Resolve the armature flux into horizontal and vertical components... You'll see field flux is opposed by the vertical component of armature flux. Hope it heps.
Pawan Bhakuni i have one more doubt, in leading pf field is increased and it will increase emf and it will again increase current and magnetising flux then emf will again increase why this not happen~?
bhai apne galat bataya hain.In case of leading pf armature reaction is magnetising as well as cross magnetising.and similarly in case of lagging pf armature reaction is demagnetising as well as cross magnetising
