Just take the strands of hair out of the loc first, then from there you can cut the loc to make it shorter or you can take it out the way it is. Practice one loc how to take it out when you first put this in
I've been doing this method for like 3 years - if you ever find the crochet method difficult just carefully unravel the loc and wrap around your hair - the bobby boss, freestress hippie, freestress goddess are all good locs and snap back easily after unraveling

I do these and call them ‘soft locs’ because they look different from faux locs. I think you would save more time if you didn’t pull the braid through the middle of the hair. I pull the crochet loc through the hair and then then take spring twist hair and wrap it around the braid and loc til it runs out
This style is not as easy as it looks. My daughter braids were showing through the locs. Had to wind up wrapping the hair around her braids. God bless you for this talent you make it look so easy lol
It looked good before you used the passion twist. Very nice. That pull though method is perfect. Im thinking about what other styles I can use that method on.

I decided to use a beading needle and it was much easier and faster for my shoulder length hair.. Thanks for sharing

i don't know if you ever changed up your methot but it you add the crotchet onto a leg of the braid before braiding down it saved LOTS of time! you also wont have to braid all the way down and that'll save down as well
I'm definitely going to buy these locs and try to add the curly hair to the ends! I used to do my hair like this without the crochet. I would do it by hand.

I did some faux locs today and it took me 3 hours and some .. Because the stylist plait like a few of my hair then wrapped it .. then plait a few more then wrapped it .. and so on. Also you don’t have to fight to make perfect parts because that takes up alot of time as well. But that’s just my pov...
I want to do this on my hair, but my hair is already mid back length. Do I need to braid it all the way down or can I braid it down about 2 inches and then twist the rest of the hair

I think since the look your going for is distressed I would skip hiding the hair in the loc and just wrap over both together

Also you could use hair glue instead of burning or using nail glue. Like put a dab of track glue on the end and it will seal.
