Chekhov’s gun: you don’t introduce a gun into the first act of the play unless it will be fired later in the third act. Not only have they introduced it, but later drawn attention to it. Oh yes, it’s very important.
With Jedi-Luthen theory in mind, I rewatched the second half of Ep 3 when Luthen and Cassian escaped the foundry building. Those chain spools and heavy fixtures flying around the hall actually makes much more sense if you think of them being pushed by the Force. At the start when Cassian wants to retrieve the box, Luthen says "no" and immediately a massive object falls into Cassian's path. ...Maybe just a coincidence. As they finally escape, every heavy piece suspended from the ceiling is dancing wildly before simultaneously crashing to the floor, and there really isn't any good explanation for that. One guard tells their leader that they brought explosives and they're bringing down the whole building, although we only ever see a few bombs go off by the doorway at the start. Of course, there's nothing conclusive in this. It's just a bit more fun for those of us who enjoy some harmless speculation. ;)
Yah, I'm pretty sure he is a force-user. He talks as if he has gone to the darkside but not necessarily a Sith. The way he took out the Imperials was spot on. He did not miss and did not panic. His ship has lightsabers. He is carrying a staff (as did Darth Maul in Rebels). I think though his days are numbered. That ship will now be on the Imperial's Most-Wanted list. If he pops that lightsaber, Inquisitors and most likely Darth Vader will show up. Who knows, I could be completely wrong.
I'd love to see him be the brother of a Jedi. He had the same potential as a child but chose not to go that path or washed out of the Padawan program, changed his name and persona (as we've seen he's a great actor) and after Order 66 kills his brother and most of the other Jedi, Luthen begins working to fight the Empire in his own ways as revenge.
Honestly I was against him being a force user but after reading your theory l think that would be an awesome back story for this character. Well done sir. 🤘🏼
I think a lot of people are overlooking the one person who knows Luthen best, Kleya. She clearly has known him a long time, and seems to be at least 25 years younger, which makes me think she was his padawan when order 66 happened. I think they went into hiding together and chose to abandon their teachings in favor of revenge.
"If the Jedi are not all wiped out, it will mean Civil War without end." - an ex-Jedi being the MAIN Axis not just a fulcrum delivering fuel and intel sometimes like Ahsoka, being the MAIN organizer and networker of an Alliance capable of "calling it war" and winning, is not only not dumb but perfectly fitting to fulfil Palpatine's ONLY FEAR and prediction. I just found this channel, quality of many Star Wars youtubers brains etc is very low nowadays! Almost no one mentions more important things like i just heard in video now while typing, how he describes himself as in "HIDING" and knew the Empire was evil / needed to be fought right at the start, which only few like Jedi and their Senator friends would but waste time on over sized holocrons that are just easter eggs until characters draw attention to them, talk about or use them, like the KYBER CRYSTAL which is the ONLY person or thing other than his ship he loves they showed him caring a lot about and wanted it back, not likely for it's money value! How many types of people would go into "HIDING" exactly at the time of Order 66, and knew the Empire is evil at that time and feel guilty about it "Coward hiding too long" like they have the ability to do something about it other than make a speech in the Senate? SYMBOLISM: The Jedi and Senate worked together and FAILED to see and stop Palpatines evil, if Luthen is ex-Jedi combined with Mothma soon to be ex-Senate, it makes a perfect mirror or theme thing that some of them now work together to finally fix that mistake!
I would like it more if he's just Luthen Rael. He was once an optimistic person who has witnessed the horrific consequences of being an idealist when fighting evils.
Temple guard would be cool, maybe also why he is interested in ancient artifacts of the jedi/sith and other stuff related to it and how he got access to it
I like your comment and I agree with you I think he has something to do with Dooku they have way too much in common what was that other Apprentice name they have the same last name but I can't remember what his first name is and I can't find any backstory on him all I know is he came a Jedi after being an apprentice to Dooku that's it that's the end of his story so maybe he was Dooku's Apprentice at one time just a thought I'm probably wrong
I think that there are more clues that he is either dark or works in support of the dark side."I burn my decency for someone else’s future." Think he is referring to the Emperor. His speech is almost the opposition of Kino. His speech was centered on helping others while sacrificing himself knowing that he cannot swim. Luthen's speech is more about his ego's lost and himself. All the loss in the speech is what someone would lose in support of the dark side. Even if you had good intentions at the start. It was always part of Palpation's plan to create a rebellion before the war. Much how he was in control of both sides during the Clone Wars. Sadly, Luthen is his agent in this effort.. If he is a former Jedi..then this line makes sense for someone that thought he could control the dark side as long as he thought he was fighting for the "greater good".... "I yearned to be a savior against injustice without contemplating the cost and by the time I looked down… there was no longer any ground beneath my feet."
