I read a lot of negative comments about combat sports in terms of their effectiveness in street fighting. Well, I will not engage in such a discussion, as I am not an expert in all these types of violence. But when I watch these combat sports shows, I greatly enjoy the agility of movement and the beautiful interaction between strength, speed, and balance. An amazing mixture of physics, philosophy and wisdom. Isn't this enough to enjoy what we see, or must we engage in street fighting in order to know the value of things?
Please, camera and edition crew... stop it with the top half takes and closeups. We want to see the whole body movement not the face :/ It is a full body expression, not only the arms...

As a non practitioner of this discipline, I found it hard to choose between these two ladies. I just absorbed all the power and grace of their movements. They both are winners in my untrained eyes.

Wushu taolu / forms are way harder, I don't get why katas' following is so much bigger. And Karate's based on Kung Fu. This is coming from a big Karate fan and practitioner. I tried wushu and it's basically gymnastic, you have to train since young age or you have no chance to do even 50% of it. With kata I feel it is possible to do 80-90% of what these athletes can do even if you start at age 30.
Yeah Kung Fu is harder, more dynamic, and more exciting to watch.
The commentators has no idea what they are looking at.

I don't like shito ryu I like shoto kan ryu I had pracriced all My life and now I,m working in many katas of shoto kan and kumite
that's a personal preference

Con i khion ed i Kata si imparano i corretti movimenti da applicare poi nel kumite... c'è uno studio approfondito dietro ogni Kata...una filosofia fatta di ricerca di perfezione come caratteristica Giapponese...bisogna essere più rispettosi e informarsi prima di commentare.

Why is this even a little bit impressive? Try doing it to any amateur boxer and she gets instantly knockad out on a half miss. Beyond uselss "sport" 😂
🤡Joker this is not combat sport it is performance sport...both has difference. A man riding a cycle will look ridiculous in front of high speed bike but both has their own merits. One reduces pollution and consumption of natural resources. One saves effort and reaches your destination faster this saving time.
You are not worth the air you breathe.
Useless sport? Maybe you don't know that karate is'nt a simple 'sport'...Is a Philosophy, a way of Life...karate do...the way of Karate...

It’s useless but you’re watching? This is something that uses discipline and concentration, not brute strength. Judo is not meant to kill.
Boxing is a brute sport where people end up with brain damage and sometimes death.
So, stop being a child and go watch boxing.
