Fishing here on Holborn lake and yes fish dead on opp bank where river is and fresh otter paw marks going into lake . No wonder they are held up in shallow out of bounds area and not moving around 3 days in and one single bleep

Love the content as always! Been a massive help for my carp in the past few years! And if you haven’t used the natrapel that bop milling sell then get on it game changer 👊

After spending time being the head fisheries officer for three years I struggled to understand why national England protect otters and cormorant we pay for a licence but we get shafted all the time

If the rivers and seas where in better condition otters and cormorants wouldn't need to come onto fisheries to feed. There's a lack of fish in the natural waters so their coming into fisheries for a free meal, it's sad for fisherman and fishery owners but you can't blame the predators the only people to blame are our national water and sewage companies for leaving the water in such a terrible state.

So sad to see the kills getting more common place everywhere and places like this obviously are running the fishing as part of their business, but how long will that last??. I counted up to 40 swans on a lake a month or so ago, found 3 otttered recently, now there are only a couple of pairs left on there even though the rivers are really high so obviously they have all been scared off.
Joe public is told they don't attack swans as they are too big, its a lie!

I have seen a rise in foreigners trapping and snagging swans for food. You find baited traps all the time in Kent left of river bridges and in the side of park lakes.

Never heard of tench being 'nuisance' fish.
Fill a hole with mud 🐖 and leave at that

There are no nuisance species, but stock can be manipulated to suit specific requirements.

It's good to see what's in the lakebit I'vee holiday and fished this lake since the early 90's, it was some of the best tench, roach and Rudd fishing in the area fishing brea flake so to me it's pretty sad day that this lake is being turned in to a primarily carp lake.
The other lake were ruined when the huge head of bream had been removed and sold on and replaced by a silly amount of carp which has bullied the other species out now, Such a shame.

I cannot believe the apathy and lack of balls amongst the angling community in this country. I'm sure that if anglers carry on happily fishing the well fenced, high stock puddles that cost a fortune they will never see the state of more natural venues which cannot be fenced. Funny how all the fish breeders/suppliers and the cotswold waterpark society won't say or have a word said about otters, cormorants and signal crayfish. Simple really, they are making mugs out of you all . I've been fortunate enough to have caught some wonderful fish over many years on the waterpark but now it's all about the money and angling clubs are struggling to keep costs down and stocks safe. So to hear and read about people being so blase about the predation of these amazing fish is pitiful.
