Hanif miah Well I think most of this years nominees are better than many of the recent winners the last few years -Best Picture in particular. 2019 was a great year for movies but yea....may be a predictable night! Hope not!
I am so sad that Adam Driver is completely shut out for all the awards. Marriage Story was one of the best films of the year and Driver gave such a strong performance.
Me too, Adam was perfect and made me cry, he remained me a lot to my dad during the divorce ( my parents divorce was much better than in the movie no worries 😅), he really nailed the emotions of a guy getting divorce, he is one of my favourite preformences of the decades, top 3 for me
Strong performance? How? All I saw was Adam acting like himself...his performance is forgettable I can't even remember his character name lol Banderas did a better performance than him...
Any other year Adam driver would've easily won. But this year there's a legend named Joaquin phoenix in the way, who gave an iconic performance that'll be remembered for decades
You know, I think Best Picture depends about when most Academy members will vote. After Phoenix's talk about racism on BAFTAs, well, I think more people will put Parasite higher.
My personal favorites for each category are: Best Picture: Parasite Best Director: Quentin Tarantino Actor: Joaquin Phoenix Actress: Renee Zellweger Supporting Actor: Brad Pitt Supporting Actress: Laura Dern Adapted Screenplay: Jojo Rabbit Original Screenplay: Parasite Cinematography: The Lighthouse International: Parasite Film Editing: Parasite Sound Editing: 1917 Sound Mixing: 1917 Production Design: OUATIH Original Score: Joker Original Song: Elton John Makeup and Hair: Bombshell Costume Design: OUATIH Visual Effects: Star Wars

Hollywood Adapted Screenplay: Jojo Rabbit Costumes: Little Women Documentary: American Factory Animated Short: Hair Love Cinematography: 1917 Makeup and Hairstyle: Bombshell
Great analysis guys! Thanks for summarizing all the odds stats based on the precursor awards. You helped (or helped talk me into) some of the categories I've been on the fence with!
Excellent content, Oscar experts and brother bros. We are all big Oscars. Love that your predictions are head over heart- only one that seems left field is short film. I think Brotherhood runs away with that one-
Greta Gerwig might have some hope--The Academy did the same with Sophia Coppola. They knew she wasn't going to beat out Peter Jackson for Director, but honored her with the screenplay award.
Matheus Cunha I feel you buddy, it’s not even Martin Scorsese’s fault that the movie had to go to Netflix because no other knuckle headed studio would finance it. I can think of 2 or 3 Oscars The Irishman should take easily, but no even that’ll probably be asking for too much. On the positive side even though The Irishman is my favourite movie of 2019, I wouldn’t mind if 1917 or Parasite won best picture.
Chokwe A bunch of grandpas breaking their hips trying to act like young men is NOT better than a WWI film. Just because Goodfellas and Raging Bull are classics doesn’t make everything Martin does a masterpiece. The Irishman was a long, drawn out, boring story. That’s why it didn’t win shit.
It makes sense to predict 1917 based on what it has won. But in this age of preferential ballot, things are a lot trickier. I would say that Guilds are way more relieable predictors because they have crossover, unlike Globe and CC. And Parasite has the most guild wins. But 1917 is not far behind. I am scared to predict Parasite because it only has SAG ensemble as a major win. But I am also scared to predict a movie that, despite winning the most awards, lacks some very important nominations which are acting and editing. No movie that missed those two has ever won. 1917 is not the kind of film that has won recently. It feels very similar to Revenant and Gravity as this huge spectacle that wins techs and director but not Picture. 1917 is not deemed as an "important movie" which almost every winner of the 2010s has been. Whether you think it was good at it or not, many voters thought Green Book as a very relevant movie. I personally have no idea which one to predict. I am gonna be wrestling with this decision until I am forced to choose. If 1917 wins, it will be a very different kind of winner compared what has won in the last few years. Roll in the counter arguments. Because I want to make this easier for me.
