I remember noting that common 20 year old cards at the time were worth about $1 each - so I imagined the 5 cent cards of the day would be worth $1 eventually too. 30 years later, they are still worth a nickel, largely as he said, because they were just overproduction. There was nothing rare about them 30 years later.
