How do I know what ip and net ask to use under manual? I’ve changed to a couple different ones and it’s not working it says no internet connection or just keeps loading and loading. Any help is really appreciated
I desperately need some help! I’m trying to connect my M340i to the bm3 WiFi adaptor in order to flash bm3 stage 2 (I’ve already used this adaptor to flash xhp stage 2 successfully) but for some reason it’s giving me the hardest time connecting and activating bm3. It keeps telling me “no internet connection” after selecting the bm3 WiFi option, and when I go in to the bm3 app it’s just failing saying “you must ensure you have internet connection”. I can’t get past this. If I connect it to WiFi instead, then it says I need to connect to the car. So I’m stuck in a loop. Please help!
@@rizkybusiness I am not. I’m supposed to select the bm3 adaptor that comes up in the WiFi options, and then copy the IP that automatically comes up, and manually paste it?
when i change the ip adress and subnet mask to manual and enter them and leave the router blank my phone wont connect back to the bm3 it just keeps loading and loading forever
I have used bootmod on my '14 bmw 3281. Love the results. However, it will not pass the annual inspection in Massachusetts so I have to reflash to stock every year. I am unable to reflash to stage 1. Could not make any connection using cable and lap top. So I purchased the wifi adapter and had the same problem. Several emails with bootmod support didn't help. Not practical to return wifi device due to restocking fee and cost to ship to Canada. So my license and and wifi adapter are for sale.
I’d say if you have supporting mods it should be the same reliability, as mpg it’s all up to your right foot. Maintenance is the spark plugs will wear quicker so be sure to change that more often
@@rizkybusiness I got it to work with an iPhone but also got it to work with the Android tablet I've installed in the car, so I'm just gonna use that! The manual mode on the Samsung doesn't give the option, unfortunately
@@lawabidingcitycat glad you have other devices you can get to work with the bootmod3. Didn’t realise that Samsung don’t give the option to type it in manually.
@@rizkybusiness Oh no it has the option to type manually, just not to enter the Subnet Mask within the manual mode. I suspect Samsung have added a "helpful" security feature to Android which is stopping it from connecting. Just glad I could work around it!
@@vqRob when you buy the BM3 licence it’ll come with one tune. You can add the OTS(off the shelf) package ($99aud) which will allow you to pick different OTS tunes.

Are you entering the IP/subnet mask manually on your wifi settings?

@@Eddy-09 yes bro enter it manually and you will be able to use your internet
@@rizkybusiness I’m going to go try this right now! I’ll report back on what happens

Did you ever figure out the issue mine is doing the same thing

Sorry to hear mate! I have had bootmod3 for the last 2.5 years and the experience has been great with the wifi adapter.
Should you change some of the gasoline after doing the tune?
Depends on the octane of the tune, 98,93 or E30, you definitely want to change your gas accordingly after the tune
Does it affect reliability as well as mpg and maintenance? Costs?

Which phone are you using? I'm using a Samsung and don't have the option to change the Subnet Mask, which I think is the reason I can't connect!
I’m using IPhone, but I’ve seen others use Samsung just fine. Did you change it from automatic to manual on the wifi’s connection?

Nope only if you want to change tune

Which Bluetooth wifi adapter are you using?
I’m using Mode auto concept obd ii wifi adapter, you could get Keys Motorsport one if you’re not in Australia
How did you get the IP address?
Connect it automatically & the IP address should come out also. Take a screen shot of it & enter that up address manually after
I’m going to try that thank u!