1917 is The most predictable like Green Book , both are amazing movies in my opinion however The academy dont like to take risk and make a Change for once
16 Janeiro 1993 RocketMan green book was not as predictable. Everyone thought Roma would take it and it didn’t. So don’t be surprise if 1917 doesn’t take it
People are sleeping on Joker in a lot of categories. People are just ignoring the fact that it’s the most nominated movie of the whole batch. All I’m saying is don’t be surprised if Todd Phillips is on stage for the big award at the end of the night
Brendan Little it's almost impossible. The fact that it got many nominations means nothing. Predicting that movie to win ANYTHING aside actor and soundtrack is a HUGE BET. Really huge.
You snubbed Parasite on this prediction big time. HAHAHAHAHAHAHA. You havent even got it right for every Parasite win except for Best International Film. LOL
Parasite is winning Screenplay at the very least. Unlike Hollywood, Birdman won PGA, DGA & SAG ensemble. It became the frontrunner. Like Green Book last year, Best Picture winner takes Screenplay along for the ride. Shape of Water is the only one that didn't win, but it clearly had no shot when Get Out, Three Billboards and Lady Bird were right there. Hollywood took a nose dive at the Guilds. Critics Choice does not matter. Parasite had only 4 nominations at the BAFTAs and it still beat 10 time nominated Hollywood. If that's not a sign of strenghth I don't know what is.
Tommaso Fogli you cant just “vote a movie best picture” ...it’s a complicated series of preferential numbering the movies in an order of liking them (and sometimes it’s smarter to make your favorite a #2 vote rather than #1)
I don’t understand why guys don’t form your own opinions about winners. You use other awards to figure out your choices but you completely ignore some and put so much weight on others. Parasite won the Sag award for best ensemble and the contemporary category for production design at the art guild awards. So why don’t you factor in all awards and not just whatever helps your own narrative and arguments to support your choices.
Visual Effects will be 1917 or Irishman. But I’m placing my bets in Irishman... the only award I see Irishman winning. Animated Feature: GIVE IT TO KLAUS!!! Aka, the best animated film since Spiderverse. Documentary Feature: I really want it to be For Sama. Easily my favorite documentary of the year (yes more than Apollo 11)... where as American Factory is just not a huge fan of.
tendrugimichal I’m not sure I understand why Tarantino would be any less likely to take the stage than ANYone in that auditorium. They ALL worked with Harvey at some point and ALL acted for YEARS as though they adored him. Have you seen that epic montage of awards show clips where all these actors (MAINLY women) praise the hell out of him??? Meryl Streep, Renee Zellweger, Jennifer Lawrence- it’s staggering. He worked with them all. It makes Hollywood actors collectively look like morons!
@@JDobbsy79 I know, but not all of them (none of them, to be specific) said they knew very well and for a fact what Harvey was doing, but chose to continue working with him
@@JDobbsy79 but I do agree with the rest - they are all complicit, and I don't believe they knew nothing. I remember Seth Roger saying not only everyone knew, but it was the first thing you get to know about Harvey lol
*The Experts‘ predictions* Best Picture: 1917 Best Director: Sam Mendes Leading Actor: Joaquin Phoenix Leading Actress: Renee Zellweger Supporting Actor: Brad Pitt Supporting Actress: Laura Adern Original Screenplay: Once upon a Time... in Hollywood Adapted Screenplay: Jojo Rabbit Production Design: Once upon a time... in Hollywood/(1917) Film editing: Ford v Ferrari Costume Design: Little Women Visual effects: 1917 /(The Irishman) Original Score: Joker /(1917) Sound mixing/editing: 1917 Original Song: Rocketman Animated feature film: Klaus International Feature Film: Parasite Documentary feature: American factory /(for Sama if it wins Indie Spirits) Animated short film: Hair Love Documentary short film: learning to skateboard Live action short film: The Nighbours Window
