Why are they all of a sudden calling themselves Indigenous? Even the United Nations considers them aboriginal, not indigenous. As for the treaty itself, why is Canada expected to uphold a treaty when the very same people made agreements in bad faith with land that didn't belong to them. When looking at things as a whole, the amount should be $0! It's disgusting that they keep taking. The first nations took this land when they came here from Asia and Siberia, they took land from other tribes through warring and disease, etc. Seems like everyone wants to ignore all facts aside from what benefits them. Shame on our government for not properly representing Canada against this extortion from the First Nations. If they want money, they should tax their own first Nations people instead of expecting handouts while still wanting to govern themselves. Many of their actions hurt our economy, such as selling gas and tobacco and weed to canadians with no taxes at all. They have the ability to make tons of revenue but they also want to take money from the people of Canada who are already suffering financially. Shame!
I find it pretty interesting that a treaty was signed before this nation was even established and now what our current population has to compensate for people that told a lie when this country didn't exist😂 In the past 15 years the 'First Nations' peoples have received $400 billion from Provincial and Federal governments. We have yet to be told where this reconciliation road leads to....seem all roads lead to the Bank🤑🤑🤑
