This Bible reading plan in particular is the only one thus far that has given me success in reading the Bible completely in a year. When I found out about this plan last year from Tim Challies, I didn't really see a digital means of keeping track of my progress, so I went analog. I printed out the plan and laminated it, and each time I accomplished something, I crossed it out in Sharpie. I am intrigued by your other uses of Obsidian, so future tutorials on how you use it for other functions would be awesome! My pastor speaks highly of you because he uses Redeeming Productivity Academy himself as he submits his time and work to God. I'm glad that now I can begin to do the same in my life. Thanks so much!

Hi, I really love your videos. Do you still use roam research? Is Obsidian a good replacement for roam research? How can I combine the interconnectivity of Roam Research (you discussed that in one of your videos) with the daily bible reading feature you have in Obsidian? - Can I have both on one platform? I don't mean to bombard you with questions, I am just looking for a sustainable Bible study system that I can use for say 20 years without having to change platforms. I will really appreciate your reply. Thank you.
Hey Toluwase. No problem at all. I’m not using Logseq exclusively. I totally get your concerns about the long-term sustainability of these systems. One nice thing about Logseq (which I liked about Obsidian too) is that it uses local markdown files. So I figure worse case scenario, at least my Bible notetaking system isn’t trapped on someone’s server somewhere (like it was with Roam Research). You can actually use Obsidian and Logseq in conjunction with each other which is pretty cool too. To be honest, I sometimes wonder if I shouldn’t have just invested effort into using something like Logos for my notes, but I still appreciate the flexibility of building my own ecosystem. Hey Terry. I'm using the ESV. I use a pretty convoluted method of getting the text in there. But I've heard there are people who have produced markdown versions of the Bible you can just import into Obsidian. I explain my method in this article: www.redeemingproductivity.com/paste-bible-alfred/ The app I use for the cursor is called Cursor Pro and it's made by a company called Ixeau: www.ixeau.com/ they have a bunch of really cool utilities for the mac.
I've followed your steps in the video but when i create my daily note it says no tasks. Does my note with the bible verses to read have to be titled something specific?

This was great! I have a plan / schedule plugged into my Olive Tree Bible software, but this was helpful for many reasons.

Is it possible to import current odt files into Obsidian? I have years of notes in OpenOffice/LibreOffice that I want to use still.
