Pez said it Giles..Glad to see you back on here with great videos! You were greatly missed! Yours were this first air gun videos I began watching.. Ted was some where down the line. Keep up the good work!
Wow! Thank you so much! I managed a 100yd hit on target thanks to your tips, now I need some of those adjustable mounts as I had to hold over way too much, thanks again, made me feel badass🤣
I found a dealer in the UK who actually have them in stock !!! Ordered last Thursday and delivered by the following day. Result :-) !! And yes it really is a cracking air rifle, better than my similarly priced Evanix Sniper ..
I find it quite funny myself when people say a pcp can't shoot well at 100 yards, I don't even understand that, if it can't it's the shooter, the gun or the scope, it had better shoot well at a hundred for the price, budget guns can do it so people confuse me when they say a gun can't do it, my gun isn't even regulated and it shoots great at 100 yards. Great video as always.
Giles, fabulous video thanks. I had terrible problems with the electronic controlled mk3 which I loved back in the day, so much so I bought two then chipped them in, then bought another one! Only for the battery to drive me mad in the end, always needed plugging in and went back for a new one circa £80 from memory! Never again despite how quiet and accurate they were. I've owned loads of different air guns but never an FX and with you and BAR and their videos I'm definitely having one of these and maybe a Royale too!! Thanks again for the superb demonstration of the basics required to have some awesome fun. Atb Pete
Hi Giles. Watched your revue and down I go to Braces and out I come with the Wildcat. It is amazing. Thank you for your honest and impartial revue. I have also me tinned to them to keep up the tea and biccies
Was looking at a FX wildcat bt until someone on airgun forums mentioned AGT. Looked into them and ended up buying a .25 FAC uragan. This rifle is amazing, the FX is a distant memory.
i cannot recommend bisly magnum 177 pellets enough!! for all fx models but especially the wildcat mk1! i can put 10 shots in 1 hole at 40 yards and hit a drawing pin or extra slim smoking filter end on every time without fail, ive never experienced such accuracy as a comparison i had a 20p sized grouping with jsb. even today in 2022 im yet to find a rifle to compare to the mk1 wildcat paired with bisley magnum in 177 cal! the most consistently accurate all round hunting air rifle ever made in my opinion !!
I love you guys, my fav air gun channel easily. you are awesome, always put a smile on my face and make me laugh. keep up the awesome work my friend, your great!
Great to have you back again Giles. Yeah, the Mrs. looks pretty enthused with her blowy bits. Oh, did you come out here for Extreme Benchrest again this year? I hope to make it our there for the 2016 event and hope you attend as well as it would be great to get a handshake. Great video and the Wildcat does look to turn the bullpup airgun market on it's side with those features and price point. Keep up the great work!
There are lots with regulators that have been round for some time, regulators are great for consistent power. The is the first short FX that isnt over £1000 ie verminator or bobcat.
great video. makes me want to have a closer look at one. sorry to see you are not at the extreme benchrest but I didn't make it either. take care and thanks for the video.
Just found that Hawke now make adjustable scope mounts .. Just paid £32.55 inc postage for the 30mm dovetail mounts .. far cheaper than FX offering at nearly £90
Our pistols have to be sub 6 ft/lbs. 😂 We covet your 30+ft/lb rifles. 😂 As a note, many of our rifles are nowhere near the magic 12. Some are 10. If we tune too close to 12 ft/lbs using a particular pellet, if the police check it and they use a different weight pellet, it could easily tip it over the limit. Happy shooting, friend. 👍
ALL PARTS ARE NOT MACHINED CORRECTLY Mine scratches the magazines at loading, and the butt pad was misaligned by a 1/32" at the bottom. Have had 3 scopes with Weaver rails and 170S QD on each. They are Hawke Pro IR 3-12x50, ATN X-Scope 5-18, and a Hawke Red Dot 30. The first two make this Bullpup weigh in at over 10 pounds, so it gets heavy with unsteadied shots. It does have an Atlas BiPod and a Huggett.
Beauty with this gun is that as you shoot you can reload the magazine at the same time so when we shoot rats at night this feature means we do not have to keep swapping over magazines, unless the shooting hots up so that you do not have time to reload the existing mag!
I bought a FX wild cat three years ago in .25 I shot 3 rounds to sight in the scope and went to killing squirrels in one good month I shot 2,800 rounds I have shot over 7,000 rounds not one problem still shooting and killing squirrels my shots are a lot of the time 95 yards out to 130 and some time farther. I can shoot 80 rnds on a fill and past the reg still shoots ok. shoots good off hand also good balance . mostly I shot off Primo's tripods sticks but I can kill a lizard at a 100 yrds off hand. This rifle shoots at 900 fps. It is a killing machine. .22 would be just as good a choice. Nothing on this rifle has ever come lose. It just keeps preforming. Swab the barrel once in a while to clear the lead dust is all I do.
Looks like the gun has been super glued to the shooting benchrest, and the benchrest has been gorilla glued to the table! Great shooting and review, wonder what you would think of the MK3 now?
Was that bit at the end a peak towards Daystate, or are many others using battery systems? How does Logun fare these days? Havn't heard from them in ages. Weren't they at the top, or at least share top with Daystate? I have been of airgunning for ages so I really don't remember, I think Webley Axor was my dream rifle at the time if that says anything about how long I've been of, perhaps FX had released their first version of the Gladiator
Nice one Giles, pleasure to watch. Anyone know the purpose (if any) of the middle of the 3 holes at the rear of the action? The bottom one is occupied by a brass coloured component, while the top hole is briefly filled when the cocking lever is operated...... but that middle hole? hmmm, any ideas?
+basbosi123 Actually I'm lucky to have both :)I found the cricket to be slightly more accurate and has a more sturdy barrel which does not vibrate as much as the Wildcat's. Also it's easier to upgrade..i.e to adjust the regulator and trigger pull. You also get 14shots in the mag vs 8 for wildcat. (for .22cal)However, the Wildcat is lighter in weight, much easier to load the mag and more convenient to cock the lever while still looking through the scope for follow-up shots. Also a lighter trigger pull while stock. In my honest opinion I favor the Cricket simply because it feels more sturdy, easier to upgrade and accuracy is my top priority over convenience. Happy shooting!
A great review Giles. I was considering getting the new Brocock Compatto when it finally comes out but now I'm not so sure. If i can find the extra notes it may have to be a Wildcat.
great vid and gun would like to see you do one on parkerhale phoenix in 22 realy would like to see one in action other reviews all written with photos hope to see a proper review fanx
Great video Giles, and a great rifle too. Someone told me the other day that there is now a legal Semi-Auto sub 12 Ft Lbs Rifle available in UK, is this true and if so can you please look into it and give us some details? Perhaps your mates in Braces could help find out? Many thanks,
fantastic video. RIGHT I have a daystate wolverine c type. which is better ???????. I really do love the Wolverine but I do like the FX. do you think I should swap it .???????please help me out .
what would people reccomend as a beginner rifle in the uk? i was thinking of getting the remington xp tactical because i love my 1911 rac pistol. input is appreachiated. great review btw. Thanks
I've recently purchased a Wildcat and I seem to be having issues with filling it. I have the fill attachment and when I fill from a tank all is well until I am done filling and need to then remove the male end of the attachment from the fill port on the air cylinder on the gun. Even though I have turned off the tank I am filling from, there is still pressure in the line and when I remove the attachment there is a loud pop. There is not a pressure relief valve on the tank I am using to fill so do I need to find an attachment with a relief valve and secondly, if the male end is still attached to the fill port when I relieve pressure will it also leak air out of the air cylinder on the gun or is there a check valve inside that male end to prevent back flow?
Hi Giles great video of the wildcat. how does she perform out in the hunting field and have you tried the 177 girly caliber. best wishes from WALES..... lol Lyndon AKA scooter
Hi, I got a wildcat today and took my scope and mounts off my R10 to fix it to the wildcat. The mounts I have are low or lowest mounts you can get. Issue I have is when bringing the FX to cheek I have trouble looking through the scope and have to raise the butt of rifle right up just below my eye socket and is not comfortable at all. Does this mean wildcat is better off with medium or high mounts as a standard policy? Look forward to your reply.
+Kjell Köttö Thanks for that buddy. After posting the comment and not getting a reply off AirgunGearShow I went out and got some high mounts and is 110% better and see through the scope crystal clear. Thanks so much for your reply buddy, your a gent ;o))))
Thx a lot, When i take a look to any of the videos you realises, it brings a bit more of British behavior in my way of life , and so , that makes me a bit sad about brexit, but , like somebody said once upon a time ; “ loving is letting people go “ ( sorry about my poor translate capability, I’m only French ;) anyway thumbs up 👍 for your goods reviews !!
Excellent explanation Mr Briton ..
The presentation is way better than the gun itself. Man you can make iron look gold!
A good, comprehensive review, thank you, Giles. I'm glad to know that it's so good because one of these guns is on order for me - I can't wait.
Pez said it Giles..Glad to see you back on here with great videos! You were greatly missed! Yours were this first air gun videos I began watching.. Ted was some where down the line. Keep up the good work!

