Do They Know It? #138 - DO COLLEGE KIDS KNOW 60s TV SHOWS? (REACT: Do They Know It?) - บันเทิง
"Lets see if the 60s can impress me." Dude, you're wearing a Beatles shirt.
Burn
"So painfully white"
Dude is painfully stupid.
Sophy Kitten Austin should just go home
And he effing said, "Im realizing how white this is now."- No offense to The Beatles, but he shouldn't be wearing that shirt. And also tv is not at its best right now, the 70s-00s shows were the real winners.
Kids today wear shirts that they have little to no idea about what it represents
Didn't need to live in the 60s to know these, Nick at Nite taught me everything I needed to know.
Tre B True
Yup! Grew up with these. I felt bad that I could recognize them by their opening theme songs, tho. Was doing other things besides watching.
Thank you! So did I!
Tre B u damn right
yessss
Fun fact the Jetsons is supposed to take place in 2062 (44 years from now)
Another fun fact here. The first season came out in 1962, but season two and three came out in 1985 and 1987 .
Don't expect flying cars from that timeline to be in this one. Put it this way, If you don't like how DOT (Department of Transportation) is putting regulation on the road when you drive your car, you'll definitely WILL NOT like how FAA (Federal Aviation Administration) regulates the air when you fly in it. Because you'll have to put up with them to do so. Otherwise, they ground you.
We're only 10 years away from the Terminator Universe
44 years until we get to ride in flying cars. I will be 103. Go Granny, Go !!!!
Enough time to perfect fleming cars and robot butlers.
I knew all of them, and I'm 38 years old. Thank you God, for afternoon reruns and Nick at Nite!
Lol, 29 years old and I got them all too for the same reason. That 90s nick at nite education!
37 here and yes! Loved Nick at Nite and TVLand.
Thank God for sick days and snow days because some of these came on during the day, too.
I'm 42 and it was the same for me! Thank you, Nick at Nite, TV Land, and TBS!
"How can you not know the Jetsons?"
Next person: "Oooooh! I think I watched this as a kid!"
Thats the only answer the Muslim girl gave.
@@jrtien yah why is she on this? she literally didnt know any lol
Don't forget that Get Smart was also the inspiration for Inspector Gadget, complete with Don Adams (who played Maxwell Smart) voicing Gadget in the cartoons.
Nick from The Nick And Alan Show I was HOPING someone would bring that up!! Only one of the 80’s GREATEST cartoons!! I’d love a react to that show...including them react to Quimby and the mission messages
Actually don't forget that Get Smart was a Parody of James Bond 1st as they wanted a JB Comedy as Mel Brooks was known for that style so he did Get Smart and as far as Inspector Gadget that was more so a Hybrid of like like 3 maybe 4 Shows of Doctor Who, James Bond. Get Smart, Sherlock Holmes!
Wait, Get Smart was the inspiration for Inspector Gadget? I know Don Adams was the voice actor for Inspector Gadget, but I thought that was where the similarity ended.
@@SchofieldAJ It was more of a satire of the CIA. The actor playing the head of KAOS later on was the doctor on The Love Boat.
@@treetopjones737 Parody & Satire are the same exact thing so whatever take that Helluvator all the way to o burn yo self ;) lolz
My Grandpa loves Barbara Eden so much that he named the poodle that I gave him JEANNIE... the poodle is a HE. 😄😉😂
I was born in '87 and I got all these within a few seconds. Thank you Nick at Nite, lmao!
Yeah! I remember i was like 6 years old and i fought to stay up till 3 am to be able to watch all of these. Also The Addams Family, The Monsters, Alf, etc. Such good times
Exactly! I was born in 90 and I knew every one, except Get Smart, all thanks to Nick at Nite and my parents.
1:05
AUSTIN: “Lets see if the 60’s can impress me”
*(is wearing The Beatles shirt 😂)*
I knew ALL these shows! Even the ones I didn't watch religiously.
we only had 3 major networks, and maybe one or two synicated or uhf
Why the heck isn't the Flinstones in this video? I know that either everyone or almost everyone knows it but it's ICONIC!!