Very interesting theories and you picked out some juicy clues. 👍🏽Given! 1. It seemed to make sense that Luthen's ship would have lightsaber tech since it was reported earlier that the ship is Kyber powered. 2. I'm not so sure Luthen was actively targeting the TIE's with his laser cannons, they seemed to track and fire on their own. They fired twice. Both were one shot kills. Very efficient. (no need for young Luke or Finn to jump in the gunner's chair and waist 100 shots for one lucky kill)😂
I would be really surprised if he's dark side, as lots of people seem to think, unless he had a Maul-esque grudge against Palpatine. If he's force-wielding, he'll be closer to the Grey Jedi, imo
Just a theory but in my opinion Luthen was one of the Jedi High Council's secret weapons no other than a Jedi Shadow , in traditional terms this is the jedi sentinel . However Luthen's ability to act and go undercover , his knowledge of the coruscant underworld and incredible piloting skills meant they sent him on dangerous missions few other jedi could do. It is likely the Council didn't even have mission records for what they sent him to do and likely to find and kill the sith threat , for years Luthen would scout the unknown regions for any signs of the dark threat lurking under the jedi's nose, and when order 66 commenced luthen was on a mission with Quinlan Vos who he shared a close bond with due to the similarities of being the jedi shadow and being so few and rare , they agreed to split up and never saw each other again but luthen fights on many years later .
I’m VERY certain that Luthen is a Jedi (or a former Jedi), and I’m so glad I’m not the only one who thinks that! And I’m sure we’ll learn more about him in Season 2….
Such a great character. Love to see a book or show about him! Fantastic actor and I’m sure his character has a cool back story. I think it would be cool that the rebellion was started by a Jedi after order 66
I see him as more of a kyber user. I would see him using everything he found, imbued with the force, or not, if it suited him. Anyway you can be a force user without giving a crap about the religion. He's more of a Christmas and Easter Jedi.
That tiny staff looking thing was more than a hint though. Almost like they were flashing a neon sign . But the writers are smart so might just be a red herring.
Isn’t the stick he carried in episode 3 black and this on in 11 brown? Which doesn’t mean anything but we saw the earlier one extended as a walking stick this one we did not.
Personally I hope it doesn’t turn out that he’s a Jedi I’m enjoying the “ordinary people doing extraordinary things” theme that the show has. I like that the rebels and the empire, ISB and Cooperate security are all regular folks like you and me.
what about if he is not necessarily a Jedi, but has come across the lightsaber through his antiquity shop and can use a saber very skillfully? that hilt could be a pirates telescope? His name is SkhAAAAAARsGAAAAAARd after all,
No... I more like the idea that his just a normal person no powers or anything just a person wanted to change the universe whatever the tools he have. It works in Rogue one, it works on the 1st season of the Mandalorian and it's working on the 1st season of Andor.
I like the fact that he was a Jedi Temple Gaurd that betrayed his order. Now he is trying to redem himself while knowing that he can't as a jedi but he can as a civilian.
There is a possibility is that Luthen is a normal person who valued the Jedi path as a religion. Other cultures in Star Wars worship the Force, it is possible Luthen does the same. He could have worshipped it in a similar way to the Jedi because they were the closest Force-based culture/religion on pre-Empire Coruscant, assuming he grew up in the galactic capitol. Either way, he is a very interesting person.
Considering he trades various artifacts, I don't think it would be surprising if one had come into his possession. Other interpretations: he had a Jedi friend who died. He killed a Jedi (and perhaps regrets it). He seeks to emulate a Jedi in some manner in opposition to the Empire.
