  • David has a well rounded experience in our industry. He has worked with Husqvarna for 19 years serving in various roles including Safety and Applications Trainer for chainsaws. He currently serves as a Territory Manager. David is also the President of Georgia Tree Masters as well as Arbor Pro Consulting & Training providing Tree Risk Assessments, tree inspections and chainsaw safety training for tree care companies, municipalities, and beyond. He is an ISA Certified Arborist and TRAQ Qualified. He has been a generous supporter of the GAA for many years and has a wealth of knowledge to share with our industry.
    In this session we will learn about:
    Personal Protective Equipment
    Chainsaw safety features, how they work, importance of inspection
    General daily care and maintenance of a saw for safe practices
    Parts of chain cutter, and functions of each
    Proper starting procedure/clamp start/ground start
    Ergonomics - reducing fatigue by utilizing saw as it is designed
    Reactive forces of saw/bar/chain

    Sometimes my chain break comes on and I don't feel myself hitting the brake. Now I know why. Inertia. Thanks David