Right on, baby! A GREAT, BIG "thumb's up" for your comment!!!
Mike and Carol Brady were widowers, not divorced. Fyi.
Yeah, how did their previous significant others die? I never saw the back stories for Mike or Carol.
It's weird to think that death was a more acceptable premise than divorce.
I new mike was. I thought Carol was divorced.
the original plot of the show is that they were divorcee but brass went the other wayd
Ericthej it’s still children from a previous marriage
Bewitched is one of my favorite shows ever. And Elizabeth Montgomery was SO beautiful! She was one my first crushes.
Have them watch 70’s Sitcoms. Include “Sanford and Son”, “Three’s Company”, “Mary Tyler Moore”, “All in the Family”, “Maude”, “Good Times”, “The Jeffersons” and “Happy Days”.
Alexander James-Palmer don’t forget, “The Carol Burnett Show”.
60s and 70s shows are top notch. so good!
Maybe M*A*S*H or Bob Newhart? Maybe Partirdge Family?
Please Please Please
OMG YESSSSS PLEASE
Trivia note here: Mel Brooks and his actress wife Anne Bancroft, named their son Maxwell after the Maxwell Smart character in Get Smart. The same Sherwood Schwartz who produced The Brady Bunch also produced Guilligan's Island.
How can one have a Beatles shirt on, and not know anything of 60's culture ?
Music and tv are two different things.
Because he is a douche.
The same way those moronic Jenner/Kardashian kids thought placing their faces on shirts with true icons like Che Guevera made any sense.
Because he can walk into JCPenney or Hot Topic and buy the shirt. I knew a woman now in her 40s with a Beatles shirt but couldn't name one song.
Adnap_Music Regarding Get Smart he missed it by that much.
"Let's see if the 60's can impress me" He said wearing a Beatles shirt...
Troy Wood my thoughts exactly lol
Music and TV are very different?...
he probably doesnt even know who the Beatles are either. Im sure he bought it from some hipster boutique with printed tshirts.
They had a Beatles cartoon on Saturday mornings I used to watch back then.
Katy S ehhh that’s debatable. Generally people who enjoy music from that decade tend to enjoy the same shows since the music airs on said shows
I grew up in the 80s and 90s, and used to love to watch Nick at Nite. These were some of my favorites.
Adam is right. They are better than most of today's fare.
Correct---In those days I was in HS/College/Navy and we could only get a few stations. Now days with cable I can get something like a hundred stations, and what do I watch? Other than local news and documentaries all I watch are old movies and old TV shows.
I watched too much television growin' up. The Gilligan's Island theme still plays in my head regularly.
For the second installment of 60s TV Shows: Lost In Space, Star Trek, Gunsmoke, the Flintstones, Ed Sullivan, 77 Sunset Strip, Mission Impossible, The Munsters, Hogan's Heroes, Beverly Hillbillies, the Andy Griffith Show, Green Acres
i can agree with that, not heard about Green Acres or 77 Sunset Strip before though (i'm not american, so that might have something to do about it), But i would add Batman and Twilight Zone to that list
Don't forget The Flintstones.
I'm 26 and know all of them
maDmAN1983 the Twilight Zone debuted in 1959.
Also Hawaii Five-O, The Addams Family and Mannix. I think Scooby-Doo and Sesame Street started in '69.
"Let's see if the 60s can impress me."
... Says a kid in a Beatles shirt
Need to do a "Do they know old Cartoons", but no Disney or WB, do only Hanna Barbera and the "others" sub-studios.
Mashups Yesss
Thanks to Nick at Nite i basically grew up on all these in the 80's.
Nameless same here for the 90s!
Thanks to Boomerang, I know a lot of Hanna Barbera cartoons
I was just waiting for The Addams Family to pop in this episode
It’s such a 60’s classic
Also the Munsters.
90s Nick at Night prepared me for this video.
