Their poses say a lot about them in the slash final wave. Gokai Red is just going for the “man I’m good” type of stance. Blue is very serious, as if he wants to go all in. Yellow is much more playful and tomboyish when she spins around her sword. Green is goofy, using his sword as a bat. And finally, pink treats her sword with respect, reflecting her kind nature. These nice gestures make the show look and feel awesome.

As the dedicated swordsman, Joe is the only one using two hands on the gun while taking a pretty basic Isosceles Stance.
Marvelous and Luka go one-handed like the classic duelist. Luka has her body turned as the old-fashioned way to make herself harder to hit. Marvelous doesn't bother because, well he's Marvelous.
Don/Doc and Ahim are used to firing a gun one-handed thanks to their dual-pistol styles. But they still use their off-hand for support similar to the Harries Grip. They're being extra cautious for the finisher.

@Carrie Helms I think they are exchanging story each other, and sometime they combine the story such as some when 2 or more Super Sentai meet together, some come from America (Saban), some story are the same. It's just Super Sentai was made for Asian style and Power Ranger for USA style, I think.
The costume budget for this series must have been INSANE! Especially when you consider you have to make male and female versions of some Ranger suits.

Shinkenger was what introduced me to Super Sentai and I've been in love ever since. When I saw Super Megaforce, even though I was a Sentai-only fan, I was insulted by it because I knew PR-only fans would think the source material (Gokaiger) would suck. The same thing happens with me when an anime gets horribly dubbed.

Since the language structure is different, it’s really hard to translate Japanese to English. This is why I hate watching cartoon in Japanese since they speak weird.
I think Super Megaforce also has a good point. But for me, I love watching Super Sentai in Japanese language with sub. This let me enjoy the original voice with the feeling of each character, and the whole story as well.
I understand that sub may not 100% as original voice but it is still better than dub.
@@gaeru0006 Japanese language is reverse structure to English. Since my feeling of loving Japanese anime, Super Sentai, and Kamen rider is stronger, this is not a problem to me anymore :)
The Dekaranger Gokai Change in the tribute episode is my fav. The silence during the change followed by the Dekaranger theme was awesome!

Gokaiger just keeps depressing me further that it's so immensely well made and so respectful of every single team and power it brings up, it makes Super Megaforce that much more insulting.
I think Saban forgot a lot of their past. They didn't even try to find a better scene to do the group morph into Mighty Morphin than the one where the guy from the Shinkenger episode kicks their butts.
Then again, they were a particular type of Lazy: For the battle against the Levira/Insarn they actually replaced the Vul Eagle Gokai Change with Red Mighty Morphin'/TyrannoRanger... but they kept all the others as New Powers. They literally half-assed it and not even in a good way, because the final pose had the five of them in their legendary change and... WHY?! You could had kept the 5 of them as usual, but you changed one of them. And even had to bring the suits for the other four to make the scene! THERE WAS NO NEED!!

sure thing is that saban blew a golden oportunity to make the most epic and nostalgic season of PR. Well...Gokaiger it's exactly that, i like how they made the whole season a full aniversary season, something that we are not used to

Most of Super Sentai and Power Rangers has its own unique but just some fit with our own stories :) and some fit with other's.

I will never understand how a series that was so flashy, with so much lore and love behind it, got such a boring adaptation in "Power Rangers: MegaForce/Super MegaForce."
I'm not sure about US version as I did not watch all but the Japanese version is quite an adventure one of member gathering until the last member, Gai, the earthling. Gokaiger: 51 Episodes, 2 Movies, 2 Specials, and at least 1 actor returning through each Sentai season.
Super Megaforce: 20 Episodes, no specials, actors unvited, no one in disney era invited but Jungle Fury Red (beacuse he was a director or something like that). AAAAAAND Low Budget. And like this wasn't enough, the writters decided to make Sentai references without an explanation.
Megaforce isn't a complete flop because the 1st Season by itself, as a Goseiger adaptation, it's better than the sentai. But only Megaforce.

