Listening to these motors, takes me back to 1967 1968, when my dad could tell by the sound of lorry coming down the road to the yard, what lorry it was, who was driving it, and weather it was loaded or not, and he never got to see the motor till it pulled in the yard, miss you dad, great times as a kid, and a special time in my life, now I have 7 kids and 5 grandchildren, but those memories are so clear

When I was a firefighter in Belfast in the 1970s and 80s we had AEC fire engines when I got the offer to train as a driver I jumped at the chance they were great fire engines.
