Whatcha Want goes hard... period. I have such an emotional response to that song. It's not something I experience regularly. I feel like i should give them therapy money.
So much of why Lawrence is so good is not only the great vocals and the great musicianship, it’s that there are actually very excellent ARRANGEMENTS. All the different dynamics and the breaks, it just makes it all so much fun to listen to.
Half expected Gracie to kick out that stool from under her feet, pop out that window to the fire escape and the camera boom out and down to half the city out on the street jamming to Don't Lose Sight - haven't seen this much energy from an acoustic set... ever?!? 😍
Found Lawrence a few years ago and have been enjoying the ride. So amazing seeing them get the recognition they deserve and so thankful for the amazing music they are making. Thank you!
meh. it's about as good as ya podcast. yo, pretty sure their dad is in the industry and she's a failed actress or something... oh that's right, like every band nyc/la band. LOL!
The Vocal Pipes, the all-around on point musicianship, all make this pure, good-vibe inspiring, soulful funk band a must-have in one's musical collection!!! Sensational job, all around!!!
Gracie has really blossomed into an absolutely stunning young woman with a remarkable stage presence. She commands your attention at all times. Clyde is a time traveler from another era and keeps getting better himself.
This band is just crazy! Amazing every single time! The whole band, a reduced band, Gracie and Clyde alone, the extended band (acustic-ish)... the energy is always there! I wish they would come to Uruguay (or near) one day so I can take my daughter (5) and son (10) so see them!! We all love the band and are great fans!
About 3 months ago I heard Lawrence for the first time - and now I don‘t know how I could live before that day! Must have been a dark time…Can‘t wait to see you on your tour in a few days! ❤
I saw these 2 in a video in their room at their house when they were very very young. For some reason I got this vibe and thought to myself these 2 are going to be GIANTS in the Music Biz.... Been a fan since the Xmas hats singing in their bedroom.. Was supposed to go to a meet and greet but could not make it - I am old, and had some walking problems, and the next day COVID shut everything down - I was hoping they would continue.. LAWRENCE is GIFTED and the BAND has been kept Original.. That says something about Clyde and Gracie.... Keep Going, these are REAL people with TRUE TALENT !!!!!!!
I know I already commented on this video at sone point… but I’m sayin…. THESE KIDS SOUND AMAZING EVERYWHERE😂😂😂. In a gondola.. a kayak.. over zoom 😂. The standards they hold themselves to in a live performance are what sets them apart. 🤘❤️🤘
Amazing songwriting, amazing arrangement, amazing performances both musically and vocally. I listen to you guys every day. Such an inspiration. Keep it up :)
Need to hear a little “well they say the world’s your oyster, but oysters ain’t for me” from them. Got the perfect Charlie Day- I like life at paddy’s pub range
Amazing performance! Great interview as well. At 16:00, did Jack need to stand on the street so he didn't tower over Clyde and Gracie? Hahaha, I know they are both on the shorter side.
I would love Lawrence to do Dr Feelgood by Aretha Franklin. Clyde would kill the arrangement and Gracie would be spectacular on the vocals. As they do on everything!
The Rolling Stones thing is hilarious. LIFE magazine had a cover story about Can The Rolling Stones Keep It Together For Yet Another Tour? . . . back in 1972.
Whatcha Want goes incredibly hard in the acoustic setting holy moly
acoustic-ish right? hehe
When are they dropping the acoustic-ish album

oh yeah well im 92 years old and ive lived thru more and i like them more than you
You still got time to delete this
72 here and these guys will keep you young....my joints may complain about me dancing around the house with headphones on.
I'm only 41, but I did recently have a lobotomy, so needless to say I really enjoy Lawrence
@@VinceKullyI'm actually dead and have lived through the most and they are my favourite more.
"I woke up 5 minutes ago"... *belts like she's been warming up for 30 minutes*. Fie on you, gracie.
Found Lawrence a few years ago and have been enjoying the ride. So amazing seeing them get the recognition they deserve and so thankful for the amazing music they are making. Thank you!
So so good wow
I would say the next guest on the podcast... worthy idea? 🤔
meh. it's about as good as ya podcast.

What a band (and only half of them are here) and yes, Gracie is very special indeed!
Holy Hell! Whatcha Want pops like a MFer! Gracie's range and energy is WOW! The entire band has me insanely hungry for more right now!
Hell yes! More Lawrence always. These guys deserve so much more love than they get... just a matter of time!
i could listen to this type of music FOREVER
Always more impressive than the last listen, what an amazingly talented band

Can we just acknowledge Gracie killing the intro to the second song after admitting she just woke up??!?! 🔥🔥🔥🔥
She has talent that doesn’t make worldly sense, like at all 🤯
About 3 months ago I heard Lawrence for the first time - and now I don‘t know how I could live before that day! Must have been a dark time…Can‘t wait to see you on your tour in a few days! ❤
I don’t freaking understand how Grace makes singing like that look so dang easy!!!
Saw them in London for the 2nd time on July 6th, such a great live band. The energy in the room that night was off the charts.