I'm sad Sam Mendes did a clean sweep, he's the fourth for me between the 5. Unnecessary gimmick. I think Parasite can only win picture with screenplay, same for Hollywood. But I think that if 1917 gets picture screenplay goes for Parasite, just a feeling but I don't know. I like the Oscars better when we don't have a doubt what's going to win and we're surprised anyway. Parasite has a montage and editing tricks Arrival didn't have. The thing with "more cuts" is that you almost choo the movie but still maintaining sense. Dunkirk had a ever present score that didn't distract from the three narratives that had their own specific sound (that's why it was very strong in both categories), I think editing for Ford v Ferrari and 1917 gets mixing
Picture: Parasite (I'm predicting an upset, but I see Jojo Rabbit or Joker pulling a major surprise, so don't be surprised by those winning) Director: Mendes Actor: Phoenix Actress: Zellweger Supporting Actor: Pitt Supporting Actress: Dern Original Screenplay: Parasit Adapted Screenplay: Jojo Rabbit Cinematography: 1917 Animated: How to Train Your Dragon 3 (more of a want, but I want to be the one to call it if it happens) Foreign: Parasite Film Editing: Joker (It's the Oscars, my main prediction is this category will be the biggest fuckery of the night) Visual Effects: Avengers Endgame (A gut feeling mostly, but I feel they'll cave in and give it the award given it was the "last" one). Sound Editing: 1917 Sound Mixing: 1917 (I can totally see Joker randomly showing up in one of these) Score: Joker Song: I'm Gonna Love me Again Production Design: Hollywood (Parasite is an outside shot) Costume Design: Little Women (Jojo Rabbit can upset) Makeup/Hairstyling: Bombshell (I can see Joker pulling an upset)
In the past decade, screenplay has always been a precursor for BP with the exception of The Artist and Shape of Water. So all I'm saying is that, while I'll play it safe and pick 1917 since exceptions do occur, I'm not totally quashing my heart's desire for a Parasite win.
The Cynic of Cinema Don’t ignore Jojo Rabbit either. That could very easily be in the top 3 in ALOT of people’s ballets which would put it in play to possibly win, especially if it wins the screenplay (which it probably will)
If dunkirk didnt win oscar then 1917 dont deserve any. 1917doesnt even stand close to dunkirk. And if dunkirk was not apprecited by oscars so 1917 should not have even be nominated. I dont understan d this senseless 1917 hype.
@@devonsmith8780 Except from the cinematography and visual effects, what was so great about its story, character development and such? What made it stand out from absolute CLASSIC war movies like "Platoon", "Apocalypse Now" or 'Saving Private Ryan"? Nothing that I can think of, and the acting from the young leads was meh.
One thing to take notice and it could mean nothing but both times tarantino won original screenplay (pulp fiction and Django) he won the bafta as well. Whereas this year he lost to parasite.
We have pretty similar predictions. The only places we disagree are Adapted Screenplay, Animated Short, and Live Action Short. I’m predicting American Factory for Documentary, so we’ll see what you decide after the Spirits.
1917 got the momentum, Parasite is the fan fave. So, Hollywood will be the upset win for BP? I liked Parasite but fans can't deny the build up for 1917. I just lol-ed at some comments on your recent tweets how Parasite fans really want you to change your BP pick whén you're just being objective.
While I hope Klaus or Missing Link wins I still tentatively think Toy Story 4 has it. The Academy is still clearly not big on Netflix, and I think the past Disney pandering is too big to ignore, Big Hero 6 didn't win a single major award in the lead up to the 2015 academy awards, and was probably the bottom of the barrel when it came to those nominations, but it still won the oscar over HTTYD2 and Song of the Sea. I'll believe Klaus can win the oscar when I hear their name called.