My theory is that he was a part of a local planet's resistance against the Separatists, like Cham Syndulla or the Gerraras. He fought alongside Jedi on his homeworld and befriended at least one. That kyber crystal belonged to said Jedi, be it from his own saber or a relic kept for its own sake. I think Luthen witnessed this Jedi being shot and killed by the clones
I don't want the force, but maybe a blue republic guard...friends with the jedi, who was aware of order 66...stuck between friends and orders....but I just want some redemption for the republic guards
It's not a lightsaber, we've seen this prop earlier in the series. It's his cool telescoping walking stick. It's in the episode of him on Ferrix. Also the monologue refers to the regime change not order 66. Theres no Jedi here, unless you've brought him with you
Luthens 'light saber' doesn't work because he removed the Kyber crystal. Probably the one he gave to Cassian as a down payment/ deposit. Also, he needs to remove himself from The Force so he doesn't get found or detected by the Sith. I think it would be great if they wrote Rael Averross into the cannon ;)
The man literally used the old Jedi mind trick to convince the guard to cease his inspection and return the hilt. Note Luthen’s unease with the man’s prolonged inspection of the device.
Another layer for his monolog in EP 10. He talks like he knows his fate already, like he has seen the future and knows how his story ends, but has accepted that as the will of the force. I don't think he's so much "turned to the dark side" as he has solid premonitions and knows what he has to do, and how it ends up for him. He's doing pretty much the opposite of what a dark side user would do. He's not impulsive and he doesn't cling to his own life. I think the willingness to make sacrifices like he is doing is a top tier jedi trait. Jedi don't always have to be "good", they have to patient and willing to make personal sacrifices for the greater good, including allowing other to die when it is their time.
I totally agree. Plus, he says he is condemned to use the weapons of his enemy. He uses red-colored light saber weapons on his ship. Plus, he uses anger and oppression like trapping the ISB informant.
that kyber crystal he gave to Andor, that's some clue. And I'm pretty sure just like Obi Wan, he must have close his ties to the force, surrendering his being .... as a force user.
So because he gave freaking kyber crystal that makes him a Jedi. Than Jyn Irso's mother was a Jedi too right? After all she gave her daughter a kyber crystal too, remember?
@@elsacristina9 - sigh - .... Who knows , I mean you can't just go to the Jedi temple or their "ice temple" with kyber crystal ... then just walk away with the Kyber crystal in your hand. Jyn on the other hand we cannot tell whether its pre-empire or republic, when her mother got a kyber crystal in her hand . If its Galactic Republic era, probably an ex-Jedi gave it to her and if its pre-empire, Jyn's father was still part of the empire got connection to the kyber crystal inventory bought one for her mother then pass down to her, I mean remember that crystal was actually expensive.. Hmm.. and as for Luthen maybe he's a Jedi fan who will do anything to get his hands on a kyber crystal, "name the price" and after the purge of the Jedi, he got triggered, and then waiting for a right time for revenge, soccer punch the Empire ( BELOW THE BELT ). But that's Star Wars, makes you imagine what comes next , then suddenly unexpected surprise.
I hope he's a Jedi, or at least a former one. It makes sense. Ahsoka is a former jedi who is part of the rebel alliance. Idk why everyone is so opposed to this. It makes so much sense that Luthen would start the rebel movement.
OMG. Star Wars Fans: "Why does EVERYTHING in the GALAXY have to be related? Why can't we get some new planets etc?" Andor comes out then "It must be related to Jedis and the Force." Sigh. I hope there are NO Jedi or TANTOINE anywhere in this series.
I think he was a Jedi, but now he's turned to the Dark Side. That's what he means when he says he's forced to use the tools of his enemy to defeat him. He also tells Andor to kill Syrill in almost the exact same way Palpatine told Anakin to kill Dooku, along with all the other dark things Luthen has had to do.
One glaring thing I think of is 'why does no one know or recognize his face/who he really is?' He is right there in the capitol, someone should know. I think he was either a temple guard, now unmasked. Or he could be a dark sider - gone good or neutral.
More importantly does no one else see the objects to the right of Luthen's head at 6:42 look suspiciously similar to or just like a Jedi & Sith holocron or is it just me? If they are Holocrons why would he have them? I know this scene takes place in his shop on coruscant where a bunch of trinkets are everywhere, but Luthen doesn't strike me as someone who doesn't know about the things in their possession. He's been shown to know a lot about many things. I feel like he must be aware of the Holocrons at the back of his shop or else it'll go against what we've seen so far of his character.
