im using a 30 watt machine when raised out of focus it became shiny and a darkblueish lowered 2 mm under focus it almost good lowered speed to 700 not perfect black but a very dark brownish little matte stainless steel i think 304 polished but very very close thank you much for your video

If I understood you correctly, you got black by slowing down the speed and raising the lens by approximately one centimeter
i think different fiber lasers with different lens/power have different settings.