Picture: Once Upon A Time in Hollywood Best Director: Bong Joon-Ho Original Screenplay: Hollywood Adapted Screenplay: Jojo Rabbit Visual Effects: 1917 Animated : Klaus Editing: Parasite Sound Editing: 1917 Sound Mixing: Ford
Read an article which provided fair arguments as to why JoJo could 'pull a Moonlight' and win Best Picture and I hope so since JR was my favourite movie of the year, although 1917 will probably (and deservedly win it). I just hope Taika gets rewarded with best Adapted Screenplay at least as he deserves it - his script was awesome. As a whole I hope there are a couple of shocks at the awards as the big ones all seem very predictable.

I do think there is a chance for a couple of upsets... Parasite,I’m thinking may possibly win best screenplay since Quentin already has two Screenplay Oscars. Scarjo may upset at Best Supporting actress simply because she had two great performances last year ....but I suppose that’s not likely. Bong also has a long shot at Best Director.....but that is also unlikely! I still think Best Picture may be OUATIH or Parasite-especially if Mendes wins Best Director. If none of these come in,it will be a boring predictable night!
I still believe 1917 will win Production Design. That film’s entire set started as one large open grass field. Then it was built around blocking of each and every scene. Which includes 1 mile of trenches, the no mans land, that run down ruins with precise holes so specific lighting with shadows locations, and everything else as well was made for that film. Immensely impressive.
I actually agree with brother bro on the sound categories but for different reasons. I'm also predicting 1917 in sound editing and Ford v Ferrari in sound mixing because I feel like one of those is gonna win both and I don't know which one, and I think if they split it, this is most likely outcome. So unless they split it the other way, I at least know I'm getting one right. But I also think that Joker could surprise and win both sound awards and film editing
My Predictions : I agree that the game goes to '1917 vs Parasite'. But 1917 won CCA, PGA, BAFTA Picture, and Parasite, unfortunately, none. Parasite won SAG ensemble, Eddie, WGA, etc. but not 'best picture'. So Oscar will want to present best picture to 1917. However, the concern(not my concern, maybe Oscar's concern) is that Parasite is obviously powerful frontrunner in original screenplay! Screenplay winners has highly been attached to Best Picture. Then how can Oscar present best picture to 1917? The answer is more categories to 1917, and less categories to Parasite. Oscar will give every ambiguous category to 1917, I think. And they will say "Parasite wins International feature and 'original screenplay', but 1917 wins more categories! So we can't help choosing 1917 the best picture, ha ha!" * Best Picture - 1917 (2. Parasite) And here are ambiguous catogories. They will go to 1917, I think. * Production Design - 1917 (2. Once Upon a Time... in Hollywood) * Sound Mixing - 1917 (2. Ford v Ferrari) * Visual Effests - 1917 (2. The Irishman) Editing is the important category, because it can define best picture. But Oscar will present best picture to 1917, so they won't present best editing to Parasite which is the rival of 1917. They will choose unrelated film, Ford v Ferrari. * Film Editing - Ford v Ferrari (2. Parasite) Writing branch is very very important, and I think the winners are already outlined. BAFTA, and conclusively WGA! Tarantino is a powerful candidate, but I suppose he is unlikely to win. If he win original screenplay, Once Upon a Time... in Hollywood will take best picture, because it already has supporting actor. (screenplay + acting = Best Picture.) Oscar wants to present best picture to 1917!!! * Original Screenplay - Parasite (2. Once Upon a Time... in Hollywood) * Adapted Screenplay - Jojo Rabbit I can predict these categories easily. * Directing - Sam Mendes 1917 * Cinematography - 1917 * Makeup and Hairstyling - Bombshell * Original Score - Joker * Original Song - "I'm Gonna Love Me Again" Rocketman * Sound Editing - 1917 * International Feature - Parasite * Actors - Joaquin Phoenix, Renee Zellweger, Brad Pitt, and Laura, done. Costume Design, 'Jojo Rabbit vs Little Women', will go to Little Women. Because Little Women is tough to win any other categories. Fortunately