I think the one thing that I would have added to this is that you shouldn't feel like you HAVE to go out and party. I was pressured big time my freshman year and it led me down some pretty god awful paths. If going out and partying isn't your thing, don't feel like you have to do it in order to have a normal college experience. There's nothing wrong with sitting in bed and watching Netflix on a saturday night. Sometimes, it's honestly better.
Cliques are all throughout life. Even at work smh. You just gotta learn to be ok with not "fitting in" or being accepted by every single person. Do your own thing, have people you cool with and leave it at that ✌

Lol they are definitely not more mature in college. It depends on the person, of course, but generally, I would say they are slightly more mature in some ways, but still immature and learning how to go about things I guess
I agree that it's okay to be not so sure about what you wanna do in school but also for the students that have financial aid it has a set amount of credits that financial aid will cover before they have to start paying for it out of their pockets so be careful about trying a bunch of classes
i love watching college videos and seeing people talk about buying textbooks. at my college you rent your books from the school and the rental cost is included in your tuition. i realize how lucky i am but it is just interesting to hear about buying books
I would like to add that if a student is planning to be apart of the engineering school (or other schools that I am unsure of) then be careful about trying out different classes! My experience is that in engineering there is so many major courses that there is barely any room to take any non-required classes. Taking a couple non-curriculum classes will cause you to stay an extra semester or quarter! Just my input 👍🏽
I feel like you can still definitely still get alone time in college. You don't have the exact same classes as your roommate so you'll get alone time then and there's many more times you'll be alone

Rest of the semester turned into passive aggressive notes and her throwing up on the floors and my stuff after getting drunk.
heyit's jemma no everyone has their own group of friends. The only person everyone may know is student government president because they speak at a lot of campus events. College is not a popularity contest because everyone tends to focus on their own interests and future career goals. Hope this helps!

Also sometimes when you buy a textbook, they might have the access code listed as well but then the professors don't even require them, which is so frustrating because the access code is the expensive part!!
Great video! College is definitely about trial and error. Don't be afraid to change your major if you don't end up liking it. Also, true you don't always need the textbooks!
The drama thing is SO true. My freshmen year, a bunch of girls on my floor hated me because of something someone said, but none of them actually hung out with me. Even senior year, drama was everywhere. I didn't buy a lot of books too. If I did get them, I usually rented them so then they were a little cheaper. I had a 9am once. Never again. Lol.
Your college videos are my absolute favorite and I completely agree with the roommates point- I became friends with this girl in my first year of college and we grew pretty close and we decided to be flatmates in our second year and it was completely the worst experience! One thing I would say is I just finished my freshman year and my two semesters were very different. My first semester I was taking 9ams about four times a week and the second semester I wouldn't have classes until 11am or even 1pm some days. I found myself to be much more productive the first semester because I would be up and started my day versus sleeping in til 10 all the time. So test out what works for you. I'm the worst morning person ever like don't talk to me but 9am seemed to be the earliest I could do and 10am the latest because I like to wake up an hour before class
Olivia Rodriguez Depending on how easily you wake up you can make your alarm a vibration and place your phone under you while you sleep. That would wake me up but I'm a light sleeper.
Having my own room growing up and suddenly going to never being alone was kind of suffocating at times so what I would do is go to the library or coffee shop sometimes just to get some alone time 😂

Everyone will accept if you are with the right group of people that you know you can trust and love to be around. Thing number 12: It's okay to show up to class in pajamas... everyone is tired and the professor isn't going to tell you anything about to changing, unless they have a certain dress code, they will just look at you and say "I'm tired too" or "I wish I could be in my pajamas too" Thing number 13: Always check your emails because there are always chances that class will get canceled because the professor has an emergency, appointment, or is sick and maybe even doesn't feel like teaching for the day. Thing number 14: bikes and skateboards are you friends when going around campus. Thing number 15: Study groups are good to have even if getting distracted every 20 minutes. Because at least you are trying. Thing number 16: it is okay to fail, you can always retake the class. Extra credit is also a life saver to help keep grades up.