I know it’s called the Gokai Galleon Buster but I think it would be cooler if instead of the Attack Blast forming the shape of the Gokai Galleon, the Attack Blast took the form of the Zord that belonged to whichever Ranger Key was in the Main Slot.

The other teams lost their powers in a mostly offscreen event at the beginning of the show having them transformed into little trinkets that the Gokaiger find and can use to turn into their suits. So no Pirating, it's more like they stole their suits than anything.

If the part when everyone transform with the same color was orgasmic for me that just watched power rangers and then I saw Gokaiger, I cant imagine how it was for a long time sentai fan to watch diferent members of diferents groups at the same time, I love tokusatsu
I’ve never seen any Super Sentai season before and decided to watch Gokaiger as I was always interested in the anniversary of bringing back all the previous sentai but stayed away as Power Rangers Megaforce was so bad at their anniversary season and honoring previous seasons but Gokaiger was seriously so well done! The way they didn’t abuse the previous characters and just ended it with a quick but meaningful montage of original rangers getting their powers back was so awesome instead of the horribly cheesy and boring “legacy battle” or whatever they called it in Super Megaforce where they teased the battle for over two years just for a boring mess of a fight scene.

Shout! Factory had been releasing Super Sentai in the states as DVD boxed sets for a while, but after releasing Hurricaneger they just stopped. Considering that around that same time Hasbro bought the broadcast and distribution rights to Power Rangers and Super Sentai, I think we know what happened.

I half hoped they kept the final wave finisher for the variety of finishers they could've done with it but at the same time, it was satisfying and special how they got the galleon buster that it didn't really bother me seeing them using it over and over for the latter half of the show.
Now that you mentioned it, I agree they overused the Galleon Buster. Overkill in some cases. There were commanders who had incredible magic abilities (anger darts, doll transforming), but not the toughness to justify the cannon. And it might've been a good insult, "Eh, he's not worth the Buster. Gokai Slash!"
The way these guys were fighting as Dairanger was as though they weren't putting in all their effort.
Maybe they already know that Dairanger's skill is strong enough to take out those enemy.
The Trash Compactor Scene looks like The Real Ghostbusters where they used Garbage Trucks as Ghost Traps :)

Man. this just makes me think that with so many changes involving non-adapted sentai seasons, either they would have needed to spend extra money to make more original footage for megaforce (especially if they wanted to make any footage regarding titanium ranger), or they would have needed to make Megaforce a full "preparation / set up" season, bascially having the goseigers suits asas "obligatory suits we were contractually obligated to use", adapting the unadapted sentai seasons as lost powers and giving quick backstories to them (at least to the level aquitar rangers got back in the day and more than "new powers" like we got).
Also, a lot of full morphs would have needed original footage using the transformation used for the power rangers adaptation if they really wated to go all they way the extra mile.
sure some full morphs could have been easy to recreate (in space full morph, lost gaalxy full morph, time force full morph and lightspeed full morph) but others would have probably been a nightamre (RPM full morph, dino thunder full morph)
Out of all the gokaigers gokai yellow gives off the most amount of character her poses are so sassy and cool I love it. In all the finishers I can't help but look at her.

Gokaiger is the best super sentai season cause all the characters had a interesting back story being 5 space pirates from 5 different worlds forming one team and the 6th ranger also pretty interesting even tho he from Earth just sad Super Megaforce basically split in his legendary season in its face and give it a huge middle finger

They already had the skirted versions of those suits. It was cheaper to just keep using them.
After watching this and seeing how good Zyuranger looked, I actually wouldn’t be mad if Hasbro decided to do a new season or reboot of the MMPR suits in a more adult themed based off the Boom comics series which would make sense why Hasbro left Toei behind since they can just profit off of the massive hype the comics created while profiting off of their most popular power ranger line
It's just a different vision between Hasbro and Toei. But I think both are good. And just I like Gokaiger than any other.
