Forget the critics. I loved this movie. The visuals were stunning. It made me want to visit and live in Cornwall where before I would not have taken a look. And it made me look at the original movie. I liked both and will overlook Hammers bad British accent. It’s like he wasn’t even trying...
The front view of the house was a total disappointment anyone who read the book would know that. And the film compared to Hitchcock was a disaster. Maxim was the worst. The over sexualization was stupid and completely out of character with the book.