I keep getting the feeling he is avenging Qi Jon’s death. Maybe he dismantles Darth Mails saber to place the lasers on his ship and uses the handle on a day to day basis to remember why
Let's say that the cane Luthen carries does have a lightsaber built into it. That doesn't mean he built it, or by merely welding it means he is a Jedi. Luthen is an antiquity dealer and has come across numerous artifacts that litter his store. Plenty of non-Jedi or even non-force sensitive people have wielded a lightsaber before.
That is his cane. We see it in episode 3 where his is holding his cane/spear and then it turns back into that hilt. Why everything around Star Wars needs to have Jedi and Sith, and lightsabers and force users. Geez. I love Jedi and I love lightsabers and I LOVE LUKE, but even I understand that there are much more to that. It is pathetic to be honest at this point. The guy don't even know the exact date when Order 66 happens, which was 14 years ago, the same age of Luke and Leia, NOT 15.
I think he was once on the path to be a jedi but he is one that uses it when it is needed. Some ways may be the dark side as this would also been banned from the jedi order.
One more prediction. I already predicted that Luthen is from Naboo and knows Palpatine and may be related to Padme somehow. I predict that Luthen actually fought as a Naboo pilot during the defeat of the Trade Federation mother ship in Episode I. They are setting up the Fondor ship to appear invincible. What is the one entity that can defeat anything? My prediction is that Luthen fought WITH the 10 year old Anakin, but will be killed by Vader in a spaceflight, probably in season 2.
“Jedi hunt themselves”. The only way to survive is to hide in isolation or cut yourself off…or, not be Jedi. Only one of those alternatives would allow for active resistance.
Luthen is not Jidai but rather Shinobi like myself. You may benefit from seeing him as a guardian of Jedi Relics. He was to keep them hidden from the Sith. His truncheon is a pole saber that can become a short two hander like the shinobigatana. He learned to shape shift using the force as well as hide his force signature. I believe it's possible the teacher of Palatine Sidious was also secret guard and taught him as much until he was corrupted. Possibly Sifo Diyas was corrupted by Darth Plageious the wise while both held prisoner. Palpatine was possibly involved with one or the other as was Tyranus without knowledge of their rival. Then whenever 1 killed or betrayed the other the energy of the Sith Emperor immortal transferred into them and the corruption and twisted form was concentrated once there were no more rivals his plan was complete he became the true 1 sith. Also when there were no more Jedi to share the will of the force his will with the dark side was "Unlimited Power!"
I think if Luten is a Jedi, then we will be shown it at the end of the season or when he gets ambushed. About the same as in Rogue One with Darth Vader, where he was an unstoppable force of nature for ordinary people.
If Duku was able to have strong commitments to his family, why wouldn'r Luthren wont? He could be from a very high position family etc, but I always said this guy was a guard. 100%
He could just as well be an Mandalorian especially someone who learned from Maul about the emperor and the way of the dark side. The Crystal might be from his ancestor who also made the dark saber. Or he is just someone who studied force user's and figured the rest out on his own.
I think he is going to end up being associated with the jedi. Whether that be some sort of special type like a shadow or a Knight who left the order I don't know. It could be a possibility that he is was in one of the cores as a jedi archaeologist and never made it to Knight....
Luther is not a jadi and there is no evidence that he ever was one. This nonsense theory started with the scene where his ship is shawn to have light Saber like energy blades but that doesn't mean he is a jadi. All it means is he has some very cool gadgets. Everything else is just people reading too much into the details that are not meant to be interpreted in that manner.
I think that we can have a strong characters in Star Wars, without them been a force user or close. I don't want him to be a jedi. I want him to be a simple man, who have chosen to carry the weight of the early rebellion on his back, and yes - maybe some tragic origin story will be nice.
He is NOT a sentinel/Shadow...nor is he a Sith. Luthen is a Gray Jedi, a Paladin. Paladin's are multiskilled, blend in with human occupations & lifestyles. Paladins are skilled in flying, skilled in a variety of trades, in using a multitude of weapons, disquises, stealth, etc. Paladins were not well known generally, both in the Rupublic or by the Jedi Council, although there was a contingent of Grays living at the Jedi Temple on Coruscant. His cover as an antiques dealer is different. Luthen is a Gray Jedi...a Paladin. Thus his style of dress, use of other weapons/blasters, and his use of disquises etc. Posing as an antiques dealer...in plain sight. Bringing Grays back to canon. As a Gray he would not be a well known / famous Jedi. Grays were not held in high esteem. His lightsaber hilt is beautiful (wood & leather? /Wood solo? I imagine his sky kyber crystal powers it.
