  • How to make a Faraday cage in a book box to prevent keyless car theft that actually works. Microwaves and tin boxes do not work as I show in the video. So, you might want to consider making the best Faraday box for car keys to prevent Relay Attack thefts at home.
    Relay attack car thefts are happening to easily steal vehicles and items left in vehicles nowadays so make sure you have a working Faraday box to protect key FOBS of your keyless entry/keyless start/keyless go vehicles. When making a Faraday cage or Faraday enclosure, make sure to use proper shielding material and test that the end product is working as expected. I use the Faraday bag testing app to test my Faraday box during the development stage and also at the end to ensure Cell, WIFI and Bluetooth signals are being blocked. A final test is also done to ensure that the Faraday box also works to block the Key FOB signals.
    Relay attack protection to stop vehicle theft.
    DIY Keyless Car key security box.
    Ensure you are protected by making your own faraday box (faraday enclosure) or buy a ready made RF shielding box, then properly test to ensure it actually works.
    Find links to the testing app and the items used for the DIY further below.

      Yes. It is a lot of work and testing is a must.
      Make sure to test the one you buy as well to ensure it actually works.

      Ya, I tried that, and it didn't work at all. Bought a supposedly popular item from Amazon, it didn't do anything. Need to be very careful, there's a lot of garbage products out there that don't work. Make sure you thoroughly test any product you buy for this application...

    To shield well, the metal on a faraday box does not need to be thick or many layers. You need an elastic conductive seal gasket. (Think of blocking air or water.) But not tiny holes but slits are the real problem, because even if narrow, the gap makes wavelength shorter than it pass through.
    Thus build an elastic conductive seal gasket. Professional shielding doors or old TV tuner cases have a row of tiny copper contact springs (like tines) around the entire gap. But an easier way to build this is gluing conductive metal mesh shielding tape over a strip of window insulation foam tape (silicone is most durable, others may decompose by touching metal). I used this inside my PC bigtower to shield the door rims.
    A faraday box will also help to protect your data media (e.g. USB stick, portable harddrives) against EMP by the now coming nuclear war or a nearby lightning strike. Important is that they only work when closed and no cables etc. is sticking out.

      So your devices will survive the nuclear war but you'll be dead. Fantastic!

    Interesting concept, but the music made stop after about 40 seconds.

    Can I just use a small cooking pot with metal lid?

    • @FrakkingCreations
      @FrakkingCreations  ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Depends how well the lid seals and what metal and how thick the metal is. You can always just test the pot out yourself to see.

    What a stupid useless counterproductive piece of technology. A system that hackers can easily get into unless you keep it a box or pouch that you have to carry around, then open to get the key out, then put away at journeys end. Where's the benefit ?

      Keyless entry was created for convenience at the cost of security when they don't implement it securely.