thank you very much, Giles, I'm enjoying my FX Crown and now I want a wildcat
Good to have you back
Outstanding, Giles! That graph got you a thumbs up, but "I have got my little blowers" added this vid to Favorites.
Excellent video! Seriously, somebody give this man his own tv show.
I love your reviews. They’re extremely informative and very entertaining. Love the accent too.
Nice work Giles so good to see you back. A good mix of review & personality keep the faith old chap.

I can't believe you guys do all that you do with sub 12 ft lbs...I have pistols that are 20 ft lb

Great vid
nice one Giles
I am laughing so much (see the beach sequence) Why havent I seen this review earlier? Great review, tnx
Very nice review and excellent shooting. I have a question for you. Which one would you buy. Cricket or wildcat.
+basbosi123 Actually I'm lucky to have both :)I found the cricket to be slightly more accurate and has a more sturdy barrel which does not vibrate as much as the Wildcat's. Also it's easier to upgrade..i.e to adjust the regulator and trigger pull. You also get 14shots in the mag vs 8 for wildcat. hello. can you do a review from a FX Bobcat MK II in .22 cal ? thanks
what is the ft/lbs or joules on that I have a old theoben .22 it will do 100 yards no problem gotta love shooting and accurate much fun
Hello. What pressure is on the regulator ? My Bobcat has a setup at 145 bar at the regulator.
Thanks!
perfect
I wonder if this Fx will still load so incredable easy and light if in full power. Fac or 40 joules i.e.
Could you do a video on the weihrauch hw30s please

+waddac2 All bullpups need a high scope mount beacuse your cheek rests over barrelhight.
