Have to disagree on the Alien Breed rankings. The first game allows you to get stuck, but if you save at the start of every level you should be alright. It's also easier to avoid aliens than the other titles. I found this one plenty reasonable in difficulty, whereas the other two were infuriating. Almost impossible without a teammate. In Tower Assault there is a long timed escape sequence where aliens are unavoidable and infinitely spawning, and you must waste time shooting them or get slapped to death.
I bought that Collection because i thought i can just have some fun shooting around in Alien Breed, but maaan are those Games bad, i mean very bad. The Rest is also some of the worst i have every played on more on par with Hulk, Gods and Batman Forever on the Super Nintendo. Team17 had somehow Luck with Worms, i just can't comprehend how bad all other Games are. Edit: Btw. i think the CPU in Body Blows makes double the Damage as you do aka is cheating.
Hi Mr Apprentice, I recently played in quite a high profile gaming tournament (nearly winning a coveted trophy) one of the games I played was pool and I was excellent although I do remember it had a bad glitch which randomly applied backspin, but I’m not upset about it still 😐
I’d rank this cart similarly but for different reasons. It has good variety and I think Arcade Pool is a standout title of its genre. Much better than Side Pocket on the Data East cart.
Yea it was pretty impressive for a console pool game, I was playing one on the mega drive a couple of months back that was really fiddly, but I just think moving the mouse or flicking a thumb stick to imitate that cue makes such a difference in that sort of game, which obviously the Evercade cant do
I don't get the Evercade. You can get a handheld unit that takes an SD card that you can load with your own selection of games, for all kinds of systems, rather than paying for these cartridges with a handful of games for one system each. But hey, waste your money.
Aside from the fact that one is piracy is one isn't. It's nice to have a curated selection rather than just the games you've played a million times before, plus some people like physical games.
I bought an Evercade VS last Week, i have a Mister, Consoles and a beefy PC but i get myself stuck searching long for something to play or playing the same Games again and again. The Moduls are presenting the Games in a nice Way and also limiting myself to play what is on them. But you have to choose wise, there are some really trashy Collections on the Evercade, hell, i would say the whole Team17 one is trash (i really don't get what people like about Alien Breed, pure Trash). So far, the Duke Nukem Collections, Megacat 1, Renovation and Home Computer Heroes are mostly good.

Pool in a gaming tournament is definitely a sign that it's very, very, high profile

I do like the Home Computer collection but I’d like to see Blaze release an official joy stick and Keyboard to give you that reel old school feel.
I've not been massively impressed with the Evercade VS joypad, I'd probably have more faith in a 3rd party joystick