Jojo Rabbit already has adapted screenplay, so Little Women will take leftover. * Costume Design - Little Women Animated Feature becomes a tight match between Toy Story 4 and Klaus. Klaus won 7 awards in Annie awards, and Toy Story 4, none. Toy Story encounters a tough competitor. However Toy Story is famous and it is a box office hit picture in USA. In addition, Oscar loves Pixar. So Toy Story 4 is still the frontrunner in this category. * Animated Feature - Toy Story 4 (2. Klaus) Animated Short and Feature are tied. If Toy Story 4 lose feature category to Klaus, Oscar will present short category to Pixar. However, the frontrunner of short film is Hair Love. * Animated Short - Hair Love (2. Kitbull) And here are the other categories. * Documentary Short - Learning to Skateboard in a Warzone (If You're a Girl) * Documentary Feature - American Factory * Live Action Short - Brotherhood (or Neighbors' Window? I have no idea :) ) So this is my conclusion. 1917 - Directing/Cinematography/Production Design/Sound Editing/Sound Mixing/Visual Effests -> Best Picture! Parasite - Original Screenplay/International Feature Joker - Leading Actor/Original Score Once Upon a Time... in Hollywood - Supporting Actor Marriage Story - Supporting Actress Judy - Leading Actress Jojo Rabbit - Adapted Screenplay Ford v Ferrari - Film Editing Little Women - Costume Design Bombshell - Makeup & Hairstyling Rocketman - Original Song If 1917 lose Production Design, Sound Mixing, Visual Effests and Parasite win Film Editing? Then Parasite can win Best Picture! (original screenplay + editing -> powerful!) I think this scenario is unlikely to happen. ;( I always enjoy your channel. I love you guys' neat and clear explanation! And your reactions, too!!
Everything seems so locked in the major categories. All I can hope for is if not an upset, PURE BOOBERY! People tripping! Jokes not landing! Incorrect pronunciation is Travolta gonna present?! Good job guys for reals
As much as I loved Klaus I feel like How To Train your Dragon: The Hidden World should win this one. They've been nominated 4 times now (including original score) and haven't got a single one since they were snubbed back in 2015 with Big Hero 6 winning it.
I am confused about what they said about film editing. Is it true the film with the most cuts wins Best Film editing? Where did they get that stat from?
@@honggiangvogia It had one badly cut scene (Ottoman admitted to being bad), but it had 120 minutes of good editing. Who should I trust more? Veterans of the Film Industry and people who edit films for a living or two teenagers with a high ego. Tough call.
Perhaps youtube. I know the BAFTA released the whole thing (minus Comercial on TH-cam.) If they don't post the show in full I'm sure the academy might post the clips for the big wins.
About the best editing going to the movie with most editing: last year everyone though Vice was going to win because it was the movie with the most editing, however it didn't happen... don't you think this year that could happen too?
I think everyone is forgetting that 1917 and Parasite have no acting nominations. It is rare for a movie to win best picture without any acting nods. I know 1917 won best picture at globes and Baftas, but I think the academy have different standards when it comes to that. When you’re voting for nominees for best picture, you look at everything including the acting/cast. The fact that parasite got no recognition for the acting makes you wonder. It all goes hand In hand i think anyway.

2019 was a great year for movies but yea....may be a predictable night!
Hope not!
John Rigs it wasn’t!
you were wrong
@@camiibells5009
1. Driver
2. Banderas
3. Phoenix
4. Pryce
5. DiCaprio
Any other year Adam driver would've easily won. But this year there's a legend named Joaquin phoenix in the way, who gave an iconic performance that'll be remembered for decades
“MARRIAGE STORY” WAS SOOOOO BORING AND ADAM DRIVER WAS TOO! HE ACTED LIKE HIMSELF! JOAQUIN PHOENIX WAS AMAZING AS JOKER AND HE DESERVES TO WIN!
You know, I think Best Picture depends about when most Academy members will vote. After Phoenix's talk about racism on BAFTAs, well, I think more people will put Parasite higher.
What do you mean i don't get it... and I don't know about speech Phoenix in BAFTA
I do believe that Best Picture and Director will be split.
