threat to his mission by the corruption of what started out with Biblical facts and a wish to disseminate these far and wide. Finances that could have profited the preaching and spread of the Gospel is misappropriated by greed. This of course doesn't mean some truths aren't still taught - that is the clever part of the Devil's deception, there is sufficient to attract new less informed/discerning members. The other function it serves is that when many non-believers witness this cult-like state, it will discredit not just that organisation, but the Lord, in particular.
I, in pursuance of the truth, having been very mindful of Satan's seductive techniques, constantly test every proposition against the ultimate authority I am blessed to have at my disposal, the written living Word of God. Any departure from what it instructs sets off alarm bells in both my head and heart. Never underestimate Satan's efforts to groom you, no greater prize for him than to enlist one who used to serve God. Jesus, along with the apostles constantly remind us to be vigilant and on our guard for this very reason. If uncertain about any doctrine, bring it to the Lord for verification. That is how I, by starting to question some of the mainstream Christian 'protestant' orthodoxies, have come to change the basis on which my relationship with God has been to the good. It should always be concerning, that any organisation should forbid such enquiry. If it is robust in its conviction, a church should not feel threatened by any debate, but can be strengthened by demonstrating in referencing the Bible, of their held beliefs. It reaffirms their position or it may find it cannot substantiate their claims, need to make a re-evaluation.
This is how, I myself, discovered that sincerly but erroneously held beliefs

Meaning of this passage is more to preach the word of God to people that have not heard of the Gospel, and not keep preaching it where is already known. We also build our house upon the rock the Rock which is Jesus Christ

The individual who has put his trust in Jesus Christ as his Savior is in personal fellowship with Him all the time. The eternal purpose of God in Jesus Christ is to give us this new relationship with God (John 3:16; 6:37, 39; 2 Corinthians 5:14-21). 1Corinthians 3:16-20 Do you not know that you are God's temple and that God's Spirit dwells in you? If anyone destroys God's temple, God destroy him. For God's temple is holy, and you are that temple.

    Replacement theology is a LIE!
the kingdom gospel was for Israel.
The gospel of salvation (1 Corinthians 15:1-4) is for the Body of Christ, the Church where there are no Jews, or Greeks, slaves, or free...just a new creation. Do not be deceived by false doctrines like the RCoG. There are different time periods, different groups of people.
When Christ returns, He will restore the kingdom of heaven on earth and deal with the house of Israel and with His Church.
