Every week the situations goes from bad to more bad. Why does the people in power don't think of us citizens but only of themselves and their 'survival'? What a disgrace.
Governments have no legal obligation to do what they said they would do (or not do) when lying to the electorate to secure sufficient votes to win power.
'Democratic' government is a joke and has nothing to do with political representation of the populous and yet the right to vote is the constantly-quoted symbol of this 'you are free' confidence trick. You can vote so you must be free, and you can choose the government so this must be government by the People for the People. But for this to be true there must, first of all, be choice in how a society is run and the direction that it takes.
Yet all that is offered in the 'free democracies' are political party MASKS on the same Archontic face - and this is 'choice' frustrated before a single ballot is cast. Once a MASK or 'political party' is officially elected it can go its own way (as it is always planned to do) with little or often no regard for the election promises through which it attracted its electoral support.
Wishes and desires of the population only have to be considered again when the next election is close and the entire farce is repeated. This has been the case throughout the history of 'democracy' and still so many people can't see how they are being systematically deceived.
They continue to campaign for the MASKS and argue with other MASKS over which MASK should be pinned to the unchanging face this time around. You don't like this MASK after its years in government? No problem. You can now have another MASK and when you eventually reject that MASK, because it is doing the same as the previous MASK, you can choose to go back to the other MASK once again. Democracy is NOT freedom as anyone with even a minimum of awareness, in their program, must surely be able to see.
But those who point this out are condemned as being anti-freedom because freedom is democracy.
Cilliers did not start this fight, he is only in this fight to try and save his people who worked so hard to turn Tshwane around. To be able to complete projects that they started to serve the people of Tshwane.
Agree 100%. We live in Tshwane we know how he worked with his people.
No Neil, it is not just the poor, it is the pensioners who still have white male children who do not work due to various reasons who pensioners still try to help!

Why can't he just come out and say what we all know: Herman Mashaba and ActionSA is to blame for the breakup of an effective coalition in Pretoria? This is not a squabble between self serving parties who are equally guilty of trying to grab power for themselves. This is ActionSA experiencing an identity crisis, and putting the interest of their party above that of the citizans of the city. Every other party in Pretoria was begging ActionSA to sit down and discuss the issues with ActionSA, and they just flat out refused.

Leave the townships. Give them amnesty to admit and rectify. They simply can't afford it, with the ripple effect of fighting for higher salaries. If you hit the municipalities you're going to find billions in theft so lock people up. Go back to ANC and demand the money from their involvement and syndicates at Eskom itself

It was not a mistake. South Africa is currently targeted by the USA because of our ties with Russia and China and this was an obvious push back. The BRICS summet is happening in a few weeks so tensions between SA and USA is increasing. If we do break away from the US Dollar you can bet things are going to get interesting.

Eskom: The degree of non-payment of electricity by a majority of the population, who are on social grants or connected illegaly, cannot be funded any longer by the minority of the population, the middle class.
The over regulation of alternative energy sources, which has also resulted in opportunistic capitlisation in the sector placing it beyond the reach of many, has been short sighted. But, the ramifications of any increase in energy is the impact ti has on inflation especially food security.
Now, the Goverment has been prioritising the export of our produce and minerals. The Government has also tendered various sectors for mining exploration. Where are these profits. how are they accounted for in the fiscus and why is this not being put towards subsidising Eskom? Why is our much spoken about tourism sector not being better utilised to ensure visitors and residents are taxed in their currencies, and contribute special taxes which can subsidise the quality of life of South Africn citizens?