1917 takes one, Parasite takes the other
I hope that Parasite wins Best Picture...
This is how I see it. I'm almost sure this will happen - Once Upon for Screenplay, 1917 director and Parasite Picture and editing.
Parasite will get screenplay
Lol Parasite took both 😂
My personal favorites for each category are:

k tom Joon-Ho definitely deserves it over Tarantino but in no world does Mendes deserve best director.
k tom I was just listing my personal favorites. Not necessarily who should win. I’m more than happy with Joon-Ho winning.
Parasite for Screenplay.

Starting to think that The Irishman will get totally snubbed 😢
Matheus Cunha The Irishman (a movie I loved) has been dead and buried since the Golden Globes. It’s going home empty handed for sure.
Good.
@@JDobbsy79 It was such a front-runner during the beginning of the awards season but lost all of its momentum after the Globes.
There’s a more deserving nominee in every category The Irishman is in.
Can someone explain How TF does Jojo Win adapted screenplay over THE IRISHMAN? Is The Irishman not winning anything??
Nah, it wasn’t that great.
@Dr. Teddy Bear I agree with you. I think that the Irishman could very well win for visual effects.
Parasite is my favourite movie of the last year.
Bohemian Rhapsody was awfully edited.
1917 is The most predictable like Green Book , both are amazing movies in my opinion however The academy dont like to take risk and make a Change for once
Moonlight tho...
There’s no way to make a prediction for this year it could easily be any of 4-5 of the different nominees
16 Janeiro 1993 RocketMan green book was not as predictable. Everyone thought Roma would take it and it didn’t. So don’t be surprise if 1917 doesn’t take it
Me hopelessly rooting for parasite in everything 😂😂😂😂😂 welp.....
alexa olguin i feel you
No.
@Slim Shady Yes.
Not so hopeless now huh
People are sleeping on Joker in a lot of categories. People are just ignoring the fact that it’s the most nominated movie of the whole batch. All I’m saying is don’t be surprised if Todd Phillips is on stage for the big award at the end of the night
Brendan Little it's almost impossible. The fact that it got many nominations means nothing. Predicting that movie to win ANYTHING aside actor and soundtrack is a HUGE BET. Really huge.
Tardes Cinefilas true but imagine if it happens 😅
Tardes Cinefilas I’m not predicting it but most people are outright dismissing it when it is still within the realm of possibility that it wins BP
Happy Oscar day, love all the post videos this past months and award season. Greetings from Guatemala.
Why not parasite??
FIRST I WAS WAITING FOR THIS
At least Klaus is going to win... That's something to look forward to

PARASITE WONNNNN
also, with Weinstein on trial right now, I don't see Tarantino taking the stage, sry
tendrugimichal I’m not sure I understand why Tarantino would be any less likely to take the stage than ANYone in that auditorium.

Cute guys talking Oscars? Yes please! My predictions go up on Saturday ;)
I wish Parasite could win best picture. 1917 deserves the directing award but not best film. From a fan of Bong Joon Hoo.
Bro I'm a big Bong Joon Ho fan too . But i think Parasite will win either Best Picture of Best Director . It won't win these two .
Picture: Parasite (I'm predicting an upset, but I see Jojo Rabbit or Joker pulling a major surprise, so don't be surprised by those winning)
Director: Mendes
Actor: Phoenix
Actress: Zellweger
Supporting Actor: Pitt
Supporting Actress: Dern
Original Screenplay: Parasit
Adapted Screenplay: Jojo Rabbit
Cinematography: 1917
Animated: How to Train Your Dragon 3 (more of a want, but I want to be the one to call it if it happens)
Foreign: Parasite
Film Editing: Joker (It's the Oscars, my main prediction is this category will be the biggest fuckery of the night)
Visual Effects: Avengers Endgame (A gut feeling mostly, but I feel they'll cave in and give it the award given it was the "last" one).
