    Your increase wheel diameter experiments is basically what lead to the notorious Tsar Tank.
    I'd like to see the big wheels on a four wheel chassis, maybe with 4 wheel drive. Also, what if you added rubber for traction? I think that would make things work better.
    Or, what would happen if you just kept adding wheels? What's the limit to the gap you can cross if you just keep adding powered axles? Is there a maximum gap to vehicle length ratio?

If that is the case, then with enough gears the time between chunks of movement would be so long that the gear is effectively still.

    So something i actually did to make up credit in my lego robotics class in high school was to design a car with square wheels that worked, and i feel in that first example square wheels would be superior because it could get leverage on the sides of the tables and push itself up and over the gap.
    Thinking about this more, probably octagonal wheels or maybe hexagonal would be better. I remember those square wheels made a hell of a racket and didnt get much grip, mostly just hopped forward at a random pace. Not effective but somewhat functional.

      @pyromaniac000000 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@thelogician3845 well really it just needs some way to get some amount of leverage on the too side of the table. Round wheels will get stuck because they can only get grip on the bottom and not the sides, once there is nothing below them they cant get grip. Having not round wheels or chains means they can rotate until one side can push directly down on to the top of the table and get just enough lift to keep going. Gives you away to put downward force from the wheels on the sides not just the bottom

    When you're spinning the wheel really fast (e.g. 17000 RPM), stick something between the spokes. Something other than your finger.
    Also, somebody else suggested letting the 24000 RPM cheap wheel go loose.

    • @straightpipediesel

      When you're going really fast, it becomes hard to put something in between: it gets pushed out of the way by an oncoming spoke before you get too deep.
