    Thank you! When she threw her neighbor under the bus for being illegal, I was like, not only a murderer but a snitch as well...and not just a snitch, but telling on someone who has ZERO direct contact with you or your situation just to save your own neck 🐍

      Sarah is totally vindictive. We do not know if the ppl are really illegal or not and taking Sarah's word can prove to be dangerous for any one involved. To think she would throw someone under the bus just to get back at someone tells a lot about Sarah's character.

    I was abused years ago.....Sarah was NOT SCARED OF JORGES ...He was scared of her....Let me tell you I would NEVER have ignored my Ex's demand to be let out of the suitcase UNLESS I planned on running away forever to a different Continent because his WRATH of being left in there would have scared the bejeezus out of me for when he got out.....if I thought he could get out on his own after begging to be let out I would not go upstairs to bed just so he could eventually follow me up there and beat the living day out of me.....Not sure if I am explaining myself properly.....If Sarah was so scared because he "comes at her," she never would have made him suffer for "5 minutes".....anyway new Sub from Canada

      I think they likely did abuse each other. I don’t think either were truly afraid of the other on a good day.
      My guess is that they did play hide and seek and he got in the suitcase…and she figured out he was in there and thought it would be funny to zip him up. Then she enjoyed having power over him without retaliation. I think usually they fought and if she hit him he probably pushed back somehow and sometimes hit her. She probably always felt as if she lost those fight…but this time she could win because she took away all his power. She could kick the case and push it around and there was nothing he could do.
      Many time women that physically abuse men have an attitude that because they are smaller they CAN’T hurt their men. They almost seem to view the men as invincible. I’ll bet
      She did assume that he would get out of that bag. But it wasn’t reasonable to assume. I would really have to puzzle through whether that would mean not second degree in my mind…

    • @sallycinnamon5370
      @sallycinnamon5370 2 ปีที่แล้ว +20

      But I think you are 100% right that either she didn’t fear him or she didn’t think that he could get out. There is no way someone that was being abused and was fearful would have antagonized their abuser then stuck around for the consequences if she thought he’d get out in a few minutes

That particular day to me would have been the worse day of my life and we know it was the worse day of Jorge's life bc he was begging for his life bc he knew he was going to die. She's been in a relationship with a woman named Cristina Peña who was incarcerated with her. Jail guard reports wrote that she'd gotten into trouble by being caught with her in the toilet stall. That is a single person area, per the rules. Cristina Peña was released from jail, and she was at Sarah's trial. She has kept up with putting money on her books, and Sarah constantly videos/zooms from jail. Tanika's Two Cents channel goes over all the official jailers' reports that they've written against Sarah K Boon, aka Sarah K Paulsen (maiden name). Plus, all the dissolution of marriage material is gone over by Tanika, as well. There are MANY, many more letters Sarah has written to Brian's attorney and poor Judge Deen.

I also think she did push the suitcase down the stairs with Jorge’ inside. They hurt each other , routinely , allegedly. Every day had the potential for one of them to die at the hands of the other.

      I agree. I think she zipped him up, because that is her way of punishing people (allegedly, she did it to her own son too, before). Doesn't prove 'intent to kill' at all, IMHO. These 2 had a rather mutually abusive relationship, it seems, with him choking her, and her zipping him inside a suitcase (occassionally?). Definitely an unhealthy, dysfunctional couple. But intentional murder? I'm not seeing it. Intent to keep him locked in the suitcase for a while? Sure; but that is essentially no different from a mom saying to her kid they need to stay in their room, for a while. Yes, the suitcase thing is bizarre, of course, but, in her mind, I think she was merely punishing him.

    Is she really trying to paint it like he just decided to suffocate himself? That he saw the gap, was able to widen it/get out, and intentionally stayed in the suitcase??? That is insanity

    No wonder she is trying to get this thrown out of the prosecutions evidence. She's argumentative, loud, aggressive and has shown no emotion about Jorge whatsoever.

    Zipping up somebody in a suitcase is by definition a hostile act even if they are laughing while doing it. She better hope she doesn't get somebody like me on her jury because I feel no mercy for her. I'd vote for the max of whatever the charges.

