STORYLINE:
US President George W Bush arrived aboard the aircraft U-S-S Abraham Lincoln on Thursday, ready to make a speech officially ending the war in Iraq.
After touching down on the carrier on a small Navy jet, Bush met members of the Lincoln's crew, who are heading home from active service in the Persian Gulf.
Later Bush will address the nation about the war in Iraq.
White House officials say Bush will declare major military operations over and the Iraqi people freed.
More than five-thousand sailors and Marines aboard the ship are looking forward to seeing their families again tomorrow, after nearly ten months at sea.

It is hard not to notice the giant 72 on the aircraft carrier. Perfect in a way. It is believed that it is the last year he piloted a plane. Strange, funny, and also maybe just an oversight.
He was an Air Force fighter pilot, but I rather doubt he was flying any traps in Navy birds; but I noticed he was right seat when they zoomed in.

BS. It was never an 'end of war' speech. It was congratulating an Air Craft Carrier's return home after a successful deployment. It was the carrier's mission that was accomplished. I believe it was off San Diego, Ca. Bush, having been a Military Pilot reportedly flew the plain at some point but didn't land it on the carrier because he wasn't qualified to do so. This fact was a great propaganda move but when the banner displayed on the hanger deck displayed the words "MISSION ACCOMPLISHED", that's where the press/dems lie began. It was NEVER and "end of war" speech.
P P we did accomplish somethings. we removed Saddam. we occupied a massive area with multiple sea ports necessary for sustained warfare. we pit Iran on notice. all pissed away by Wolfowitz and neocons trying to redux post WW2 policy. firing the Iraqi army is what started the shitstorm. as for wmd, it went to Syria.
Only thing I agree with Trump on, Iraq War was one of the biggest mistakes USA ever did, Bush, Cheney, Rice should be on trail at the Hague.