“Sometimes a stick is just a stick…”

Walking Stick
"...I share my dreams with ghost..." meaning all the people that share the same visions/dreams/aspirations/goals as him are ALL DEAD
Or force ghost hmmmm
Ghost of jedi
Chekhov’s gun: you don’t introduce a gun into the first act of the play unless it will be fired later in the third act.
Not only have they introduced it, but later drawn attention to it. Oh yes, it’s very important.
Seems to me he’s a Gray Jedi
Amazing analysis , you’re seriously right on the money. Gilroy definitely knows all about Chekhov’s gun.
Goddamn i hope grey Jedi is the case. We (that's right I'm Grey, like Ashoka) need more representation. Lol
Great point
With Jedi-Luthen theory in mind, I rewatched the second half of Ep 3 when Luthen and Cassian escaped the foundry building. Yooooo I just went back to rewatch and I honestly think this is a great dive into detail!
I think Luther might be a Jedi Shadow. Makes sense after his monologue saying he uses his enemies’ tools against them.
Yah, I'm pretty sure he is a force-user. He talks as if he has gone to the darkside but not necessarily a Sith. The way he took out the Imperials was spot on. He did not miss and did not panic. Wait a second. If he takes the crystal he gave andor he can put that into the hilt and turn it into a lightsaber.

That's a cool twist. Like it.
That's what I was thinking too. Had the potential but just couldn't conform to the dogma.

good point
someone already mentioned it in different video, it makes sense
That’s my thinking as well it’s all making sense
Luthen would very much be like an anti-Palpatine in this scenario, which would be utterly genius imo.
"If the Jedi are not all wiped out, it will mean Civil War without end."
- an ex-Jedi being the MAIN Axis not just a fulcrum delivering fuel and intel sometimes like Ahsoka,

That is his cane. Pay attention to the freaking show dude.
I think as soon as luthen puts that crystal back in his saber and uses the force openly, he knows Darth Vader will sense him and come stop him.
I think that there are more clues that he is either dark or works in support of the dark side."I burn my decency for someone else’s future." Think he is referring to the Emperor. He could have been an assistant librarian working for Jocasta in the temple library

Tony Gilroy may be pulling an epic troll. A trail of bread crumbs that lead to only disappointment.
And “Put it down or give it back” sounded like a Jedi mind trick to me.
That tiny staff looking thing was more than a hint though. Almost like they were flashing a neon sign . But the writers are smart so might just be a red herring.

Hold on wasnt this a telescope of sorts?
Luthen: "You fool! I have been trained by Dooku"
Dooku's training: Try spinning. That's a neat trick.
I like the fact that he was a Jedi Temple Gaurd that betrayed his order. Now he is trying to redem himself while knowing that he can't as a jedi but he can as a civilian.

i love Andor, my hope for the Star Wars has been rekindled :) love the show, and Luthen and Mon kill every single scene they are in :)
How many sith sabers are required to build a ship size light saber?
Or two?
I could watch whole movie with luthen. Great character
Considering he trades various artifacts, I don't think it would be surprising if one had come into his possession.

I think Luthen is working with Maul after Order 66. His ship is even inspired by the saber staff
With his collection and the way he speaks and talks and all I have to think he is a Jedi and his coworker was once his padwan
I don't want the force, but maybe a blue republic guard...friends with the jedi, who was aware of order 66...stuck between friends and orders....but I just want some redemption for the republic guards
No it Darth plagues cane it a double lightsaber
It's not a lightsaber, we've seen this prop earlier in the series.
It's his cool telescoping walking stick. It's in the episode of him on Ferrix. Also the monologue refers to the regime change not order 66.
Theres no Jedi here, unless you've brought him with you
It could be both
Luthens 'light saber' doesn't work because he removed the Kyber crystal.
Luthen is like Palpatine if he were a serious good guy.
Jedi don't always have to be "good", they have to patient and willing to make personal sacrifices for the greater good, including allowing other to die when it is their time.
not sure if this is a clue but at 6:40 the cube and pyramid on the shelf. reminds me of what was on Rebels.
It IS NOT a lightsaber, it is a knife!
Palpatine feared the Jedi Shadows. Maybe he's one of them with a yellow bladed saber.
