Having "value investing" in the title of your video caught my attention. Despite growth outperforming in the past decade, I have always been a fan of value investing. Although this may be a bit of a financial-nerd discussion for some people, for those who understand the implications within an evolving high-tech world, it is important for people to understand. I spent 26 years in financial services, 15 as a triple-principal, and then 17 years ghost-writing for advisor practices and financial service firms. I have a new book for younger people coming out the first quarter of 2025 on growing wealth, so although specific investment strategies will be more broad in the book, this is a great topic that focuses on the realities of valuations in the era of big tech and the growing influence of intangible assets. I have given a lot of thought to this evolution in valuation in recent years, but Jacob expands upon it nicely.

This is great! I always love to hear a new perspective. Jacob is really getting me thinking on how to rethink my valuation process. I love "Classic measures of valuation and quality have degraded in terms of their ability to be used for stock picking" in terms of companies employing high levels of intangibles. Keep with the great and original content.
