I've been playing bass for nearly 20 years, and i'm just now finding out about James Dewar, wow how could I have missed such a talented voice. Time to do my research, thanks!
When I think of Trower, I think of James. So strange that he was given so little credit. I think the casual listener thought it was Robin singing and playing.
On a Spring day back in '78 my old man asked me if I had heard of Robin Trower, I said I had not. He mentioned that as he was driving home from work listening to KZAP FM (Sacramento) he heard a song by him. That weekend I was at a Tower Records and bought the LP "For Earth Below" just on what my Father had said about Trower.