Whoever he is, I want a Luthen show.
I bet that his wooden lightsaber is activated with the crystal Andor has
I think he's the one who saved Grogu and is hiding him ... Most of the items he has could mask Grogu force scent
Could be a Jedi turned Inquisitor turned Rebel
I hope he's a Jedi, or at least a former one. It makes sense. Ahsoka is a former jedi who is part of the rebel alliance. Idk why everyone is so opposed to this. It makes so much sense that Luthen would start the rebel movement.
OMG. Star Wars Fans: "Why does EVERYTHING in the GALAXY have to be related? Why can't we get some new planets etc?" Andor comes out then "It must be related to Jedis and the Force." Sigh. I hope there are NO Jedi or TANTOINE anywhere in this series.
Looks like he also has a sith and jedi hollocron in his back room of his store.
I am still curious about who the young lady in his shop is. Some have said they think she is Andor's sister. Thoughts?
I do think it would be cool if Luthen was actually Quinlan Vos’ master Tholme.
Either he is an Jedi Guardian or a Shadow Jedi
More importantly does no one else see the objects to the right of Luthen's head at 6:42 look suspiciously similar to or just like a Jedi & Sith holocron or is it just me?
If they are Holocrons why would he have them?
I know this scene takes place in his shop on coruscant where a bunch of trinkets are everywhere, but Luthen doesn't strike me as someone who doesn't know about the things in their possession. He's been shown to know a lot about many things. I feel like he must be aware of the Holocrons at the back of his shop or else it'll go against what we've seen so far of his character.
In episode 3 Lutheran was pretty aware of what was coming down on them
What about the giant light sabres that pop out of Luther’s ship?
I keep getting the feeling he is avenging Qi Jon’s death. Maybe he dismantles Darth Mails saber to place the lasers on his ship and uses the handle on a day to day basis to remember why
At 6:41 on the top shelf he has a Jedi and Sith Holocron
If he is in fact the Jedi who wrote order 66. Wouldn't that make him Sifo Dyas?
What if luthen was one of the temple maitanence workers
"I'll try spinning, it's a good trick" I'd like to take a step further and say Luthen is Anakin's father)
He worked in the Jedi temple gift shop...
Its Palpatines brother kicked away from power, searching for revange
I'm not sure he is a member of the jedi but he is definitely a boss. I mean he has a kyber crystal, it could be the one from his saber.
“Jedi hunt themselves”. The only way to survive is to hide in isolation or cut yourself off…or, not be Jedi. Only one of those alternatives would allow for active resistance.
He's gotta be a jedi shadow if he is not an ex temple guard
Seems he has a lightsaber pike from old republic....the metal part might be beskar metal to be used as defence.
Desperate times demand desperate acts.
It is obviously not wooden in the first episodes. But I agree that it is pretty clear that he is a Jedi. But why the red crystals in the ship?
I think he is a Kyber Temple Priest.
Also when there were no more Jedi to share the will of the force his will with the dark side was "Unlimited Power!"
no it's a broken staff , one the guardians of the whills used on Jedha . Luthen is an ex guardians of the whills
He tried spinning that's a good trick so I think he's actually Anakin.
COMEON! IF HE ISNT SOMEHOW A JEDI OR RELATED TO THEM THEN THEY TROLLED US BIG TIME😂
I think if Luten is a Jedi, then we will be shown it at the end of the season or when he gets ambushed. About the same as in Rogue One with Darth Vader, where he was an unstoppable force of nature for ordinary people.
If Duku was able to have strong commitments to his family, why wouldn'r Luthren wont? He could be from a very high position family etc, but I always said this guy was a guard. 100%
His space lightsabers were RED
Maybe the beams on luthan's ship are ready because he has taken inquisitor red cyber crystals
He could just as well be an Mandalorian especially someone who learned from Maul about the emperor and the way of the dark side. The Crystal might be from his ancestor who also made the dark saber. Or he is just someone who studied force user's and figured the rest out on his own.
It’s a blue kabir crystal
What if Luthan is a sith.
Luthen also could have given up his Jedi ways because OBI-WAN TOLD THEM TO. Obi-Wan said HIDE ... Yoda wanted the Jedi to HIDE. Luthen has HIDDEN.
The Black series toys revealed that it’s a knife.
He says he has been hiding too long… as a Jedi he would have been hiding for 15 years.
