Amazing writers, musicians, vocals, imagination in abundance.XTC are just so special.
I saw Robin Tower in the mid 70's in LA he put on an amazing show!
Pure Heaven of the 70s, nice time without rap💩
Anyone who doesn't believe that music is a conduit to a higher consciousness needs to listen to this....Robin Trower's playing is transcendent.....James Dewar's exquisite vocals, ethereal_this is truly music of and for the gods_
Jimmy Dewars vocals are amazing on this track ,RIP JAMES
No one has ever come close to Robin Trower 🖖
I have always loved this song since the 70s. I bought the album when it came out. I saw him at the House Of Blues years ago. Long time fan.
Sheer brilliance this, beyond anything you think you may be privy to . . .
Depuis que j ai 15 ans j ai adoré Robin tower et son groupe ,j en ai 65 aujourd'hui et je m en lasse pas
this song is the best for summer time, its so joyful and just so beautiful, the background chirpings of the insects and instruments used here, and how they are played really set the mood for a good summer vacay! thank you XTC
I listen every time I wanna feel like summertime… 😅
Jimmy Dewar was magnificent and Robin's tone also.
This song sounds incredible in the car. Rock on, Dick Dale!!!!
I can't hear this without crying 😢
As beautiful as when it first came out. Have given the album as a present to many people including the girl I was supposed to be with forever - it didn’t work out that way but she liked the album though!
CHARLIE...
"I am the image maker ! I am the magic maker ! I can turn even the most ordinary man in the world into a star !" To prove my point ... I'm goin to find the most mundane little man - and turn him into a celebrity !"
Weeping willow cry for me.
I found I myself in the parking.lot of an invisible seven-eleven..where's my head, baby
Hearing the pup let out a little yip bark. Love it!!!🐶
The guitar fuzz is exquisitely done…not to harsh yet crunchy..love this song ! 🎸
a hidden gem
Me and my mate always argue about who is the greatest English band of all time, he says Roxy Music, I say XTC. I admit it’s a close call! PS. I’ll exclude the stones and the Beatles as i get them but never been a huge fan of either.

Absolutely bizarre songwriting/production; real prog-pop genius freaks these lads!
When I play Robin Trower I think nobody has that same vibe.So heavy.
It's remarkable! I've heard these tracks a thousand times since my youth in the 1980s and they still give me goosebumps.

Happy 4th!!
Summer`s Cauldron remembers me a bit on Tears for Fears! (Or should I say, Tears for Fears began to sound like XTC at the end of the 80s?)
My favorite 80s album.

Thanks for putting this up. This is how it is heard on the album. Every version of this combo on yt seems to disappear for some reason.
Jimmy the man Dewar, such a soulful sound bellowing from those lungs , Absolutely magnificent. Lucky enough to have seen him 1975.
This sounds exactly like the recor. Whats going on? Is it sync'd in?
Dewar's voice is incredible.
😊😮o🎉l
This album always reminds me of seemingly -endless childhood summers in the eighties. So evocative. Hits me in the feels every time.
Smokin' da grass n' poundin' da grass...all good things 😉
James Dewar.....what can I say....his voice pulls out so much emotion....imo absolutely a legend.
This is such a sad tune that the first time i heard it (on a horribly dull October morning when going to work i might add,) i had a HUGE lump in the throat for most of that day.
Have this on a 45. B-side of Mr. Eliminator. Yup, I'm old.
Amazing
⭐ XTC wins the golden star sicker of a life time. Seamless from Summers Cauldron to Gass... Flawless
SUBLIME! Unbelievable songwriters and delightfully inventive players to boot!
The most beautiful song ever written.
-Lyrics- Long misty days Told me they would change their ways Once in a while will come my way The thrill is gone Misty days linger on and on Once in a while is here to stay We feed this fire Lovers in a nursery rhyme The words belong to you And the melody was mine Long misty days Told me in a million ways Once in a while will come my way Oh how the moon Shining at a lonely room Weeping willow cry for me Sing me a song Simple as the day is long I love someone crying to be free And take the sky And tell me if the moon is blue And if it's meant to be That my melody was used Long misty days Told me in a million ways Once in a while will come my way Long misty days Told me they would change the ways Once in a while is here to stay
Andy's woozy, humid rumination on the sunniest season giving way to Colin's sweetly suggestive ode to love al fresco: a great start to one of my favorite albums.
Song to cruise on the highway with
I've been hearing this song hundreds of times 😎😎😎
