Similar to what you did in this video, I tried to test some ash glazes but with much less success. I don't think my local clay will go to 1280 and I am still learning hot to fire my kiln.? Anyway it's really cool and inspiring to see other people working on the same problems!
Yes, it definitely would. I haven't made anything functional with these glazes yet, but if applied properly and the glaze fits the clay well, I believe it should be dishwasher and food safe.