Discovered this wonderful lot through Jacob Collier and now they're my favourite group - fantastically funky, soulful and fun
I am 62 years old, you guys are also my favorite band!!!!
Hell yes
I’m 44, my kids are 8, 10, and 11. We love Lawrence! Soul distilled into the musical form.
@charlesford3802 I'm 42 and my kids 8 and 5 and we love Lawrence!
Once again they prove they can kill in any setting - not that they have anything to prove :)
They’re incredible
Who knew I needed and acoustic funk version of toxic.
Any day I can hear Lawrence is a good day. Smashing the replay button!!!
I'm from Long Island and feel fortunate to have known of them for so long. My finacee designed some horns for them, too 🤗
Life has never been the same ever since I started listening to this band! I love them so much❤
Lawrence is pure brilliance in every way!! To say you guys inspire and ignite EVERYTHING is the understatement of the century!!

This guy brings us so much fun music. God bless you Jack.
Can we just sit for a minute with Clyde’s key work? Come on?! That guy can play and his voice is classic.
Can't wait to see them in-person for the first time this October!!!!
I know I already commented on this video at sone point… but I’m sayin…. THESE KIDS SOUND AMAZING EVERYWHERE😂😂😂. In a gondola.. a kayak.. over zoom 😂. The standards they hold themselves to in a live performance are what sets them apart.

So cool to see these acoustic takes of a couple songs off their new album
I first heard of you guys on TYSO about a month ago, now I'm a big fan! You guys are incredible!
Gracie hair looking fire and they are all sounding great
Another Track Star heater!
Amazing songwriting, amazing arrangement, amazing performances both musically and vocally. I listen to you guys every day. Such an inspiration. Keep it up :)
I've been a big fan since I first them singing "I'm Probably Up"
Is it just me or does Clyde give off strong Ray Charlse vibes? Both Clyde and Gracie are exceptional talents. AMAZING!!!
SO EXCITED to see how much Lawrence's grown! I need to hear them LIVE!
Gracie KILLED IT

Just dripping with talent and style. Just saw these guys in London. GO SEE THEM LIVE! Love Lawrence!
Clyde is a phenomenal keyboard player
He channels Billy Joel, Stevie Wonder and Oscar Peterson pretty effectively.
These guys are awesome!
Gracie is a fashion icon
Saw these legends in London last year then last week in London again. My top 2 gigs ever
Cant wait til I see you in st. Louis !
Holy moly, love these two. Also close your eyes and Clyde’s voice is Jonah Hill. It’s uncanny.
nope. More Randy Newman. Hill's voice does not have the grit.
such talented singers they are.
They are AWESOME!!! 👏
Can't wait for the Tiny Desk :)
Yeah, I KNOW it's gonna happen, just a ... matter of when.
Good Lord! I love them so much! I always thought Clyde's voice was a cross between Randy Newman and Dr. John.
the percussionist killed it! And I Love Gracie...
Soooo good
Just the best youtube channel out here
sooo underrated ♥ Love u guys!
I really enjoy the format of these videos they are so well put together
Thanks so much
This "Toxic" cover is everything. I mean, really, this band is everything.
This is just simply ridiculous. Grace and Clyde are simply beyond talented.
I know I’ve said it before but her resemblance to the late, great Teena Marie in her look, sound and mannerisms is amazing!
I'm here for the Lawrence lovefest!
What a sound! OMG
Y'all are a ton of fun :)
Need to hear a little “well they say the world’s your oyster, but oysters ain’t for me” from them. Got the perfect Charlie Day- I like life at paddy’s pub range
Love from Colombia 🇨🇴
YAY! More lawrence content to overplay
Banger after banger! Even in this acoustic setting they’re absolutely rocking it!
I found these guys back with 'It's Not All About You', and 'Casualty '
Just found my favorite sibling band.
dam I got a big ass crush on gracie
Amazing performance! Great interview as well. At 16:00, did Jack need to stand on the street so he didn't tower over Clyde and Gracie? Hahaha, I know they are both on the shorter side.
I would love Lawrence to do Dr Feelgood by Aretha Franklin.

Love you all!
until I get the full studio version of Whatcha Want, this will do - I love that one soo much.
The Rolling Stones thing is hilarious. LIFE magazine had a cover story about Can The Rolling Stones Keep It Together For Yet Another Tour? . . . back in 1972.
Can they please have an immediate co-headliner tour with vulfpeck. I am pretty sure they already had been asked this a thousand times.
Yay! Love Lawrence
