    absolutely love the way you guys did this video, very informative but also relaxed and didn't feel like youre reading from a brochure. This will be my first high end out door gear, a want to be able to wear it around town once in a while. i think i can live with not having normal hand pockets

    Ordered the glitch AR from your website - pretty sure it’s this colour. Great video because I wasn’t sure which size to get!!

    Very nice review. Thank you! Do you know if there's a big difference between the Alpha AR and the SV? (esp. regarding waterproofness and breathability). In my mind I would always go for the SV just to increase my odds for staying dry.

    • @trekitt
      @trekitt  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It's hard to quantifiably say how much more waterproof/breathable one over the other is, the the SV uses a 100D fabric and Gore-Tex Pro Most Rugged throughout, whereas the AR uses 40/80D fabrics and a mixture of Gore-Tex Pro Most Rugged and Most Breathable. The SV is really only beneficial if you're pushing your gear to the absolute limit. Both will provide more than enough waterproof protection for 99% of scenarios. Harry

    Is the DWR used on this jacket really PFC free? There is no mention of this on the Arcteryx website.

    Is this better than the beta LT waterproof ? The arms on this jacket look so big for you tho I could not wear mine like that

    • @30m3
      @30m3 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Nope. It's tougher than the LT though.

    • @trekitt
      @trekitt  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Neither is better than the other as such, they're just for different things. This is a far tougher, more technical piece aimed at climbing and mountaineering, so naturally it costs more. Harry

    I’m thinking of pulling the trigger on this, my 2 goretex jackets have lasted 20 years but I’m still thinking I don’t need to spend £500 for a wet weather jacket

    • @trekitt
      @trekitt  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      It depends what you're up to. Most people don't need the Alpha AR, but for those who need the most durable, technical hardshell for climbing and mountaineering, there are few better options. Harry

    What can you buy to put on my arcteryx down jacket to help bounce rain of it Ino it’s not waterproof the jacket but to help it deal with bit of rain ?

    • @trekitt

      Yes definitely. For everyday use, almost any waterproof from us would work. This is a good option that's significantly cheaper: www.trekitt.co.uk/clothing/jackets/rab-mens-downpour-eco-jacket-black__41887

    Ben wants this jacket to be longer sooo bad.

    • @trekitt

      Probably. Ben's also 6 inches taller than the average, though, so for most it's probably fine.