    • @gladosadoree

      As a European, I find your American Jury system abhorrent. Y'all have no legally trained mind, and y'all are generally chosen on demonstrable ignorance: reading no newspapers, not watching tv, etc. (ar least not to the point of being aware of what's going on in the world), and proudly flaunting said ignorance as a token of not being influenced. God forbid you actually have someone on the Jury who is knowledgeable, understands Law, and is not the most oblivious hick they could find.
      So, I weep for her, as she will likely get the usual folks on the Jury, dumb af, not understanding basics of Law, needing to be hand-held by the Judge, telling you what to do. And who then still vote from their emotion alone, like you.

    • @vickydavis4748
      @vickydavis4748 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@gladosadoree I think you are confused. You are the one who is operating on emotion because you bought into her lies and obvious attempts to gain sympathy for her "little mistake". It doesn't take a high degree of intelligence to understand that being scrunched up into a suitcase which is very thick material would be a dangerous thing. She obviously is not a stupid person so she doesn't even deserve any latitude for that. What she did was malicious and inhuman.
      If you are a European, then what are you doing using the term y'all? Y'all is hick term and it's surprising that someone as sophisticated and worldly as yourself would use it.
      As far as our jury system is concerned, it may be the least corrupt part of our legal system. In spite of what you think, you will not understand that corruption until you watch the process up close and personal when you watch a friend live through it.

      @@vickydavis4748 Not confused in the least. :) Nor buying into anyone's lies. Just mildly worried about the speed and ease with which people are yelling "Off with her head!", merely because she acted bizarrely. And yes, WE may think zipping someone into a suitcase is dangerous -- and it really is. Still doesn't prove 'intent to kill,' is my point. People use literal asphyxiation in their sexual play too. And that is dangerous as well; and still nowhere near 'intent to kill' either. And that is what you, as a potential juror, should be concerned about.
      As for "y'all", LOL, 'hick' is the exact sentiment I was going for. :) (I even used hick in my comment).
      As for your jury system, yeah, still not liking it. Superficially, it sounds great: get folks on your jury who are not, in any way, shape, or form influenced by outside opinions about the case. But after a few seconds, you realize that, doing it that way, all you're getting is morons; subsidiarily, people so shallow they are utterly oblivious to what's happening in the world around them, even when advertised and talked about all around them, don't read a paper, etc. Do you really want to put the destiny of someone's life into those hands? I don't.
      As far as your jury system being the least corrupt part of your legal system, on that I actually readily agree. At least jurors, in general, make a genuine effort to get it right. In that sense, being judged 'by a jury of your peers,' in terms of assuring a fair trial, has great value, I'll give you that too.

      @@gladosadoree We don't yet know what the prosecutor is going to charge her with. An "intent to kill" is not a requirement for anything except murder in the first degree. I'm not sure about 2nd degree. Manslaughter absolutely doesn't require an intent to kill. It just requires that you did something that caused someone's death needlessly. If you get in your car and drive 100 miles an hour and lose control of it - and somebody dies, you can be charged with manslaughter because you should have known you were putting others in danger.
      I did not see your mention of "hick" in your comment. Did you edit the comment? How did you think "speaking hick" would be persuasive? You have me stumped on that one.

    As her lawyer, can they tell her that her story is unbelievable and her best chance is to strike a plea bargain or do they have to do what she wants?

    • @Hidakaku56
      @Hidakaku56 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      They can tell her that the story is unbelievable but the prosecution doesn’t have to offer a plea deal for her to consider if they think they have a good case.
      If the state thinks they can convict her no problem they aren’t gonna give her a deal for a lesser charge because what’s in it for them? They’ll give you a plea deal if they think you might have a legit defense and they could lose on a tough charge and you go entirely free. They’ll give a plea deal if you have evidence against someone else or if lets say you killed someone and they want to know where the body is to give the family closure, not when they think they have a slam dunk case

      I’ll bet he was dead a lot longer than her timeline. Neighbors said they heard a loud crash, 8-10pm? Rigamortus sets in at around fourteen hours, starts to loosen, a couple hours later, Sarah was asleep till 12:30.
