I am a surveyor and we work in some places that can be pretty far from help. (Mountains of California). And i have one of your small kits. The headlamp is a great idea! Ive got some extra ones im gonna put one inside.
Another thing i added is a couple of Narcan/Naloxone rescue inhalers. Because sometimes i work in areas too where there are alot of homeless and people on the streets. You just never know.

You should put a set of back pack skins on the case and maybe some sort of cushion for your back if you have to leave your car for a while with it.