Robert Buck right
Robert Buck I'm an 80's child and didn't have cable and saw most of these shows. My parents introduced me to the jetsons and Flintstones. One of the channels that we did get had the Brady bunch.
This has to be one of my favorite videos React has done....nostalgia at its finest
Growing up in the 80's and early 90's I got to watch all these shows on Nick at Nite
This was basically my childhood even though it was way before my time
Alf! Lol love it!!
Hi Alf
Yes indeed. Mine too lol
Joanne put Same I'm only 13
mine too
I love how the Jetsons not only had flying cars but also it was basically a glass bowl, whereas in the actual 21st century we all have tinted windows and are basically like “don’t look at meeee”
Chelsea destroyed this.
Juan Pablo Hernández Yyyyeeesss!! When she knew Get Smart and showed loved for Mel Brooks she won
I'm always SO impressed watching these kids get so many of these questions correct from stuff in or before my generation. It renews my faith in the intelligence of humanity.
Gilligans' Island theme song is very iconic IMO. A lot of these shows I remember watching on Cartoon Network or Nick At Night
Finally, a "Do They Know It" where I got all the answers! I can thank my lovely Mother for having introduced me and my siblings to all of these shows. And they were shows that we could get as much out of as our parents. Amazing.
I’m so happy Chelsea, Adam, and Eric, knew so many!
Especially Chelsea. Chelsea got every one right.
The only reason my generation from the 90s know these shows is cause of nick at nite. They showed all the oldie shows.
And MeTV.
Nah i never had cable but they had these on reruns on broadcast tv too
yo you are not lying man my mom would always leave the tv on at night and it was always brady bunch etc although i did love gillagins island
Loved Chelsea's little Dream of Jeannie groove. So cute
Great Episode. As a kid who grew up in the 70s and 80s, these were all my afternoon shows on UHF TV stations. My childhood, right here. Along with The Munsters, Hogan's Heroes, McHale's Navy, Gomer Pyle, The Addams Family, Green Acres, Gidget, The Monkees, Beverly Hillbillies, Leave it to Beaver, and My Favorite Martian.
I thank Nick at Night for knowing most of these.
Magitek__Knight ayyyeee me to😂🤓
Nick@night was the bee's knees
I watched all of these TV shows growing up, I was born in 1974. why wasn't The Addams Family, The Munsters, Mr. Ed, The Flintstones or Yogi Bear not on this list?
Hopefully they'll do another episode from the 60s and include those.
It’d be to easy
@@dennis2966 and include The Beatles cartoon too. That show was around 1965-1967 for three seasons.
This entire episode was a flashback to my childhood (I'm 51). All these shows were in syndication when I was in elementary school and would be on after school, after the last soap opera and before the evening news. We lived in the country and there was no cable TV or internet, so I got exposed to classic TV because there was nothing else to watch. Good times!
Dani S: Same here. I remember watching all of those.
Although I enjoy the internet and the additional choices it provides ('cause I still live in the country!), one benefit of life before the internet is that I was exposed to a lot of random stuff because I watched or read whatever I could get my hands on. There were weekends where I read the Reader's Digest Handyman Guide and learned about plumbing out of boredom :-). It is too easy for my kids to give up on a TV show or book because they know they can easily find something else that is in their genre.
Thank you Nick @ Nite and TV Land for my vast knowledge of old TV shows. I'd love a 70s edition! The Jeffersons, All in the Family, Good Times, Happy Days, Sanford and Son, Three's Company, Little House on the Prairie... so much goodness in these old shows!
This is my childhood right here. I wasn’t around for the first run but grew up watching all these shows on reruns. Kids today need to watch these classic shows instead of some of the crap today lol
Yeah, that will bond them with their older generations, and the parents should switch generations with them for a few days to see what it's like to be in one another's shoes.
"I'm old and grumpy"
"Let's see if the 60s can impress me.." *You're wearing a Beatles shirt...*
Xanos Knightshade 🤣🤣
Music & TV are different things?
