I suggest Kevin that you record these Anglo-Saxon Old English songs on CDs for us to purchase. Yes, there is still a market for CDs for the rest of us old timers.
Magestic and Beautiful, Hail Woden!
Good work as always!
Thank you, Jon. :)
It’s fascinating to listen to. At one point I would have believed it to be the language of my ancestors but after doing some research, it turns out I am a descendant of the Normans. On both sides of my family.
I'm French
That's good also.
But look at it this way, through all the centuries, there most likely was
Inter Marriage
with other cultures.
Especially on an island country
(Britain).
My family knows through research
that my Grandparents (4) were as follows.
1 Welsh ancestry,
2 Scotts,
1 English.
The cool thing to find out is, they all left Britain/England around the same time to
the Colonies approx. 400 years ago.
And who knows,
those with Celtic
ancestry more than likely had
Anglo- Saxon Husbands or Wives.
Or maybe even Jutes or Friesians.
And the last thing, just remember that the Normans were descended from Vikings, making them part of the Germanic tribe.
Same as the Anglo-Saxons.
👍⚔️💪
Awesome, I hope you create more songs like this
Wōden, sē Eallfæder!
So Great to hear!
I'm trying to work on finances
to be able to join in on your classes! 👍
Hey man you got to do more of these!
Why are you pronouncing long æ like a long e?
Because I’m following Joseph Wright’s grammar of Old English.