Sound Editing: 1917
Sound Mixing: 1917 (I can totally see Joker randomly showing up in one of these)
Score: Joker
Song: I'm Gonna Love me Again
Production Design: Hollywood (Parasite is an outside shot)
Costume Design: Little Women (Jojo Rabbit can upset)
Makeup/Hairstyling: Bombshell (I can see Joker pulling an upset)
What? First of all 1917 is way better, and either way it’s going to win a bunch of awards because that’s all its been doing
Absolutely agree, but I guess each year is different. And everyone hyped up 1917 because of the one take thing
Giang Vo it isn’t about comparing it to apocalypse now, buts 1917 is far better than dunkirk which is the comparison here
Gravity Gaming It doesn’t deserve best picture, simple as that
Video title notes “FINAL” predictions....in CAPS...
Best Original Screenplay: “this is not final...I may change at the last minute”
Yeah. These fans NEED to stop. The film's great, let it be that way. A film's greatness isn't measured if it wins an Oscar 🤷

I think Parasite will win because 1917 is the obvious winner, and the obvious winner never wins. In terms of the PGAs, Moonlight didn’t win the PGAs

Unlike Crash or Slumdog millionaire, all these movies are good to win
And the winner is... Parasite!
So we can't help choosing 1917 the best picture, ha ha!"
* Best Picture - 1917 (2. Parasite)
And here are ambiguous catogories. They will go to 1917, I think.
* Production Design - 1917 (2. Once Upon a Time... in Hollywood)
* Sound Mixing - 1917 (2. Ford v Ferrari)
* Visual Effests - 1917 (2. The Irishman)
Editing is the important category, because it can define best picture. But Oscar will present best picture to 1917, so they won't present best editing to Parasite which is the rival of 1917. They will choose unrelated film, Ford v Ferrari.
* Film Editing - Ford v Ferrari (2. Parasite)
Writing branch is very very important, and I think the winners are already outlined.
Once Upon a Time... in Hollywood)
* Adapted Screenplay - Jojo Rabbit
I can predict these categories easily.
* Directing - Sam Mendes 1917
* Cinematography - 1917
* Makeup and Hairstyling - Bombshell
* Original Score - Joker
* Original Song - "I'm Gonna Love Me Again" Rocketman
* Sound Editing - 1917
* International Feature - Parasite
* Actors - Joaquin Phoenix, Renee Zellweger, Brad Pitt, and Laura, done.
Costume Design, 'Jojo Rabbit vs Little Women', will go to Little Women. Because Little Women is tough to win any other categories. Fortunately Jojo Rabbit already has adapted screenplay, so Little Women will take leftover.
* Costume Design - Little Women
Animated Feature becomes a tight match between Toy Story 4 and Klaus.
* Animated Feature - Toy Story 4 (2. Klaus)
Animated Short and Feature are tied. If Toy Story 4 lose feature category to Klaus, Oscar will present short category to Pixar. However, the frontrunner of short film is Hair Love.
* Animated Short - Hair Love (2. Kitbull)
And here are the other categories.
* Documentary Short - Learning to Skateboard in a Warzone (If You're a Girl)
* Documentary Feature - American Factory
* Live Action Short - Brotherhood (or Neighbors' Window? I have no idea :) )
So this is my conclusion.
1917 - Directing/Cinematography/Production Design/Sound Editing/Sound Mixing/Visual Effests -> Best Picture!
Parasite - Original Screenplay/International Feature
Joker - Leading Actor/Original Score
Once Upon a Time... in Hollywood - Supporting Actor
Marriage Story - Supporting Actress
Judy - Leading Actress
Jojo Rabbit - Adapted Screenplay
Ford v Ferrari - Film Editing
Little Women - Costume Design
Bombshell - Makeup & Hairstyling
Rocketman - Original Song
If 1917 lose Production Design, Sound Mixing, Visual Effests and Parasite win Film Editing? Then Parasite can win Best Picture! (original screenplay + editing -> powerful!) I think this scenario is unlikely to happen. ;(