Kids today don't know what they're wearing. I was surprised to see a girl I knew that was very much into hip hop, wearing an Iron Maiden shirt. I asked her about it, and she said she didn't even know what an Iron Maiden was, but she liked the shirt.
He said 60's tv........
Respect on Eric,Chelsea,Sabrina and Adam on knowing these shows... also some of these shows do bring a lot of memories....
Fun Fact: I like how he said Sabrina for I dream of Jeanie because Barbara Eden (Jeanie) played her grandmother on the live action version of Sabrina the Teenage Witch.
Im from the Philippines and most of this shows was aired during the 90's. Didn't even know that The Jetsons was that old.
That's because CN and Nick started airing the 60s cartoons during the 90s
I don't remember the non-cartoons being shown here in the Philippines tho
have Kids react to shows like "I Love Lucy," "The Munsters," and Batman
There are so many iconic shows from the 60s. You should do more of 60s tv shows with teens, adults, etc
I see you Adam wearing that 5sos merch😍
It’s weird because I watch all of these and they are so underrated
ADAMS 5 SECONDS OF SUMMER SHIRT I STAN
Adam is wearing 5sos merch 👌 I knew I liked him for a reason
When the guy in the Beatles t shirt said "let's see if the 60s can impress me" 😑
I'm 20, and I knew every. Single. One. I grew up watching these instead of Disney or Nickelodeon!
Next time, you HAVE to include Rocky and Bullwinkle! It's the greatest show of all time!
More like this please! How about more classic 60's TV like Bonanza, The Addams Family, Hogan's Heroes, Hawaii Five-O, Star Trek, The Flintstone, Perry Mason and The Munsters
Cathy Van Buskirk yes! I would love to see their reaction to Hogan's heroes, The Munsters and the Addams family.
New Hawaii five 0 is surprisingly better than the original, and was on longer.
@@heritagesupport9393 The new series was on for 10 seasons. The old show was on 12 seasons. Don't know if the new one was better.
And Dark Shadows.
Petticoat Junction - women only run hotel at a train stop, what could THAT be about? 😉
The Brady Bunch was more of a 70's show, only the first 13 episodes aired in 1969.
I thought it looked like a 70's show.

Hi
REACT
React to the Halloween 2018 trailer!!
you could've showed Doctor Who and see their reaction to it being that old
I don't think it was shown in America until fairly recently :(
Doctor Who and I are exactly the same age.
"lets see if the 60s can impress me" you are literally wearing a The Beatles shirt
Anti-Boredom too much irony in one clip lol
TV and music are different, dufus.
Got all of them, and I'm not American ... but I was born in the 80's and these shows were all on repeat in the 80's.
I’m sorry WHAT?! Did that dude just say, “Is this BATMAN”?!?!
I don’t remember when little house on the prairie was made, but I love that show so much
JasonJMist oh okay thank for the info
ADAM HAS A 5SOS SHIRT I STAN SKNSKSN
melissa I CAME TO LOOK FOR THIS COMMENT LOL
Adam is confused and not too bright.
The JEtsons DID get something right .. sitting in an office all day pressing buttons .. just ,today, they are buttons on a keyboard :)
The Jetsons got a couple of things right like video calling, and flat screen TV. We're still working on the flying car and intelligent robots but be assured; the robots are coming.
Recognized them all, my dad always made us watch shows from his childhood. Good episode.
I was born in 1996 and I knew every single one of these shows because we didn't have cable growing up so I used to watch all these on Channel 4 or 5 early in the morning. Bewitched was the best and I visited the statue in Salem Massachusetts!
Nick at Night during the 90's use to play all of these old shows, they are great! REACT you forgot Mr. Ed and Green Acres
Chelsea just murdering it! She really knows her stuff.
That's what I said. You know, this is I think the first time on Do They Know It where Chelsea got every single one right.
That 5SOS shirt tho😂🙌🏼🙌🏼
That 5sos shirt tho ADAM I SEE YOU
"I know it's hard to watch it now, with the comedy *we* have..."
