I don't really care about candles. Scented candles usually give me a headache.

The best part of the LOTR game is the co-op though. It’s super fun single screen co-op once you get past the beginning.

LMAO at the split second mention of my "reaction" to the GameCube game comment! Robocop on the OG Xbox (which actually released exclusively on GameCube in Japan, and exclusively on PS2 in Europe...such a weird release method) is indeed quite bad lol. Lord of the Rings: Return of the King is one I need to still cover on the channel, and complete as well, as I only beat The Two Towers. I recall it being a fun one back in the day, so I need to see how it fares when I revisit "Cutscenes: The Game" lmao! Great video man!

In LORT:Return of the King, eventually you can choose to use Pippin and send him under the white mountains, and free the army of the dead from their oath, (instead of Aragorn) so he finally can have his hero moment, so on that basis alone, LOTR: Return of the King is gold!

I had a similar experience with James Bond 007 Agent Under Fire on GameCube after showing it to a friend a few years ago. Love the game still, but couldn't figure out it the controls and don't remember struggling to play it as a 10 y/o.
I still love that game. It’s hilarious to go back to polygonal characters trying to behave in a sultry manner.
I really like garbage or gold, but I feel like you should edit the parameters of the challenge maybe increase the play time to 15 or 20 minutes. Other that that great series!

I love the LOTR games on xbox/ps2/GC. Does suck you can't skip the cutscenes. The game parts to me are really fun though to me.

yo whats up guys! I felt the EXACT same way when i rebought the LOTR games, AND star wars episode 3. When i was 14 and those came out, the dvds hadn't been released and you actually would LOVE to sit there watching some of the scenes. Yeah now that i've seen both movies 100+ times, i can do without these games. Star wars did have a wicked Fighter mode though.

Love this video series concept but FYI you’ve got some pretty serious low end rumble happening in the mix during the table shot. I think it’s from the metal stand not being level on the table. A simple HPF (low cut) would make it perfect. Just in case no one else mentioned it!

Being a young teen when Kingdom Under Fire Heroes 2 and the LotR beatemup games came out, I thought these games were so sick back then. I recently revisited both of these games specifically about a year/two years ago. I even repurchased KoF Heroes 2 on Steam full-price since it never goes on sale apparently... In both games I only put in a few hours before I just kinda... stopped. It's so funny to me that you tried these games because I feel like I reached the exact same thoughts/emotions/conclusions as you two 😅 I still look back on them fondly though, and sometimes even now think about trying them again (theyre like toxic exes that way). I imagine I'd have similar feelings about Baldur's Gate: Dark Alliance 2.
The power of nostalgia for sure - many retro games have aged more like milk than wine.
Just spent a week trying to decide if I want to buy Kingdom Under Fire on Steam without pulling the trigger and this video comes out. I remember that game being really awesome when I was younger and had an XBOX to play on. Just like y'all mentioned very Dynasty Warriors esque. And I played pretty much every Dynasty Warriors that was on PS2 back in the day and loved them. I definitely still want to play Kingdom Under Fire but I think I'll wait on a sale now. Or just be a god like you and go find an XBOX and a physical copy of the game. Thanks for the great video!

My friend used to LOVE playing that LoTR game when we got together for gaming nights... and I know a lot of people still have nostalgia for it... but man I thought it was tedious and it kind of ruined any kind of 3rd person hack & slash game for me. For me it was a tedious button masher, but my friend got super in to the combat so there must be something there.

@@MortsGarage the King Arthur game has so many cool moves you can pull off and I believe it is multiplayer, even though I've only enjoyed it solo. In parts you ride horses and have trample stampede type moves that are Hella fun to use. As well as swinging your sword and shooting arrows. It is quite a tough challenge too.
Two games I recently went back and played that I remembered being good but now realize are TERRIBLE is the orginal hulk and Spiderman movies from the early 2000s holy
