Another very interesting & instructive game, thanks. Definitely a challenging moment when the Black bot did not move the knight out of the attack & instead moved the other knight for counter attacking counter play. White though kept calm & did not get rattled by this oversight & got back on track with logical moves to deal with the problem. Again this highlights the importance of understanding these good chess principles in all game positions, I feel. 😀
Wally was playing well. I can beat Li 2000 most games. 38:10 maybe explain why you capture with pawn vs queen. I understand but a 1500 probably missed why.
Thank you! It's not like I ever heard of it. If I understand correctly, it's about spaced repetition. Spaced repetition is a proven way of learning stuff. So it might be helpful for chess as well :)
I would have less time to explain stuff :) If can I beat top 15 in the world in a blitz game (Dominguez) and play a great game with Nakamura, you can assume I would be fine with 1800 bot :) But I do it for the viewers, to explain the decision-making process
It was a nice demonstration of thinking out loud, however it doesn’t explain why 1500 players are stuck where they are. The title is therefore a little misleading. How to beat an 1800 bot in 30 minutes would be closer to the truth.
Thanks for kind words and criticism. The idea was to talk about the common mistakes throughout a chess game. So the game against the bot was an instrument to talk about the mistakes. I did talk a lot about it, didn't I? As for your title suggestion: do you truly believe a lot of people would click on such a video? It's a always a challenge to create an engaging title and not go to just a bad form a clickbait. I always try to avoid the latter but with titles like yours I have 0 chances on TH-cam. I hope you understand my point :)
Very nice format! It is really helpful to see your thinking process along the game.
Thanks a lot :)

What would happen if you played a blitz time control against that 1800 bot? You had a lot of time to think.