We have comedy?
MY FAVORITE BOY ADAM WEARING MY FAVORITE BOYS MERCH 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻✊🏼
Finally, a "do you know" that I got all of them.
I'm super impressed with how many shows these kids know. I love watching 60s shows and I have seen all of these except for Get Smart, but now that I know Mel Brooks is a part of it I'm going to have to go watch that immediately. He's amazing with what he does in film.
Kathy Oppenheimer Same here! I love Mel Brooks.
More of these, please! F Troop, Star Trek, Munsters, Addams Family, Mod Squad, Twilight Zone, Batman, Superman, Flintstones,Hazel, Leave it to Beaver, Dennis the Menace, Donna Reed, Father Knows Best.
Leave It To Beaver was definitely one of my top favorites. Jerry Matthers was such an adorable kid.
I can't believe I forgot twilight zone in my list. But also, night gallery and Alfred Hitchcock presents!
I used to love reruns of F Troop, back in the 80s & 90s. Used to have me dying. 🤣 Also, the Monkees was a fun show, too!
I absolutely loved this episode!!!! I knew all these these tv shows, and I’m a millennial (I’m 18). I grew up with these because my parents introduced them to me at a young age.
What about SCOOBY DOO WHERE ARE YOU?? THAT ONE came out in 1969.
it's a little too obvious everyone knows scooby doo
Spikey Mikey Yeah. There were MORE *SEASON 1* episodes than *SEASON 2* episodes.
Too easy tho
69 likes😼
23 and knew them all within the first second. But I have most of them on DVD so slight advantage:)
These were on constantly as reruns in the 80s.
Same with the 90s
MY DUDE ADAM REPPING THAT 5SOS MERCH YOU GO BOY
sophia haha I was about to comment that 😂
For the next *Do They Know 60's TV shows,* you need to use:
*Batman, The Monkees, The Beverly Hillbillies, The Munsters, The Flintstones,*
and of course *Star Trek.*
Good choices. I would add Mission Impossible
All of those shows hold up really well honestly.
Barbara Eden was a goddess lol. Such classic beauties in the 60s
My fav was when Barbara Eden was on Andy Griffith Show. She was such a bombshell that they treated her as if she were a visitor from another planet.😂
please do this again but include the munsters and the addams family
More of these please! Also do 70's TV shows.
adam rocking that 5sos tee hell yeah 😍🤟🏼
I suddenly know which 3 kids on this show I have the most in common with.
Well the Jetsons are set in 2062, so I better have my own flying car or personal spaceship in 44 years!
SuicideBunny6 oh dear. I will be 71 in 2062.
"Let's see if the 60's can impress me"
*wears a beatles shirt*
kids ..
Music & TV are different....?
Thank you to my mom for having me sit through all these shows as a child to allow get all of these right.
They need to go back to airing some of the 60's and 70's shows instead of what's on now, they're a million times better!
They air them on tv land
they do
Plus we need another Ep of 60's shows!
I'm so glad my parents brought me up on quality shows. I knew every single one, and still watch most of them quite regularly :D
I was born in 1968 and grew up watching all of these shows. i feel very old now. LOL
Tracey Rodell same here
You should feel old, Tracey you're in your fifties. Your grave has already been dug.
Do a : "Do they know 60s music?" With teens or college kids
Bewitched was also turned into a movie staring Will Farrell and Nicole Kidman
Wisdom Ntshalintshali I think we’re all just trying to forget about that. 😂
We like to forget about it just like the spin-off Tabatha
I LOVE Bewtiched and I Dream of Jeannie! Bewitched is a show I watched as a kid and it's probably one of my all-time favorite shows, even if part of that is for nostalgic reasons!
I SAW HIM BUY IT WE WENT TO THE SAME 5SOS CONCERT AND SEEING WEAR IT MAKES ME SO HAPPY
I knew all of these because of my parents. Thanks mom and dad! These old tv shows are so great
