Cool!!..as a teen in the late 60's a buddy and myself would skip school to relic hunt that area..lots of very interesting finds..most of which ended up going to the museum in Richmond..some of which we kept too!!👍👍
The cannonball is an amazing find. The smile says it all. Many say that you shouldn't dig it, I say otherwise. That cannonball will be in many conversations in the future and will be a reminder of friends sharing time with each other. We all wish we had hunts like this but be proud of others who do and take us to the field with them and let us experience it as well. Great job guys, more history saved.
Wow what a cannonball, great video guys.if you will put some MINWAX Wood Hardener on that piece of wood it will persevere it and last for a long time. I did a video called "How to make punky wood rock hard" with .44 mag bullets in the wood and it turn out beautifully. It dry to a natural look, not shiny.
Just wow!!! This is what I love about this hobby. We never know what we'll find, where we'll find it and where it could lead use ( your badge). Congratulations guys. Oh! by the way how long did it take? Thanks for sharing. 🤙🏼Chris🤙🏼
Thanks, it was an awesome experience for all of us. Mike was extremely happy. This was his first dug artillery shell. He has been detecting for some time and definitely deserves it. From the time that he found it to getting it out of the tree I think it probably took between 15-20 minutes for it to finally break free. His little predator shovel was definitely put to the test. This would be a perfect promotion video for their shovels for sure. Thanks for watching our videos and God bless. JP Hunts.
You can’t get permission to hunt a battlefield. Civil War Battlefields are protected property and it’s illegal to go on park service property. We get permissions from private property land owners which are around battlefields but not actually on battlefields. Again you can only Metal detect on private property such as farms where you have permission from those private property land owners. Hope this helps out. God bless.
Desecrating hallowed ground. That's these youtubers for ya

Do you ever attempt to use the pin pointer to locate the target before you dig such a large plug?
