Abrahim showed great faith, he was willing to give to God his son whom he loved with all his heart & his son was obedient. Anyways God provided a great substitute to take Abrahims son’s spot instead, a picture of God’s mercy.

In most, if not all human religious practices and traditions, eating plants are preferred over meats. In my opinion, to have a celebration in tandem with killing a animal is a pinnacle of paradoxes, as it is a spiritual quest, with bloodied hands.
